Join me on JetBlue Airways flight 2363, JetBlue's inaugural service to Kansas City, Missouri (MCI) from Boston, Massachusetts (BOS). After many years of public requests for JetBlue to serve Kansas City, the Kansas City Aviation Department, JetBlue Network Planning, and the Management at Kansas City International Airport were finally able to secure a deal for JetBlue to serve the city with daily fights to/from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). Although JetBlue has competition on the Boston route, they are they only airline to serve Kansas City from New York's renowned international gateway. Kansas City becomes JetBlue's 109th destination! Included in this video is a detailed look at JetBlue's product, the entire flight from BOS-MCI, and all of the pre-flight festivities at Boston. Although, I do apologize for not getting any of the speeches before the flight, Boston was blaring copyright music over the speakers, and UA-cam’s automated system was picking up on it even through the speeches. So I had to remove it completely. For those of you who don't know, Kansas City is one of my home airports, and I have been one of those people asking for JetBlue service. People ask me why I don't fly JetBlue more often, and it's not because I don't love JetBlue! The simple answer was because they didn't fly to any of the airports in the area, including MCI. Well, they do now, and I was thrilled to help welcome them to one of my home airports! I look forward to being able to feature JetBlue on the channel far more often now! I hope this is the "Dawning of a Blue Era" for JetBlue and MCI. By the way, "Dawning of a Blue Era" is the name of the aircraft JetBlue chose to use for the inaugural day festivities. Enjoy the festivities and the flight!
Absolutely beautifully filming capturing well done Sir I really appreciate your super Awesome vloggs beautiful take off lovely jetblue sounds and the gorgeous scenery up in the air blue skies breathe taking scenery views and I'm looking forward for more uploading video millions and millions thanks for sharing I do really appreciate it and I enjoy it Merci my friend
I gotta say...I'm really liking that A220. Looks particularly good in JetBlue colours, IMO. You had that young bird pretty much all to yourself. Always a nice bonus, IMO. Loved that beautiful sunrise tour of Boston, too.
Totally agree, on all fronts. I love the A220, I think it looks great in JetBlue colors, and it was nice to have the whole row, and most of the plane haha. I don't expect that to continue on that route though. I image it'll be much more used after a few weeks of service and people are needing to get back to Kansas City. Thanks for watching my friend!
Loved rhe departure out of Boston and the approach into MCI was kind of unusual, but nice. Two large RR yards (UP Armourdale yard and BNSF Argentine yard). Something you usually don't see on the approaches filmed coming into MCI. Great video
You know, it's funny. Typically I fly into MCI from DEN, DFW, IAH, or somewhere directly from the west. So, It is very rare for me to get this approach because I'm almost always on the left side the plane into MCI, coming from the other direction. This approach was not only beautiful, but gave a great overview of Kansas City once we'd turned towards final. Thanks for watching my friend!
At 27.16 min what a spectacular view over the city of Boston and vicinity. The 🍊 colour of the sky hmm i really love to be on an aircraft on the way to somewhere.
In September 1994 I drove from Boston to KC. 23 hours of continuous drive. We stayed for 8 days visiting old friends that had moved out there and what I remember most was the way people drove! SO courteous compared to Eastern MA., the difference was stark. Good time but Lord the drive back felt like an eternity!
I enjoyed the flight video. I'm wishing for Jetblue to start nonstop service between Kansas City-Ft. Lauderdale one day. I'm also wishing for Jetblue to start service to Omaha Nebraska with nonstop service to New York JFK and Boston.
It is awesome to see good airline service on the BOS-MCI nonstop route again. The last time, in my opinion, was Midwest Express before it became “Midwest”. I proudly worked for MidEx and yes, there was a difference with the “Express” added.
An airline I wish was still around... I flew Midwest several times, years ago, before I started this channel, and I often times find myself wishing they were still around. As always, thanks for watching my friend!
I'd say so. If I 'm counting my childhood when I wasn't in control of everything, then I've got 30 years too. If we're not counting that time, then not so much. Thanks for watching! I appreciate it!
Really enjoyed this one B, well done! Great shots of Logan and downtown on departure, great shame though that it went cloudy after turning west, as you may have had a fantastic view of the Lakes? Did you spot the freight rain travelling slowly through the sidings on final to MCI, it must have been over a mile long!! Kind regards P
Thanks my friend! I'm glad you enjoyed this one. It was a beautiful flight despite the could cover. You can't win them all haha. I did actually notice that train. I think it's fascinating watching trains from above, so anytime we land to the North and I know we're going to pass over the big BNSF yard, I'm always looking to see what I can spot. Thanks for watching my friend!
Amazing video with that sunrise in Boston. Lots of people getting to work very early as we can see. How do you hold the camera, or do you have something to steady it? Thanks and always love the channel!
Well, that's a somewhat long answer, so I'll try to be brief haha. I started this channel in 2015. So, I've been doing this for 7 years. Until just recently, I held the camera by hand, for everything. That included the long flights you see on the channel. I did this because I film with iPhones. I have since the very beginning. iPhones are amazing. They have some of the best camera technology out there, but they have a major drawback. They aren't really designed to be "action" cameras like GoPros. So... When you attach the iPhone directly to the window with a suction cup mount, a TON of vibrations get transferred directly into the phone. Since iPhones aren't really designed to withstand that, the footage comes out looking jittery. It looks like you're watching the video though a clear bowl of jello. This has been a problem for years. I started with an iPhone 4, and basically used every new model up to the 13 Pro I'm using now. So I always held the phone by hand, because doing so separated it from the aircraft, which eliminated the vibrations problem. That said, the 13 Pro is so good, and more specifically the built in stabilization is so good, that this problem has basically been emitted. Recently, and I mean very recently, within the last few weeks, I've been using a RAM mounts X-Grip mount: www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-166-UN10U during select portions of the flight. Mainly during the cruise portion of flight. During takeoff and landing, I'm still holding the phone by hand, but the 13 Pro's stabilization is so good, that when cursing, it can compensate for the jitter now. But again, that's just very recently that I've started using that. Historically, I've held the phone by hand. Hope that helps!
Amazing video as always skylite! Jetblue is americas best airline in my opinion its a shame that they haven't got any big international destinations apart from London, it'd be nice to see them in Asia too. Hope you're well😁

Love the cabin!!! Beautiful takeoff!!! I really enjoyed the game of lights on lights off crossing the runways at BOS. Man what a really nice ride! Can't wait to experience it myself. So whats your opinion on Jetblues last second bid for Spirit? I think it be a brilliant move personally.
That’s a great question. Honestly I think I have more questions than answers at the moment. Ultimately, I think JetBlue saw the potential major downside to them if Frontier and Spirit did merge…. That would create a major airline. An airline whose product could potentially be not that different form Their own product. Yes, right now, JetBlue and Frontier/Sprit aren’t offering the same services. But, they’re also not that different. I think they made a smart move to try to stop it, but I don’t how it’s going to play out. We shall see! In the end, if JetBlue were to acquire spirit and the JetBlue product and service lived on, that’d be a win in my books haha.
@@sla31 Well said. Thats why I like the idea. Jetblue said "We will give you this payment in cash right now with the understanding that you become part of us with our headquarters remaining in New York" To me that reads as the Spirit as we know it would be gone and Jetblue would finally grow their product to be a legitimate threat to LUV. Total win for us!!!!
I like Boston and the airport. I've haven't flown in and out of there a ton, but I've never really had any issues. That's a far cry from other airports like LGA, CLT, and ORD where it can be a nightmare to fly though.
Yes, there were only a handful of passengers, but…. Keep in mind that this was JetBlue’s first flight ever to Kansas City. It’s not like they already flew to Kansas City and this was just a new destination. So they didn’t really have a base set of passengers already. They need to get people out of Kansas City before they can come back. The flights leaving Kansas City for New York and Boston were both basically full. Give the return flights a couple weeks and they’ll be full too. Thanks for watching my friend!
I did hear that. Frankly I think it’s a better option than a spirit/frontier merger haha. If we could get rid of spirit for a bigger JetBlue, I’m all in.
You got lucky they did something special, when I did the BOS-MIA inaugural they only set up balloons, nothing special, all the fun was in the EWR-MIA flight 😅
Well in my case, they were starting service to a brand new city that was very very happy to have them. Not that Miami wasn't glad to have them, but it was a bigger deal for Kansas City to get these direct flights on a new airline for the city than it was for Miami. I think Kansas City paid for a lot of the celebratory fun.
I did actually try it once. The problem is, that a lot of videos are long, and people don’t have the time to watch the whole thing. When you premier a video people have to watch it in real time. So they can’t skip to the path they want to watch.
I strongly dislike when non safety related information is tacked onto the safety demonstration. You just said leave everything behind but here is how you can connect to the internet so you can be the first to post an event to UA-cam.
On one hand, I can see where you're coming form. But, I also think most people are capable of differentiating the safety briefing from other information about the aircraft/wifi. Plus, the people who don't pay attention and try to take their bags, or film during an evacuation are going to do that regardless of when the flight attendants mention the wifi. I guess my point is, those types of people are going to do it regardless. I don't think they're using that info being given after the safety briefing as "permission" to do it. If you get what I'm saying.
Well, there's a lot of reasons why people may find this video special. First, it was a an inaugural flight, so it was the first flight JetBlue ever flew to Kansas City. Second, the flight was absolutely stunning from start to finish, so people may find it special just because of that. And because it was the first flight to Kansas City there were only like 6 people on the flight. So it's a very therapeutic and calming flight to watch as there aren't any screaming kids, or obnoxiously loud passengers to listen to.
@@med7870 well, I do my best to reply to as many comments as possible and as quickly as possible. I got you covered with my last response then haha. This was JetBlue's first flight to Kansas City. Thanks for watching my friend!

Thanks for watching my friend!
Whats so special about this video i dont know if im stupid or what
Well, there's a lot of reasons why people may find this video special.
Thanks for responding so fast no creator resonds as fast as you and I was just wondering about the destination
