I just bought the same device from eBay. I tried with a Smarty SIM which gives me 30gb for £10 and this only gave me disappointing speeds of 1.5mb and nothing like the 20mb+ you're getting. Did you use a data only SIM? Will that make a difference to your speed? I was trying the cheapest one I could find which was unlimited phone and 39gb data for £10.
Try with your phone sim to see if there is any difference between the devices

Yes you can. If it runs out of battery then you charge it and try to turn the wifi on it will take a few tries before it can be switched on
Salve. Una info, (premessa: quando vado in montagna i dati mobili/rete non va) se io inserisco la mia sim con i rispettivi GB di internet illimitati e non, posso navigare? o vale sempre la regola che non c'è rete anche per il router Wi-Fi con la sim all'interno?.

Just bought one but don’t really understand it haha, do you need to have data on your phone for it to work or does this produce its own WiFi? I’m seeing lots of different things about it and I’m not sure if it’s what I actually needed
You need to use a SIM card with data on it, insert in in the dongle and then it will create a Wifi access point.
