Being originally born in Nottingham, I can't imagine that anything like that ever came out of the city! haha Lots of research into these videos, really appreciate the time and effort! La Barca, number 3, often comes to my local Festa Major each year Going today myself to Catalonia's biggest ThemePark, so perfect time for an upload!
The rollover was built by Nottingham, U.K. who were purchased and renamed to Eagle Flyers. So your research is correct. Also the ride isn’t defunct, the ride still operates just with a standard Miami bench seat.
I cannot stand riding these sorts of rides. But I am endlessly fascinated with them! Thanks to you, I get to experience them from the comfort of my couch, instead of crying, puking, and passing out on any of them.
In a way, i wish there was a theme park that was dedicated to continuously add onto the park as they continue to add new and unique rides to its park. There are so many incredible rides out there, but you have to travel all over the world to find them. It would be incredible if each country had a park with all the unique rides in one place.
someone should do this as a sort of interactive amusement park museum where you can ride all the rides. and like you said, constant expansions. would be an absolutely HUGE park. would likely have roads to take golf karts on to make getting around the park easier. I bet they'd also put in all sorts of food options as well as a hotel in the park.
I had this exact same thought. If multiple people are coming to the same thought independently then there is definitely a market for it. Some investor watching this, TAKE NOTES!
Wiener Prater is probably the closest thing to a park with lots of unique attractions. They don't have it all, but they do have the most unique line up of flat rides out of any park I've ever seen.
I do have to commend TPC, as an epileptic I appreciate the disclaimers. (These videos for me are fine, generalised epilepsy is what I've got, stress and tiredness triggers it more so than strobes. 4 years seizure free.)
I feel like a kid again watching your videos. I was obsessed with theme park rides and collected many books on the subject. Some of these rides are pure art and so exciting and beautiful at once.
im a ride operator at six flags st louis getting trained for the evolution (xcaliber, as we call it). its only running half its cars. its just so old and being the only one still standing gives us a hard time keeping it in tune, but by the sheer fear of guest reaction if we remove it, shes still going! on average, we have two downtimes DAILY for guest illness. being right next to our turkey leg stand and our spinning coaster, Pandemonium, really doesn't help. does matter though. every ride operator will still recommend it! i know i do!
I liked Six Flags saint louis, but compared to the other amusement park rides, Six Flags Saint Louis seems like Sesame Street and the others are Elm Street as in Nightmare on Elm Street
You really gotta admire the art skills of the guys that decorate these rides with nothing but spray paint. The level of precision needed for character painting like that.
Actually, the "Super Barca Vikinga" exists in Italy, too. On the 23rd of April of every year, here in Ferrara, a small town near Bologna, there's a a carinival fair to celebrate the town's patron, and in this fair the swinging ship with cages is one of people's favourite ride! I used to get a ride on the ship like three times in an afternoon
Exactly! I’d like to see some Danganronpa rides and attractions like a roller coaster/dark ride hybrid attraction through the high school and some insane spinning flat rides! Maybe an anime themed theme park could include a Danganronpa section called Danganronpa Monokumaland which is a carnival style amusement park designed, owned, and operated by the nasty Monokuma who plans to use the guests as dummies for his intense ride creations!
I’ve been on the stand up pirate ship so many times! It’s one of the most popular ride at funfair in Italy. I’ve also been on the stand up star flyer in Milan. Before it was a normal star flyer then they added cages.
The one in the video was called Stargate. Stargate was a movie and tv show that involved a lot of Egyptian mythology. Basically the Egyptian gods were actually aliens that came to Earth via Stargates and in the movie the humans rediscovered the Stargate and how to use it. That’s the gist from my shaky memory. But the desert is because of the Egypt connection.
ive been on the stand up viking ship!! its so so fun, but definitely not for first time riders. the little kids in my “cage” kept falling and almost knocking over other riders. but id definitely recommend it for flat ride enthusiasts!! (i believe i rode it at a fair in Mexico but i cant be certain)
I remember The Swinger being at the Houston Rodeo one year, never got a chance to ride it because it kept breaking down. I remember the design looking absolutely amazing!

The worst experience I ever had on a ride was “The Zipper”. I was in middle school the one and ONLY time I went on it and I just remember screaming the whole time and hoping it stopped! I should’ve held on to the cage bars but I was clinging to the lap bar and felt like I was just tumbling over and over again in a giant wave. Give me a giant rollercoaster over that any day!
I went on the Zipper once and to balance up the ride one of the ride operators sat beside me in the cage. HE was not into thrill rides and screamed in terror while I laughed all the way around.

I rode Excaliber for the first time last week, and I loved it! I was worried that I wouldn't like it, because I don't really like Spinsanity at Six Flags Over Texas, but I think the speed helps on Excaliber.
On the # 4 ride ...the UFO...there used to be one on Sportland Pier in Wildwood NJ...from 1972 to 1980. I rode it once. So much for my dinner staying down !!!!
I've been on The Tornado. Well a knockoff verison called "Avatar". It was really fun! I loved how it just goes in random directions and everytime you ride it you get a new and different experience!
TPC never disappoints!! What a great video! But something I've always wondered, why are all crazy carnival/festival rides spinning aka nausea inducing??
Probably because they can only take up a small amount of space to operate in, so there isn't much else they can do. Anything bigger would need a lot more room and would be very expensive to transport and set up.

My kids made fun of me cuz I couldn't ride the spinning rides without getting nauseous. Then my son hit age 11 and it got him too🤢🤮 They had to literally hose off the ride and him😂😂
Living in France, I've had the chance to do the Contact and the Challenger at the same fair. The Challenger is fun. The Contact is more intense because of the strengths that keep pushing and pulling you, plus it spins really fast, which can make you dizzy.

Painter: *laughs in fanart*
