Hello Notion geeks (or soon-to-be converts). It's such a lovely place to take everything that's in your brain and dump it on a page (in an organised fashion of course). Here's a peek at the process of me figuring out how to set up a Notion reading planner and prettifying it. Any and all tips are VERY welcome.
I don't know how I never heard of The Storygraph before but I'm not even three minutes into watching this video and I paused it, downloaded it, created an account and imported my Goodreads stats haha. Okay time to continue watching haha.
Oooh, I'm early I think! Lemme settle in with a cuppa :) may I say the lighting and colours in this video (on the vlog footage ofc) is really nice? Idk if it turned out any different to normal or if you did something different in post, but either way it feels really warm and inviting :) And as such a planning and list making geek I feel like Notion would be very exciting for me to get into, but it would also be something I'd definitely have to spend an afternoon at least getting my head around, if that makes sense? EDIT: Also I feel you on the half organised half chaotic vibe - my autism and ADHD sides of my brain are constantly fighting each other, one wanting everything to be organised and prepared, and the other wanting to throw it all out the window and just do whatever xD
That's so nice, thank you! I've been favouring a more soft and warm look for my videos, so very much appreciate the compliment! If you struggle with having notes and things you want to remember all over the place on different platforms, this can be a pretty good way to get it all in one place, and at the very core it's just a list of pages, so if you start there you can make it more complicated if you feel like it later on!
@@booksandquills Awwh that's great! Yeah the softer warm look really works :) anything specific you've been doing to get that look, in filming or edits and such? Ooooh, that does sound very useful - I'm terrible for having a bunch of different notebooks with stuff scribbled in them, my main bullet journal, *and* random notes on my phone that I make and then forget that they even exist xD So being able to dump them all in one place sounds hella useful!
@@HeyItsAJOmega Haha I know the 'lots of lists in random places' issue very well. 😅 I'm filming in 4K for higher quality when I can, and then lightening the shadows (so the darkest bits are grey rather than black) and going for a warmer colour grade!
I went on a press trip to Latvia too! It was so interesting and I want to make sure I get around to reading some of the books I got there. :) Do you happen to have any specific recommendations?

Wow, you are going to read latvian literature? I am latvian and completely shocked and amazed and HERE FOR IT 100% 🤩
