That's a nice build. I currently have a budget specialized pitch that I've been slowly adding better parts onto. I eventually want to get a karate monkey frame and swap all my parts to it.
Great bike Tomi. I have a Krampus which is fun for sure. Hot tip fit cutting cable ties, try using nail clippers - they leave a round edge so you don't scratch yourself. Sweet!
i didnt put a tensioner on my KM, i set the hub nearest to the bottom bracket for a short chainstay.. Heres my xc-ish build Surly KM 29" SR Suntour Axon [120mm] PNW Loam dropper+remote PNW grips PNW handlebar PNW stem Microshift Advent X Shimano Deore 10s chainset Shimano MT400/500? The 4 pot version WTB rims on Shimano hub+surly skewer
I believe the Ogre geometry is meant for commuting and long distance bike touring whereas the karate monkey has a more hardtail feel for park riding or short term bikepacking trips.
That is a gorgeous ride!!
Thank you!

What would be the difference between the karate monkey and the ogre
I believe the Ogre geometry is meant for commuting and long distance bike touring whereas the karate monkey has a more hardtail feel for park riding or short term bikepacking trips.
