Thor's Frame Carry was alot better than i expected. It was huge for him to get second because axle is not his strongest event tbh. But i feel he has a good shot now. I still think starting order should be based on overall standings. Mitch has a strong opportunity here now going last on the first event where order really matters. If Axle and frame carry was first two events, deadlift 3rd, i think thor would be winning. but not knowing what you need on events to come is alot harder. For dealift and frame carry, starting order barely matters.
Máxime should start earning his invites
Well I mean he got injured, but I do agree he's fell off a bit as of now, and they need to bring on another name.
They should have invited Kordiyaka instead of Maxime
Or Matt Ragg@@Nagy.Patrik
Yeah ill admit I questioned Maxime's invite this year given some other brutally strong names in Pavlo K and Matt Ragg.
He very likely will have to after this year. The reason he got it is that he was supposed to be there last year, then he slipped and broke his ankle before competition last year.
Amazing event to watch. I know he did not win the show, but the Polish terminator stole the show. 400 pound stone putting it on his shoulder like a child lol. I did have Evan as my underdog to win. He’s getting very close to being so complete.
I still like Evan. So fun to watch. Brings a lot of excitement to the show
Well said bros. 💪🙂
2:40 In Thor's video from the competition, his coach Sebastian tells that Bobby's coach Big Loz convinced Bobby not to pull more as there's no way Bobby would pull more than Hafthor.
Day 1 was the best day lol
Other than maxime & martins, results are right where I predicted so far... hopefully no more injuries!
Yes, hopefully no more injuries 🤞
Loved so much to see Haftbar being so strong, all while being so calm and collected.
And then actually surprising a lot in the frame carry.
But gotta give it to Hooper still, he is just too well rounded with Thor coming back from injury.
Mattheus will make a wild points recovery.
And Singleton is so much fun to watch!
2025 will be amazing, Hooper vs Fullthor can't wait!
I think Evan relies on that adrenaline for explosive power
Great take guys. Surprised by Martins. He’s such a gamer, even when training seems off, it seems like he just shows up when the competition starts. Visually, two fantastic events to start off
I watched the event, but i still wanted to hear what you guys have to say. Moose is just amazing. He keeps getting stronger, which seems to be bad for everyone else.
Evan is still transitioning from WWE to Pro SM..when he gets fully over to SM..he will be a force
Martins always has these long setups in all of his training lifts as well. It definitely didn't workout for him there, butngenerally it is quite fascinating tonsee. He focuses so much, and stays so calm.Huge contrast tonpople like Evan
Good video boys
Licis has been training deadlifts with the same breathing pattern in squat position.
Great point about Martins, his first competition back might of been better a smaller show to get used to the grind. He talked about nervousness before the show which isn't usual Martins. Mitch looks unbeatable at the moment.
Waiting for you thoughs on men and women's final. I missed it family stuff! I did get to Luke open chat as Tom made it to 3 place. . It was hard not to watch but I did it. I did see my girl Sam on dime stone. She's all a around AWSOME.
I'm a little behind on the stream , but so far I'm very happy with the comp and judging of day 1 , but I'm gutted for inez, also I'm watching day 2 now Im behind but , I only have a few issues with the judging and that was that Hannah's rep was given but Melissa's wasn't, even though Melissa's rep was a better rep than Hannah's. Also Andreas first stone press she pressed wasn't a good press but got given it.
Thank you so much guys
Thor has a point to prove, if deadlift was at the end of the comp he would of pulled near the world record, he held back as it’s all he needed to do. That frame carry up a ramp is too dangerous for a day 1 event. I think Mitch is just up there in every event and he has it in my opinion, Thor second and 3rd I hope Tom comes through. Martins is just not confident enough in his body and I think he will be better at the UK Arnolds, he is just figuring out what his body can handle.
Love your quick video guys! Hooper, Thor, Mateusz is top 3 for me, I really want Mateusz so slap everyone at the natural stones :)
After the fact,
I'm surprised by Martins deadlift. That large of a jump is to much. Either he should have started with a heavier 1st lift or his 2nd should have been lighter/ closer to his 1st.
I love Evans energy, but he needs to dial it in when he straps into the equipment.
I think that even the 2nd place is open. Hooper will probably win the comp. Thor may stumble on the Axel and go midpack in dinnies and stone medley, possible costing him lots of points if someone from the midpack would finish high in all of those three events and I can see a couple of guys capable of that. Too bad we've got so many injuries in Day 1... it'd spice things up a little more.
1st Hooper
2-3 - Thor, Tom, Singleton, Kieliszkowski, Martins. (in any order with Thor having the edge, cuz... you know it's Thor and he has the points advantage)
He messed up😊😊
You guys realize the comp has finished right? Just because it didn’t end the way you wanted, you should still make a video about it.
I'm not a fan of Evans antics.... I get he is trying to add excitement and drama, but its not WWF!
It sort of is though. Strongman can never be an official sport, its entertainment.
WWE
Strongman
Gladiators
Takashi's Castle
I missed the Wheel of Pain this year. I guess it's nice to have the Dinnies for a change for 1 year.
I don't think Evan will ever win a major show. He's just a bit too psyched all the time.
I dont see how maxime has earned his invite he is great but his deadlift is such a weakness for him
Yes his deadlift is not great in comparison to everything else.
Also, I really hope Thor goes to Shaw classic
Comment.
Did Even Singleton pull out because of a back injury.
You know I've spoken to alot of other fans about Hooper and most everyone respects his ability which they should but many don't care for his demeanor or the way he comes across as arrogant . At least when he won Arnold this year he didn't say it didn't mean that much to him😅
When i met Mitch the first time, he left me a very good impression. He was very polite and humble. I think sometimes he puts up a bit of an act to look arogant 😅
@LalasBrothers well then that explains it. Ha . He could have more fans though if he would not be that way so much. He is very capable of winning many titles. He does not seem to have a weakness
Hup
I have a legit question.
Is Sumo stance allowed in these competitions? Victoria's deadlift is almost a sumo lift. If sumo is not allowed then there should be a rule for the deadlift regarding feet spacing, shoulder width apart or something.
It's not allowed, and there are already rules for that. Your feet cant be outside your hand placement
@@J.c410 Tom should take advantage of that rule with his Stretch Armstrong arms. His balls will be tickling the bar.
Hope Mateusz injury doesn’t affect him for the upcoming shows.
Hopefully not 🤞
In my opinion Tom needs more athletic work. He may be the strongest man on earth but his awareness of his body moving through space is a bit awkward at times.
I agree, Evan wastes a lot of energy and he loses mental focus. His emphasis on showmanship is hurting him. In my opinion.
We are at the point of reruns)))
Yes we are, if you don't want to watch it we understand. We genuinely missed Maxime attempt. It is what it is at this point.
@@LalasBrothers honestly even more props for you guys, as you could have just went on without aknowledging the mistake. Can happen to anyone, keep it up guys!
@@LalasBrothers I wasn't dissing, just making a joke)
Actually I can’t see this so called «staked” line up. As usually there are two top guys competing for the first and second place, and everyone else competing for the third. With these points after two events I can’t see anyone being able to take the second place except Mitch and Thor.
Well, then you should open your eyes in a few hours.
@@likeyou3317maybe you right, but I don’t believe in Evan, and everyone else have too big gap in points between them and second place
@@user-cg5vj5xi4h No gap is too big!
Kind of agree. There needs to be some new guys come into the sport. It’s such a pity Pavlo got injured, but I think he’s too wild , you have to be a corporate machine nowadays.
@@likeyou3317 its one more event left but I still believe I am right
Evan is too worried about his WWE bullshit
Huh?
Not really it's called building the crowd but my issue Arnold's and Rogue they seem like powerlifting comps not massive crowd engagements
Disagree with you boss. Evan is a showman but he works his tail off and is performing well
@@petershortland478 debatable. The crowd is engaging
If Evan calmed down he would be better and people might start to like him because he comes across as an arse hole
He just made minor mistakes on the deadlift and the frame. He could've gone a bit heavier on the deadlift, and his balance on the frame wasn't great, and then picking it up again and again torched his back.
People said the same as Eddie Hall and look what he achieved, some need to pump themselves up and play the crowd.
@@Evolutionaryfreed yep, people called Eddie arrogant and over his head, but look what he did lol.
love Evans energy tbh, I'm a sucker for a nice show :)
@@a-a-rondavis9438 Eddie Halls strongman achievements are 1 WSM win and a 500kg deadlift. Both are not without controversy. Eddie Hall was the most overated person in strongman. Its a Netflix documentary that made Hall relevant.
Evan’s strongest event is talking a big game offstage but he never follows through when it’s time for him to perform, very similar to Robert Oberst.
Except.... for his multiple Giants Live wins, his top 5 at WSM, his 951 pound deadlift on the elephant bar, his 1000lbs deadlift...?
Typical US american - good for the show!
@@Micheldied I didn’t see him win WSM or beat the frame carry record he said he would.
@@janoycresva276you still can't compare him to Oberst
@@wanderer_oti You can, they’re both big talkers who don’t follow through with their nonsense. Oberst also had the American log press record
Hey hooper. You want to be champion,???
Man up and do a pollens one time with out a split.
Yeah Canada
I did the split jerk hehehehehehe
