One "Bucket List" item that, sadly, will likely never get crossed off. I've been a King Diamond fan since Fatal Portrait (I'm old) but have lived the past 30 years overseas and I don't think King is going to come to Japan again. At least I have UA-cam to watch/listen to great performances like this. Thank you for posting.
I was there just to the left of the sound board. Great show! A few slip up’s here and there but who cares, it’s LIVE! Not to mention King is 67. About my 10th time seeing King Diamond/Mercyful Fate so I’m just glad he’s making another round at his age. Eventually it will stop so just enjoy it while ya can. Age will always be undefeated.
I've been loving King for years, I'm definitely a fan, I hope I get to see a show before I die. One of the few band shirts I own, actually. Cheers to you all and THE King Diamond! 🍻
Great footage and sound quality. You really captured the show. King sounds better than the first show of the tour here. Stoked to see him in Oakland in a month or so!
King Diamond is a fucking legend. amazing show ill always remember. I was in the pit or right by it the whole set I had the glow in the dark hair idk if it shows up on here. Long live the King.
Love the extended ending where they hold a note and the drums go off...that's how you do a proper ending. Myrkur is also killing it. She's bang on most harmonies and doesn't get thrown off by King when he sometimes goes flat or improvises a bit. Total pro there.
I was there! This was great. The only eff-ups I saw was Mike not turning his guitar down at the right moment for Sleepless nights. Otherwise, it was great. Seeing it live was amazing. I have waited years!
They seem in better form than the opening night footage which would be expected. A new band member & new stage concept needs a little time. New approaches to old songs is refreshing
anyone remember the short video series here "metal grasshopper" where Dave becomes Phil Anselmo's apprentice.. and Dave, while on the toilet, picks up a phone call from King Diamond? funny shit
What an amazing show, thanx for filming :) Looking forward to the Vancouver date🤘🤘🤘. Does anyone know if they are doing the VIP meet & greets before or after the show?
@ Well it’s not easily ascertained. Didn’t see anything on his socials or website. You think he’d be courteous enough to name his touring band on the website. I’m a fan but I haven’t listened to every single recording the man has done.
@ No worries. King Diamond has had so many 2nd guitarist, bass players and drummers over his career. The only stable one has been Andy LaRocque. The current lineup is Myrkur on backing vocals and keyboards, Pontus Egberg on bass, Matt Thompson on drums and Mike Wead and Andy on guitars, King, of course, the vocal. Hope you get to see King Diamond if you can, it’s an entertaining show.
I was there the audience on average was 40+ even me and my dad said that when we saw the crowd. I was a little let down by the excitement but I went wild at this show
I was Trying to mosh with the people there but there wasn't a ton on the floor and most people just moved far out of the way so it was a wide pit with like 6 people in it
If he is mixing up and trying diff vocal lines out on Electro Therapy, he should stick to how he sang the chorus on the earlier shows. It was flat here. But yes, a few screw ups here or there but thats live baby! No tracks
Oh Miriam this is Miriam... And he sang the next verse over the solo break? King is not in good shape. Voodoo sounds terrible too. Lots of mumbling through forgotten lyrics, lots of off pitch vocals. Yikes.
i have been to king diamond live shows since the 80s, i just saw this last night in st. pete. He was more in touch with the crowd here. Times have changed and it was the first KD show where i sat the entire time😅... Back to the King. The man is 68 years old , and has had many health issues in recent years. And he comes to my town because he loves to perform for US. Be critical all you want , by no means is this a vince neil or any of the others who made fools of himself in the arena. This is King staying Heavy for the Fans .. I loved it..
@@wethepeople7961I've been going to King and Fate shows since the early 90's. Im a big fan as well. There's a couple things Im critical of. I dont want to go of he is just going to die on stage. Love the guy, dont want to see that. Secondly, the setlist is about the same as it has been for 30 years. He's got so many other songs to play. Can you imagine if he opened with "The Lake" and then went straight into "The trees have eyes" maybe played "the exorcist" off of voodoo. Play something, anything off of graveyard. How about "from the otherside" 🤷🏻♂️
@@burnonethird i agree the setlist is similar to the puppet master tour and yeah , you rarely hear house of god or the graveyard .... saw a show where the lake was an encore... I went for many reasons , first time to mahaffey , i usually see him in NY or Philly , and yeah for the love and nostalgia.. ✌️
King is still on top of His game

something wrong with the monitors definetely. At some points they are not in sync. However even with these circumstances King sounds amazing!❤

Thanks much for the footage. Saw this tour in Kansas City. Top 10 show for sure. King Diamond still up there with the all-time metal greats!
I was there KC was great!!!!
It's amazing how king diamond is such a kind person when offstage

ITS A MUST SEE
The true masters of heavy metal. Beyond Sabbath, Priest or Maiden
So great video ! Thanks for sharing !
The new songs are diamont! Long life the king! ♨️

I get to see him in November on the 25th, I am so f****** excited.
🤘⚡️🤘
king diamond forever !!!!
A fantastic show, I wish he would come to Tulsa, Oklahoma. (SUITE MISERY)
Amazing show, It was better viewed through the spirit world in person, but it is fun to have this to relive it
Ill be going on Monday!!!
Awesome! You must have been right near me filming this as this was my vantage point. Such a great show. Thanks for sharing.
Electro Therapy is awesome so far! Has that Alex Lifeson Hemispheres F chord 🤘🏻

That's my dad yelling HALLOWEEN in the background lol

King sang over the first solo in Abigail and then they just skipped it lol
I was there🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The man!!
They seem in better form than the opening night footage which would be expected. A new band member & new stage concept needs a little time. New approaches to old songs is refreshing
King rullezzzzz😊
I would like to hear the isolated vocals from the girl !
anyone remember the short video series here "metal grasshopper" where Dave becomes Phil Anselmo's apprentice.. and Dave, while on the toilet, picks up a phone call from King Diamond? funny shit
How does king play a show with no " Black horsemen?" 😢
No Family Ghost either. It was still a phenomenal show though!!!
Thanks for this. The messing up of the lyrics is really odd for King. He has sang Abigail probably 1000 times or more but something was really off.
That's odd. He sang it just fine the night before in Cincinnati.
@@vladtepes9614 i heard there was something miss with the communication. King couldn't hear the band.
What an amazing show, thanx for filming :) Looking forward to the Vancouver date🤘🤘🤘. Does anyone know if they are doing the VIP meet & greets before or after the show?
seemed low energy and an off night to me...
Did anyone see Rick Glockner there ?
you can really hear myrakr
He's sounding rough. So damn sad :(
Looks like Andy LaRocque, but who are the other band members?
Band members were introduced at 18:03
if you don't know who they are then you must not be a real fan ..
