So basically i get to choose diabetes or cancer
If you're at-risk for either, then I suppose.
Wills Skills am take my chances with diabetes 😂😂😂😂😂 nothing in the world can make a Latina her White rice 😂😂😂
@@HijaDeCristo18 if you eat it in small amounts you never gonna have diabetes
just switch trough the two rices every time you buy it.
Hah! Be like me, half and half! Get both diabetes and cancer.
Let me guess, it depends...
Almost!
MISTERBONG228 HAHAHHAHAHA I was waiting for this comment
REKT
WRONG!
MISTERBONG228 I think it's good when he says that, he lays the information out for you so you can make your own conclusion
What's wrong with *black* rice?
That's what all my rice ends up looking like cause I can't cook.
#BlackRiceMatters
PowahSlap Entertainmint dont bring racism into this
Black rice are all thugs.
It actually exists!
I thought it said "brown race vs white race"
This kills the PictureFit.
Ricewars?! cO
that would be a pointless video since of obvious winner.
you are not the only one
It depends
Brown rice=white rice+soy sauce ;)
Haha, I used to do that.
now we are talking.... NICE!!!
Same
"I'm a Ricist = only eating white rice. Not out of any preference, but because that's how my ricist parents raised me."
Brown pride putito!
Yudi: plus white rice tastes better.
Youre a ricer and i bet you drive a honda.
That’s WAYCIST!!
Same
White Rice tastes better imo! WHITE RICE MASTER GRAIN, RICE-ISM
asperin We must secure a future and existence for our white grains!
I lol'd
I've been eating brown rice for the last five years. I usually do a lot of research about the stuff I eat on a regular basis, but I did this without much research since "everybody" who's into fitness and healthy eating that eat rice seemed to lean towards brown rice as the better option. Thanks for giving me insight on yet another topic! Much appreciated :) Love from Norway
I love nutritional comparison videos, or simply in-depth breakdowns of various types of foods. Good stuff.
UnknownXV I really like those too!
Some of the most simply informative health/fitness content on UA-cam from this channel right here,
Great job man!
you came for 4:30
Thx mate
bro yesterday I was thinking about this and now you have uploaded this thanks ✌️
Awesome, glad to help.
Great video!
The potato might be my favourite carb source, it's local, it's so tasty and there are so many options.
But I must say there's nothing I like more than freshly cooked, white rice. The pure white colour, the stickyness, the taste and the way it absorbs sauce. Just the pure colour alone makes me adore it.
new fan watched all videos in last few weeks... has helped a lot with weight loss !!! THANK YOU !!!
this channel is so underrated i mean it's so informative i learned so much through this channel.
i absolutely love your videos man keep up the good work.
So if the rice ain't brown
Dont chow down?
But if its White you know its Right?
😂😉 just joshing around haha great work PF
JaxBlade yoooo Jax! Dude I see you fcking everywhere! Even on Kairis stream :D YOU KNOW EVERYONE AND I DONT KNOW IF THATS A GOOD THING :D
Haha, nice. And thanks!
JaxBlade Ha ha ha that was very clever! great job man 👍
Doesn't "ain't brown" means "it's white" ? Since there are only 2 types of rice : brown and white.
hahah yes he failed
I only rinsed the rice to "remove some of the starch" but now I have an even bigger reason to wash it thoroughly (if I decide to start eating rice again)! Thanks for the research.
This channel is brilliant
Nice simple and straight to the point
Love this channel man, always answering good questions.
Make a video about quinoa
Keny Henriquez Agreed. Most people need to know how to pronounce it properly.
Barbara Punkelman I still pronunce it wrong in my head to this day, yet I'm sure it's pronunced Keen-Wah.
bloody good content as usual!
Thanks!
It depends as usual 🤣🤣
Thanks for all the Awesome videos man!! You're definitely helping a lot of people!! God Bless!!
Great video man this was very helpful and fun
Where's the inorganic arsenic coming from?
pesticides?
Just a natural product of the riceplant I presume
Rice is grown in big puddles of water. It pulls in pollutants from the water it’s growing in. It’s a lot like cattails.
@@machielluchtmeijer7796 if is natural why is inorganic???
@@hugohickman7694 As far as I know, it is absorbed by the plant from the atmosphere
Great vid! I feel the glycemic load isn't as big of a deal because no one usually eats it by itself. So if you eat it with a meat source. It'll probably slow down digestion anyways.
Great quality content! And very informative👍👍It's just amazing so keep going, bro❤️❤️❤️
Damn this channel is growing so fast! Congrats man!
I barely eat rice anymore. I eat potatoes since I read some articles saying the macros and micro nutritions in potatoes are better.
Care to make a video of rice comparing to potatoes? You tend to discover more research than I do.
just eat them both...
maybe cover wheat as well, since wheat, rice and potatoes are three main carb sources. Oh and also oats but you they're not as common. I reckon oats would win
PictureFit cover cassava and yam too. they are more common substitute of rice than wheat and oats in my country.
Kurostyle21 I eat both
potatoes got us through ww1 and ww2... as well as the Christian crusade when the German crusaders came... men we get attacked a lot
i walk into these videos with a question, i leave confused about fitness and the meaning of life
Another great video man, keep it up!
U rock bro, awesome information. Much appreciated research.
Damn I came for an 'it depends' 😞
WTF I was just looking this up o_O Get out of my head!
Never.
PictureFit It depends
Very well explained! Huge inspiration for my channel ;)
Super informative! Thank you.
I felt from the beginning that the end will be"it depends".😂
well then... i dont wash my rice before cooking, thanks for scaring the crap out of me
Daniel Chachanashvili we all have to die some time
That is pretty blunt...
ew
wtf you don't wash your rice before cooking?
Daniel Chachanashvili ikr. Im scared too
Best videos as always, thank you!
another great video from this glorious channel
Another awesome video! I'd love to see a video on alkaline water (pH 9.5) and if it lives up to the hype
CabraLad supposedly the pH level being higher hydrates the body better due to having smaller molecules. Also the water is packed with antioxidiants as opposed to more acidic water, which oxidises the body. Furthermore, disease thrives in an acidic environment. It kills cancer cells becsuse cancer can't survive in an alkaline environent. Check out www.kangendemo.com. it's really interesting. Let me know what you think
Ari Levin
of course , but i don't think alkaline water is found here in my country.
Can you make a video about the "best" form of cardio in terms of calories burned per minute? For example would swimming burn more calories per minute vs. other types of exercise (jogging, jump rope, burpees, etc.) because of having to thermoregulate in sub-body temperature water?
Thank you so much for making these videos! They've really helped every aspect of my fitness again thank you so much!
He did look up his HIIT video
ElementMaster22 Right, but he really only went into detail with running, and that the EPOC was rather insignificant being only 60ish calories.
What I'm trying to ask is maybe something like calories burned/ minute per type of exercise. For example would swimming for one minute burn significantly more calories than jogging for one minute due to thermoregulation from cold water? I'll edit the question thank you for your input!
the difference is negligible at best man, just do stuff you like the most,so you'll be more likely to keep doing it. no matter what you do,if you do it consistently it will start to benifit you. stressing numbers too much will halt your progress.
Ben Hi! It all depends on how fast you swim/run/cycle etc but these 3 burn pretty much the same. The themorgenic part of swimming in water won't matter much unless you're swimming in very cold water like a lake in winter, in which case it will have even more benefits than just burning more calories.
If you are able to do it well enough, jumping rope is the type of cardio that burns the most calories/hour.
You can find the comparisons, and more, in that article www.bodybuilding.com/content/which-cardio-methods-melt-fat-the-fastest.html
Very very good !! Ty =)
Tout a étais dit, très bon travail et merci.
Thanks for sharing the articles/sources, man. Subscribed :D
You got it.
White rice all the way! Yeah brown rice is healthier but let's be honest here, white rice tastes better. Just imagine a chinese fried rice with brown rice on it.
Hah, some of my favorite Chinese restaurants started making the change to brown rice to be more "health conscious."
But as the video shows, brown rice isn't even necessarily healthier. The only real advantage it has is the lower glycemic load, but in reality if your diet is decent otherwise, that won't matter. And given that white rice tastes a thousand times better than brown rice, it's not even close for me.
#Teamwhite
I tried fried brown rice from the Chinese restaurant. Waste of money 😖
I'd rather focus on health than taste.
I like parboiled rice. It's pretty much brown rice, but tastes way better. No matter how I cook brown rice, it always turns out like shit. And I use a pressure cooker.
Brown rice takes much longer to digest, hence you will feel fuller for longer and won't eat as much. Perfect for weight loss. Just be sure that you rinse rice at least 2 times before cooking.
Your videos are very interesting mate keep going :)
You need more subs. This channel is amazing!
Thanks!
You should compare all major carb sources. Brown rice has many benefits when compared to white rice, but when compared to bulgar wheat, barley rice or sweet potatoes you'll find some interesting benefits that aren't negligible. Much more fiber, more complex carbs(lower gleucelic load), more protein and more vitamins and minerals.
This video failed to mention a very important Deal Breaker that White Rice makes you often hungry and crave for more because it digests fast! I know it because I just switched to Brown Rice and it has been a year now.
You're Awesome dude!.....Thanks for the info.
this man has answered all my questions 👌🏽💯🙄
Brown taste better but it takes 3 to 4 times longer to cook. which kinda sucks.
Jose Ramirez
And a bit more pricey compared to white rice, which seems stupid since white rice technically needs more process to be refined compared to brown rice.
Soak it overnight
In terms of Arsenic, it greatly depends on the source of the rice...
Sad to say but American Rice is the worse since the rice is grown on fields that were previously grown for cotton. These fields are full of Arsenic based Pesticides which means that the Rice absorbs it and increases Arsenic levels.
Compare that to Rice grown in many parts of Asia where rice has been grown in those fields for hundreds of years. Arsenic levels are are lower since the traditional method of growing rice (by flooding the paddies) is enough to deter many pests and so pesticides aren’t required as much.
I love your videos keep it up! :)
Nice video! I always love getting a video notification from my favorite youtuber! @PictureFit
Awesome, thanks!
What about red rice? It has 11 grams of fiber per 100 grams of red rice, more than 3 times as much as brown rice.
Brown rice also lowers the activity 5-alpha reductase, thus lowering DHT. Save your facial hair; eat white rice.
(Also kind of joking - do what you want. I still eat brown rice every now and then).
Beard Profile less DHT=less hair loss, not the other way around....
Did anybody else notice that this is PF's 100th video.
Well done buddy! Keep growing.
Thanks for the video - maybe you could also do a comparison between normal and sweet potatoes.
Can you do video about how much water you need in day and what hormones water drinking activates etc.
how much water do you need?
on average, 1.5 - 2 liters
but what about bodybuilders? is 5 liters enought or too much?
How does consuming a food give you lung cancer?
Associative reasons. Can be a duplicative issue from arsenic.
Never Give Up Fitness the fragrances in items like soap are highly dangerous and cause cancer. so I stopped washing myself to stay healthy :)
True anything you consume will enter the blood stream reaching the lungs but thats what the liver and kidneys are for. The lungs cant possibly develop cancer from consuming food.
Get over that Wall

this vid couldn't have come at a better time. My Mrs just asked me about brown vs white rice, this saves me from having to explain it ;) cheers!

love your videos 👍
even though brown rice seems to be easily healthier, it also seems to commit most of the crime in it's homecountry.....
mister meatcake Trump?
Lmao
mister meatcake I remembered this comment and thought I'd bring politics into it. ua-cam.com/video/SSQLz6rrqPg/v-deo.html
That sounds... racist?
AnotherKS p
Fuck it man, let's just avoid anything that sounds beneficial to your health, they will probably end up finding that it's not even worth it and it makes no difference if you choose which food you eat. And I'm not talking about fad foods or super foods, everything you eat it turns out it's not as healthy as you thought. Just give me the damn pepperoni pizza, I know it's not healthy but at least it never said it was.
David C. Actually home made pizza isn't unhealthy at all.
It's perfectly fine unless you're on a keto diet, in which case I think bread should be avoided.
But honestly - I don't get why pizza gets such a bad rep. I've argued with my family about *why* they think it's oh so obviously unhealthy and after a lot of struggling they came up with things that are bad about it that have to do with how it's prepared - basically how the restaurants and pizza shops are doing it wrong. So yeah, what's wrong with home-made pizza? Nothing. Pizza in and of itself is just fine.
I got an ad that says to stop watching youtube videos and go work out, awh screwed that. I need to watch this video!
I enjoy your vids so much
Thanks!
I just don't get why would ancient Asians go through all the trouble of refining till rice is white - when brown rice is eatable and with arguably more health benefits?
Sure, just like white bread, white rice is sweeter and white colour makes it more pleasing to the eye - but perhaps all this is just modern marketing.
my same question!
XpertCameraMan East Asia has favorited whiter, ligter skin for a long time and some even today would percieve darker complexions as "looking dirty". So it may have something to do with their preference for a lighter complexion or they thought brown rice looked a little dirty? So they refined it?
I'm merely making some huge, barely educated speculations. :D
All this whiter and purer 'preference' had to come from somewhere...
I know that Asian kings ate only white rice, so perhaps the rest of the public assumed this was better.
But who told the Kings that White rice is better? Why is 'White' better, purer? Who gave humans such an idea? :/
XpertCameraMan it comes from primal times of us being afraid of the dark at night when we didn't discover how to make fire consistently. So really darker the scarier and also white or lighter colors are thought to be more god associated.
White rice has a long shelf life. The brown rice will go bad much faster.
What about basmati? 🤔
Filip Dropulic it's white rice dumbass.
Can your next video be about which race is better? I'm looking for some new friends and need to know which one will give me the most gainzzz?
everything I wanted to know abt comparing white vs brown rice!!! SOLID
I eat black rice, cause I don't want to be racist
brown rice vs white rice? y is this a race issue. gee wiz
Green rice ftw.
Jewish rice
Black rice exists too. And so does Red rice.
I love you PictureFit 💙
I swear i was thinking of their differences today but was lazy to look it up but wow picture fit that was like De Ja Vu
Basmati rice is the best tasting rice imo, so I'll stick with that lol
Would you state your own opinion for once in one of these videos?
James Bone no
James Bone he did, he said they're basically the same. Very minor drawbacks and pluses on either side but nothing substantial, so eat whichever you like they're both good.
Thanksss a lot for this
Btw... do you have any videos or references about pasta being healthy?
good pun at the end just noticeable to be good and not to forced
Gooooood fuckinnggggg morningggg
Not anymore man, not anymore.

I found this extremely racist
There's only one rice and that's the human rice

Me too
@@steppebro 😂😂
you mean riceist
Holy sht , I was washing rice tonight and was thinking about asking you to make a video on brown vs rice white, you are the real mvp
Fantastic vid👍
*Why are you guys so Riceist?*
I'm really sorry for this...
I wanted to know yesterday. This videos made today. Idk how. But nice lol
This channel is the truth!🙏🏿
the pun at the end lol
Can you do a video on the benefits/negatives of pre workout supplements ?
Informative! You should consider talking about quinoa and chia seeds if you need more topics for videos. Also, is it true that eating "complex carbs" (e.g. pasta) the night before an exercise event is beneficial for your performance of the event? Or is it more important to consider the glycemic index of the food the night before. For example potatoes are complex carbs (starch) but have a high glycemic index while onions practically store pure simple carbs (glucose) but have a low glycemic index. What's best to eat for dinner the night before a routine or event?
Awesome, Awesome channel. Objective, BS-free.
I work in a kitchen and I was just thinking about this today lmoa
dangit! my mom was an early health-nut and she taught me brown rice was healthier. i like either one, usually white rice when it's in a 'filler' role (say orange chicken on rice with other sides) and brown rice when it's an integral part (say a brown rice/broccoli/mushroom combo meal she makes which is delish). i like the taste of brown rice, but it's not quite bland enough for 'filler' stuff. so for me, i like white when it's supposed to 'support' the other flavors, and brown when you wanna taste it more.
thanks for the info. much appreciated!
I've been waiting for this one babe
BABE?!
Bro your animation style is awesome. Please tell me how you are making this animation? I mean which software you use?
I use to enjoy white rice because of its smooth taste amd texture but I switched for brown rice for the nutrients and not having a food coma afterwards. After a year of mostly eating brown rice, returning to white rice feels weird. It tastes extra sweet now.
