    Bombardier engineered everything you ever wanted into this airplane: big seats, big windows, big bins, quiet ride, absolutely lots of takeoff power and climb capability, greater chance of cheaper fares, the list goes on and on. This video is among the best! How many "This is my Favorite Plane" comments are there going to be?

    What a beautiful video to capture the best Northeast sky scenery ever! 55:00- Best view of NYC, you can even make out the Statue of Liberty, if you know where to look. We are such lucky generation(s) to be able to see our planet from such heights, compared to all the thousands of generations before us who were “terra-bound”. My (few) generation span is the luckiest to see space travel, where the astronauts (Apollo) observed Earth in the epitome of reality, as the marbled blue sphere in our solar system.

      Thanks my friend! As for your question, I’m not sure I have a big enough sample to accurately answer that yet. I’ve flown on Delta a lot. This was my first flight on JetBlue. This flight was great, but I’m not sure this one flight on JetBlue which was a special flight, is enough for me to accurately rate the two against each other.

    What even was the point of pulling the aircraft forward when they could have stopped and started both engines?

    • @sla31
      @sla31  3 роки тому

      Ramp controllers specifically tell the push crew where they want a plane dropped. In this instance they probably had them pull the aircraft farther forward to allow room for another aircraft to start pushing behind us.

    For sanity's sake, there's no way I could sit for 3hrs at my desktop watching this flight end to end--I was a good boy,watched up until we cleared the Boston area,then FF'd to final descent into TPA--I would think the shortest route would be to hug the east coast shoreline,then cross over somewhere near Orlando,towards the Gulf Coast--looks like you landed to the north,judging from the setting sun--that taxi in was very arduous--the runway taxi at BOS went at a faster clip! No telling what the fuel burn was at TPA--jet engines typically are not fuel efficient on the ground,gulping fuel idling as they do--did you overnight at TPA? Did your a/c fly back to BOS later that night? During taxi at BOS,heard lots of 'thump thump thump' as the FA's walked by--some man had a garbled voice talking to somebody(try holding your hand over your mouth and do a 'Peanuts' school teacher imitation) and lots of galley clicking as cabinets are checked over--how do you maintain any semblance of social interaction when you have your camera against the window,keeping it stable for 3+hrs?

When I watch aviation vids like these of places I haven't been to, I pick out landmarks and find them on Google maps, then I follow the flight path that way. I've never been to Boston, but now I know that the long warehouse looking building at 31:41 is the Boston Design Center, or at 2:44:30, thats the Howard Franklin Bridge on I-275 going into Tampa. #WaaaaayTooMuchTimeOnMyHands #ExploreTheWorldViaGoogleMaps.

    I'm so happy for you that you flied from my hometown Boston,Ma on a Inaugural flight on the new Jetblue A220-300 to Tampa,Fl. I'm still hoping to fly with Jetblue for the first time to Orlando & connecting stops on the new A220-300. I flied & made a video of me flying on the new Delta A220-100 from Boston,Ma to La-Guardia airport. If you want, you can check it out. By the way, your video is very impressive. Thanks!

    Author I have a request for you. Please write in full the places of takeoffs and landings. You write abbreviated, I don't understand anything. Where did you fly from and where. The videos are very beautiful.

    • @sla31
      @sla31  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks my friend. I appreciate you watching! The reason the airports/cities are abbreviated in the title is because UA-cam only allows 100 characters in a video title. If I spelled out Boston-Logan International Airport to Tampa International Airport, there wouldn’t be any room left for the airline, aircraft l, flight number, etc. That’s why I use the FAA and IATA codes for the airports. I then list the full city information in every video’s description. So, if you’re unfamiliar with the airport codes, simply look in the description to see the full info. Thanks again my friend.

      @@ДмитрийСемерок-д9и no worries my friend. Just thought I’d let you know why I don’t do that. I do try to give as much information as possible in the title, but I’m limited with the 100 character limit. Thanks again for watching!

    I've been wondering why fast rotating objects such as this jet engine, a turboprop, the wheels of a car, and a fidget spinner appear to switch directions. I just looked it up and it's called the wagon-wheel effect. Apparently the object rotates so fast you're brain can't process how fast it rotates so it assumes it switches directions. Did I get it right?

    • @sla31
      @sla31  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, that's correct. Cameras work very much like your own eye, they effectively take a bunch of still pictures and stitch them together to form a video. The blades are spinning so fast that the camera can't catch them perfectly because it's only taking 60 frames per second. So, it gives the illusion that the blades are spinning at different speeds, and even backwards. Thanks for watching my friend!

    Skylite what your favorite aircraft

    • @sla31
      @sla31  3 роки тому +1

      Well, that’s a loaded question. Because I have multiple favorites haha. Generally, regional aircraft I prefer Embraer aircraft over Bombardier, Canadair, Mitsubishi, whatever it is now haha 😆. The ERJ-175 is my favorite. The A220 is also really good, but most airlines are using the A220 in a mainline sense. In that category my favorite is still the 757. The A321 is not far behind. Widebody wise, I love the A340. In particular the A340-600. But, those are very hard to find anywhere now. I still love the A330 as well, because of it’s typical seating configuration. Honestly, there’s a lot of answers to this question haha.

    What a spectacular video!! That’s incredible how you were able to get clear footage of practically the whole flight. Just curious, how much of the flight was cut off from around 40:29-40:31. I noticed there was a fade in/fade out. I’m just curious as to get an idea of the geography of the flight route. I’m almost positive that was Providence, Rhode Island. And after the fade out it looks like you were directly over Willimamtic, Connecticut. Thanks for the footage!

    • @sla31
      @sla31  3 місяці тому

      I don't know for sure off the top of my head. I generally don't cut much of anything out of my flights. I film by hand, so I take short breaks every once hour or so to not give myself blood clots haha. This was a special flight, so there's a lot of extra fluff, especially at the beginning. I don't think it'd be more than 10-15 minutes though.

    What’s with that a321 that your aircraft parked next to not retracted the flaps

    • @sla31
      @sla31  3 роки тому

      In my experience, that typically means there is some type of maintenance issue that is being looked at, that requires the flaps to be lowered.

    • @fareastjets9686

      Hot weather conditions ( > 30C ) may cause overheating to be detected around the bleed ducts in the wings causing warning messages in the cockpit. By leaving the flaps/slats extended just a tad after landing, these warnings are a lot less likely to happen.
