That 1999 playoffs was one of the greatest experiences ive ever had as a sports fan. To see my beloved knicks shock people and beat miami, sweep atlanta and then beat the pacers. Those 2 months will forever be in my heart.

Amazing moment. I was at that game. Incredible. I still get chills watching this. We all erupted at the same time. Absolute pandemonium!!! I was hugging people I didn't know. No one cared. It was a huge shot. Outside in the street the cops were doing the LJ and giving everyone high fives. Greatest sports moment of my life. Never forget it. 23 years ago today. Damn!!!!

Much like Starks' dunk, I get chills everytime I see that crowd jump up in the air. There is no better building in The NBA than The Garden

It was the most incredible comeback in NBA history, the only 4 point play that has decided a game ,I am from Brazil and I watched that game and I will not ever forget it in my entire life ,I always was a Knicks fan since 1984 when a Brazilian tv broadcasted a NBA game and since then I became a Knicks fan, thanks a lot Big L and the whole teamates

I couldn't agree with you more. I'm a HUGE NY sports fan, btu I don't think I've ever loved a team as much as I loved the 90's Knicks, especially the teams from 1992-1996

We’ll never see another Knick team like this. A hard nose, heart filled, and physical defensive team ever. I survived the 90’s Knick teams! It’s a shame we couldn’t win a championship. Ewing, Starks, Oakley and the fans deserved one. I was fortunate enough to have season tickets for that era. I’ll never get over trading away our heart and soul of the team Oakley for an injury prone toothpick Camby.

I miss the old days of basketball. I was only about 12 or 13 when LJ hit the shot and is still my biggest sports memory of all time. Why can't the NBA be like it was...tough competition throughout the league, players with class and heart...it has lost all the greatness it use to have.

When that moment happened time stood still. All who were watching were transported away from reality and just became a part of a single moment in time when nothing else mattered but that exact moment, Knicks fan or not.

I was at this game as a child. I was 12, sitting in section 346, my dad told me lets go near the exit to start beating traffic but we'll watch the end from there. I said whatever fine, there was alot of people doing this as well. He made the shot and it was the most insane thing I had ever been apart on, strangers were hugging and high 5'ving after the game people were running outside the garden screaming LJ!! It was the best game I had ever been to.

The crowd shot from above is one of the greatest images ever. I cried we had a party & not only were my friends & I screaming but when u hear the neighbors on both sides if the house screaming had chills. This was an 8th seed that went to the finals without ewing who got badly hurt during the second round. I do think they were not really an 8th seed bc of the shorter season.

The Best Basketball moment in MSG History!
    #1 LJ's 4 Point Play
#2 Willis Reed playing in Game 7 of '70 Finals
#3 Ewing's Tip Dunk in Game 7 of '94 ECF
    #4 Reggie's 8 Points in a few seconds in Game 1 of '95 ECSF
#5 Jordans dunk on Ewing in the '91 ECQF
I could write on forever but they're the moments that stick in my mind from the Garden.

Im a die hard Pacer Fan and I'll give you the W and the respect for the clutch shot. But, you all know the foul was on the ground. The whistle came late, and the crowd and team went nuts, so at that point you aren't going to come in and say no basket. They didn't even go on to win a championship, so at least man up and admit the refs blew that call. Oh wait, wasn't one of the refs that Donaghy guy?

LJ, Houston, Camby & my favorite Knick of all time SPREWELL. I still have his champion jersey and it fits lol. God those were the teams. 90's Knicks were all heart and D. Alot of the 90's nba teams were cool. Suns and Barkley and KJ, Sonics Rainman and The Glove. Hornets LJ,ZO, Muggsy. Cool teams. Today's NBA is about the 3 with no defense. Today's players wouldnt last a second playing against 90 NBA team like The Pacers with the Davis brothers or Knicks with Oakley & Mase & Xman. Come on you guys are wimps. I'm talking to you lebron lebaby. Jordan got his ass kicked by the bad boys for years when he was younger until he beat them. Jordan took a beating got his revenge. Lebron would complain like Luka another baby.

I think Matthew Modine means to say the 2nd most improbable play behind Reggie Miller's 8 points in 7 seconds. That one easily trumps the gift that official gave Larry Johnson. If you don't agree just read Bill Simmons column at espn.com, "Footnote NBA Titles".
The only contact on that play came clearly before Larry Johnson shot the ball and even then its questionable at best.
