Thank you for this tutorial. I'm complete noob on UT and this was really helpfull, I'm still trying to learn the basics of the movements like the walldodging etc, I'm not sure whether to use the double taps or the onetapdodge button that is in the game now, I feel like the doubletaps are easier afterall even if it doesn't feel that way.
very curious to know what keyboard + mouse you are using, as well as what your keybinds are like! also how you take care of your hands with gaming + piano playing...i am a weightlifter and sometimes it becomes too much for my wrists to play shooters after coming home from the gym
+mattiik I use a Razer Blackwidow Chroma keyboard and a Logitech G502 Proteus. Keybinds for movement are standard settings. I just use a lot of weapon hotkeys, as I got familiar with them since UT2004. Gaming+Piano playing doesn't affect my wrists/hands at all, there is no pain whatsoever. Compared to weightlifting it both really is not a lot of strain for the muscles, tendons and bones. Weightlifting is massive stress for the wrist joints and combined with excessive gaming with a cramped posture could chronically lead to conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome. Make sure to give your hands time for regenerating whenever you feel uncomfortable :) Thanks for your comment.
Any advantage of double tap over single key dodge? I've been playing with single key but wonder if I'm missing anything. Anyway, thanks for the video, as clear as it gets :)
+CC Mesh When i created the tutorial, shift was the wallside, now it is replaced by the wallrun, which you get by holding spacebar. So just hold space instead of shift :)

thank you for the swift reply! i think some of my discomfort is from the mouse grip i'm using, hopefully it will improve once i replace my old g400 :D
Nice done you get my sub do you make more maps?
+Markus hilbert Thank you :) I am working on DM-Lea currently.

rurzan no, it's just a habit from me, because I'm used to ut2004 :) both is fine
Nice video. Btw i think that its much easier to do
Yep you are right. At the time I made the video, it wasn't able to hold space yet. The game is still in development :)
What the name of the song after 20 secs
+Age of AMV's The whole song in the video is the Main Menu Theme of the new Unreal Tournament:
ua-cam.com/video/__pRaen_n80/v-deo.html
+zed1122 Oh strtange it looks like dissidia theme
+Age of AMV's well it does have some trumpet fanfare uplifting parts but i dont think the similarity is TOO close :)
COOL!!!
What does shift do ?
+CC Mesh When i created the tutorial, shift was the wallside, now it is replaced by the wallrun, which you get by holding spacebar. So just hold space instead of shift :)
I can't perform a wallrun after a walljump
Watch my DM-Lea tutorial to see how wallruns work :) Link is in the description.
