- This week we decide to hop back into the brand new Golf+ map Pebble Beach for an 18 hole match between myself and Hunter. It's been a great map to play and I was super excited to hop in with someone to play a match. Hunter and I are very similarly matched in skill here so it should be a great match! Just got the quest 3 first VR headset. Only played it for a night but after playing eleven table tennis I said I'm getting golf plus next. Not even my genre but as a dad always at work and hella kids this is awesome. Great video.
If this ever comes to psvr2 I will definitely buy it even though it looks unlikely atm. Love a nice round a golf!

Thank you so much! That means a ton. I do play irl and just started in like Sept. 2021! I’m not very good irl I shoot like 100-105 but I’m just learning as a go watching UA-cam videos so I have a lot of work to do on my swing haha. It’s pretty realistic to my distances but you definitely have to play on pro to get the feeling of miss hits with no aiming assist. It’s a fun realistic game but don’t to the point of a simulator.

I just started playing and wanted to see how you held the club/controller. I need to use two hands. Seems better control. I'm in an Airstream and would destroy the inside with a club, lol
I just use the controller and grip it with both hands. There’s a bit of overlap but it just takes some getting used to I think!

Yessir! I either use a link cable or air play through my pc! My monitor is 1440p that helps it look better on the recording too.
@Neptune TV Thanks for taking the time to reply and good info to know! Playing standalone on the quest 2 doesn't look nearly as good as this.. Sidequest can help with the graphics but then the smoothness of the game is no longer there. Makes me want to build a PC😅 What are the specs on your PC?

What game mode is this ? I’ve been trying to play a standard stroke okay with a friend but it always has us selecting the next hole after we finish one and not keeping score for the hole we finish
Question about the game, does Golf+ account for the swing distance between the club and ball where if you swing to high you can miss the ball completely or if you swing to low, the ball chops the grass?

If you can play it on the Rift S I assume you would but I’m not 100% sure!
Is this game good for people who have never played golf?
I think it’s a lot of fun for anyone they have a lot of different difficulty settings and modes to help you get used to the game and make it enjoyable for anyone to play.

This might sound silly, what's this game like? And how is it in terms of Walkabout Mini Golf? I know it’s probably like comparing a cat to a lion 😂 but I am ok at walkabout and don’t want to get this if it’s ridiculously difficult to the point where it isn’t fun or enjoyable
They have different difficulties that give different assist while you learn! It’s pretty beginner friendly imo.

I'm a little concerned about the shot power realism though.You seem to be taking a very relaxed/slow swing and hitting the ball 300 yards when in reality the ball would travel more than 100 yards.
Is there some sort of 'power/realism setting you can change?
There is a power meter that can effect it a little bit but it doesn’t change the distances to drastically. You have to remember this is a game that’s made to be enjoyed by the masses, no matter what limitations someone may or may not have . It’s not a realism simulator that you can practice and improve your irl game with!
@@NeptuneTTV If i'm playing VR I want realism,particularly if it's a VR sports title.I played the PSVR golf title and that seemed to have more realistic swing power than Golf+.
Ultimatley,I'd love a realistic looking 'EA Sports PGA Tiger Woods' with full career etc,realistic graphics and relaistic gameplay for my VR golfing needs.Theres far too many casual VR games as it is.
Oh and while I'm on a rant,give me Fight Night in VR too :)
I’m sure something like that is in the future but the difference is golf+ is a start up company vs EA being a company worth 35 billion dollars. In game the graphics look great and they’re adding tons of features as well as new partnerships and adjusting the swing mechanics! To each their own though, everyone has their own opinion. As far as VR golf games go I have to say I think it’s one of the best ones out in terms of content!
My iron and driver yardage is about 10 yards out either way so very good. To get greens stimping at around 10 feet speed setting greens speed to medium is bang on. I manage course so hope that legitimised the above.
Also it’s worth noting the games do not simulate thins/fat contact so in theory every contact is scratch standard.
@Tess_Tickle123 Have you played The Thrill of The Fight VR? Helluva boxing game w/some gameplay that'll definitely test the limits of your endurance, even if the graphics are pretty basic.
Can you explain what XP does?
There’s a leveling system in the game. Each time you level up it unlocks new cosmetics and clubs to be able purchased with the in game currency!

Umm I don’t remember 100% we usually do pro difficulty, low wind, middle tees and medium pins!

Not a voice crack but oculus mic gets robotic from time to time and I can’t figure out what causes it haha. It’s generally only when I first start recording but for the life of me I have no idea what causes it 🤣
