  • The Precious was chosen by Jai Glindeman as his favorite of 5 Pyzel models tested in the film 'Ordinal', but much like it's Lord of the Rings reference, the board has a long history dating back to an old friend who asked for a one board quiver he could take around the world and have a good surf on.
"One board to rule them all" was the call and thus the name Precious came about!

It's the one board to ride them all one board to surf them one board to bring them all and in the barrel bind them

I know they are two completely different shapes, but how does the board compare to the Pyzalien 2 in terms of versatility and user-friendliness? Does this board also perform in hollow conditions?

--Online shoppers beware.newbie surfers too-- commenting because I found some major materials faults in a pyzel board and they are not worth buying...
After taking apart a snapped pyzel board I found multiple materials reasons to avoid them...
What happened was yesterday I found the nose half to a new pyzel short board and while stripping off the fibreglass the whole left side of the foam blank has dislodged on its own from the stringer (which is the wooden bit in the middle of the board). Me thinking that it was odd to see a (blank) disintegration of this proportion I further investigated 🧐and what I also😊 found was very shocking too.
What I also found was that the stringer which usually provided strength to boards was instead made of something other than the usually hard rigid ply wood and there was a soft black oil based, (smelt it) material the consistency of paper mashay as a (wood) substitute. Yes you read correctly...a soft paper mashay board strengthener (stringer) made out of something oil based (plastic mashay??).
And yes... I recently made a paper mashay pot for a pot-plant so I have an idea of what I am going on.
So online shoppers beware of the pyzel boards (blanks) with the black stringers. They are a bit of joke and will not last long. For newbies don't dare pick one up for yourself and tell everyone that you know that I said they are a joke.😊
Boards need to be strong not flexible. Having flexibility is a bit of a new one in the surfboard marketing game and I see through the stringerless (they crease) thing but paper mashay wow maybe hopefully time to look at other ways to feed off of the bottom of the pyramid.😅

PS- 80s blades brah. sharp pulled in noses (shadow, a little ghost, and a tiny bit red tiger because its rad, but where i draw the line on squatty non fun non fish non 70s retro pre 80s everyone finally figured it out blades' shapes, well and appropriately shaped from the rails and full outline (not absurdly and ridiculously so, but thats obvious, but im saying it anyway because i remember some excessively so noses in the 80s as well, which is almost as bad as the opposite), hood overall bottom flatness, v, and rocker for performance and versatility, and for gods sake, a reasonable tail, preferably rounded pin or rounded squash that is small enough like a pin, but rounded squash enough for added snappiness. this board has none of those traits, which is why you could not pay me to ride it ;)

normally i dont comment negatively, but since i am in self dialog in these posts comment sections, i will say that this is exactly the kind of board i loathe :) i dislike everything about it, except its shaper :)
