In America we pronounce it, Lost Wages.
😂
I lived in Vegas for 2 years . And let's just say I had the time of my LIFE ❤ . Great city
Keep building the brand and posting content. You guys have the right combo.
Thank you 😊🤜🤛
Y'all crack me up
I am pretty sure WSM was at Vegas in 1997 when Jouko Ahola won his first.
Yes you are correct, my mad 😊
WOW
Vegas is a great place for exposure. People are more likely to grab a ticket to a show on a whim. I hope it works out great.
Lalas Vegas let's goo (from Belgium BTW)
The nexus for a lot of strength, physique, and combat sports are often hosted in Vegas, it's a big market for that stuff. Not to mention all the infrastructure and specialty gyms that ex-champions establish in that city. So, it makes logical sense to hold it in that city.
The U.S is where the sport began. Awesome to see it getting a show in Vegas. Should be epic.
I think the sport began even before the US was a country mate😂

Two things
You guys have a great show.
Start a sumo league
I think this is perfect, honestly. I always wanted to go to a Giants Live show, but due to the location, it's very tough for me to go to, it happens in Las Vegas, of all places in the U.S. This is a smart thing to do, and especially all the traction to come from it.
Hopefully there will be a lot of traction 🤞
I thought there was a WSM competition in Vegas back when Mark Philippi was still competing. But I don't recall the year. I could also be wrong.👍
You're right. 1997 was the year
I wonder if it's an arena show like the GL shows in the UK- or if it's going to be outdoors and smaller ,a bit like the Giants Live North America shows that ran till a few years back.
Hopefully it will be indoors like in UK 🤞
Videos are good but I always have to turn up the volume, not a massive issue but something to look at perhaps.
Thanks for the info bros 🎉
Thank you for the comment and for watching 😁
Giants Live a face paced show. Maybe not the best comp for hard core strongman fans. OSG fills that place. However, Las Vegas is a show town so Giants Live is a good fit. They can put on a great 4 hr show, maybe a small venue say 5,000 seater.
In order for strongman to be bigger, it needs to be big in America.
I mean, the turn out at this year's wsm was pretty phenomenal. Most probably interested onlookers because of its location. Vegas would be very similar.
🙌
That will be an epic show, great weekend holiday
Hopefully 🤞😁
Wsm was in Vegas in 97
La-Las Vegas 😂
💪🏻♥️♥️♥️☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻🌡️🌡️🌡️💰💰💰💰
ASM is almost always in Vegas and so is the Strongman Corp Masters Nations. It's usually part of the Olympia expo. I was there in 2022 and took 3rd 40+ 105s behind former pro Johny Waziko 2nd and Chris Schwandt 1st (8th osg 40+ 2023) I will be there if it's in Vegas again in 2024. Worlds for Arm lifting, MAS wrestling and all sorts of strength sports were at the Olympia expo. Vegas is so much fun but take your walking shoes! Walking killed me more than competing!
hmm I might be able to make that
Nice editing and studio
congratulations
Thank you so much 🤜🤛
well u know what they say but Vegas 🎉
😁💪
Vegas is great due to the ease of travel, if in the US.
Hopefully competition will be secsesfull in every way 🤞
I've been to Vegas, but it was in January. Nothing crazy happening tbh, but depends on what you're looking for. I'm sure there's wild stuff, but I didn't see anything. The weather is great in the winter, so coming down from the North (New England) it was fun! I went to Death Valley, Grand Canyon and Lee Canyon. Call it boring but I enjoyed going to those places while in town. Anyways, it's great to have a show in the states again finally. Marcus Crowder (just winning OSG) said he was VERY interested in going to the Vegas show. So hopefully he gets an invite there. Also, definitely Flex Lewis had a hand in this with the Dragon Lair there. Can't wait for that to happen.
good food and accomodations at least
Hopefully some day i will get to visit Vegas to try it both 😁
Vegas has been growing over the last 2yrs. The F1, they now have 3 professional sports teams. They are trying to get another. They have been trying to get the NFL Superbowl.
HSBC 7s World Rugby used to be there, but moved to Los Angles. But talk about bringing it back to Vegas.
Being on the strip is where Vegas is at. Outside of the Strip, its just another city. Bunch of homeless people camped out everywhere.
So stay to the strip, and plan your events in advance. You want to go see the entertainment shows, get tickets in advance and plan the times out properly. If you don't, you will be disappointed in your seats if you can get tickets. The casino buffets can be phenomenal and well worth the price if you can put away 2 plus plates of food.
Let's go Giants live at the MGM Grand!!
I like the idea of Vegas, but as a fan on the east coast I’d rather fly to the UK and see a show. I don’t think it would cost that much more. Also wonder if they will have the show on US TV?
need to see your logo on the sphere.
Ok 😁
This is cool, it's exciting that they're coming to USA. Las Vegas is probably super fun for some. But it is awful in my opinion. My reasons are: I'm not a gambler, I don't care for strip clubs, and I don't care for alcohol. In my experience it was super hot there and smelled like cigarettes inside everywhere and it smelled like sewers and weed everywhere outside. I definitely won't be going, but hopefully they'll choose somewhere closer to me in the midwest sometime soon.
Now that you said it, it doesn't sound like that great of a place. Hopefully some day i will visit the city and see everything myself 😊
Wasn't they Worlds Strongest Man in Reno, Nevada in the 1990's?
Yes you are correct, my bad 😊
Mitch Hooper played college football
The events were just announced for the Arnold Strongman Classic. Stone Medley (?), timber carry, dinnie stones, apollon's axle, and deadlift. I would think Mateusz would win both the timber carry and the Dinnie Stones, get 3-4 at worst on the Axle, don't know enough about the medley, and the DL, who knows. Mateusz is working with a DL expert though so maybe it'll help him a bit. Predictions?
Mateauz historically hasn't had a great grip. Mitch will beat everyone on that
@@petershortland478 well the frame carry is definitely a grip event and he routinely wins that. Arm over arm is another event that requires great grip strength and he wins at that. He didn’t do well on the deadlift hold in 2019 WSM final but all those cover the most recent instances of grip events.
stone medley might be similar as in 2020, where mateusz beat hafthor for a few seconds
@@allylilith5605 yeah could be similar to the ‘trial by stone’ like you mentioned. Hopefully it’s not just atlas stones or similar to what they’ve done at Rogue.
@@petershortland478 WTH? Mitch hasn't even completed it in one go whereas Martins, Maxime and Mateuz all have - and quite comfortably.
I think strong people we grow / get new fans in VEGAS
Hopefully 🤞
Anything to build the sport. I think they should involve Brian in the event more. Hes a draw anywhere. You guys do good content. Funny, knowledge based. Keep after it.
I think it's great .giants coming to America. Strongman is getting bigger here but most people in America have no idea who Brian shaw is. It what strongman is. Stone lifting is rare. But it's the place to make money and get bigger
Brian Shaw is known in America. It’s amazing he is getting attention considering the sports he’s competing against
@@AlejandroSanchez-pl6jw yeah they know him mainly from the history channel show, those people arent necessarily overall fans of the sport or follow it closely
Dude I've had the cops called on me twice for lifting Stones when training. America is woke an weak. Yeah the history channel did put Brian out there to be more known
WSM was in Las Vegas in 99 Jouko Alhola won
Did you find out why luke isnt going to the arnolds ?
He mentioned that he wasn't invited
@@TL13579 surprised considering he came 3rd last year.
This step will definitely help strongman / strongwoman grow 👍🏻💪🏻, but will be very expensive 🫰🏻💰, being English is love it to be stayed in the UK 😁😂 but to grow it's important to explore new territories , but not sure about Vegas though 🤔
Will see, hopefully it's not going to be a flop and it will become a yearly event.
Nick best also trains at his gym sometimes
Great 💪
Didn’t World’s Strongest Man take place in Las Vegas in 1997?
Yes it was, my bad.
Money in Vegas. Big crowds and big ticket prices is my guess.
Hopefully🤞
If you turn the audio down anymore, I'll have to fucking learn to lip read!!
Thank you for your feedback.
That's me - I just give, give ,give!!!@@LalasBrothers
I just think its Giants Live returning to the USA after covid. Before covid GL used to run a event in America and this is a return to that event. Vegas has the people, venues, nightlife, hotels and money as one of the biggest tourist places in America. Giants Live Vegas would probably act as a WSM qualifier competition for American strongmen.
Personally I don't watch Giant Live shows as they are PPV and I don't know who Flex Lewis is. Sounds like a Toy Story extra and a rival of Stretch Armstrong.
Does WSM even want people around their event? just dub in some cheers and be done with it.
.
I'm torn. Completely get why GL want to expand and "breaking America" was always the way to go in music and films, but ....
The crowds at OSG are pretty much non existent. Now I know it's not considered on the same level as GL, WSM and Shaw Classic, but in longevity terms, how many fans will turn out? Personally, I'd go Europe for longevity, but I can see the short term pay off of US and the US fans are amazing. Good luck GL, we love you always ❤
Yeah the crowd wasn't great at OSG 😬
cheap plane tickets to VEGAS from all over the USA.
Awsome 🙌
Waiting for the Anti Giants Live comments 😅
Not many so far 😊
They & WSM will have the same issues as the Mr Olympia eventually, some athletes wont be able to get a visiting visa. “Lets grow the sport” yet exclude most of the African/Arab countries & anybody whos got a conviction for anything which includes driving bans in most cases.
Im a fan of GL but its a money spinner nothing else for the owners.
WUS was held in Dubai and UAE and WSM was held in Africa good few times, so it was done before and it didn't get any traction 🤷♂️ Giants Live is a buisness and their goal is to make money while trying to grow the sport. They are doing pretty good job in England, so now it makes sense that they expanding in to U.S.
@@LalasBrothers so we just give up & make the US home to all strength sports? Come offfff it you silly billys. Stick WSM in Trafalgar Square London & watch the whole world take notice, not Myrtle beach where nearly every including fans need connecting flights to get to. Just my opinion lads, love the channel!
The mob is big in VEGAS!
So i heard 😁
