Thank you for sharing, I am at the 13 month old phase with my son right now. It's such a joy to watch them grow as they are learning to be their own person. My son also hugs and convinces me to play when I set him down. 😅

My 13mo follows the same schedule! Can I ask what your care situation is when you are at work?
at this point, I was going into the office 3 days a week and home 2 days. when I was at home those 2 days, my husband (who was also WFH those two days) and I switched off taking care of him throughout the day and getting work done during naps or when my husband was watching him. for the other 3 days, my mom watches him (my husband drops ezra off at my parents house) and since my dad also WFH, he helps my mom out some.

2 hrs total nap time is a little short for a 13 month old, probably why he's grumpy while waking up
i know! but with wake windows before and after the nap, we aren't able to let him sleep any longer! and then if I recall at this time when he was taking longer naps we also saw some night wakings so moving it helped. Even now when he's on 1 nap he sometimes wakes up grumpy :( i think he's just like that :\

I don't saute the garlic though, I just put everything into a food processor
Maybe it’s too soon to tell, but from the looks of it I think Ezra might be left-handed.
Are either you or your husband lefties?
Yes! We noticed that too. My husband’s father is left handed but we are both right handed.
I don’t know why you want to intentionally wake up a sleeping baby. I thought sleep helps their brain develop better. I always wait until my baby wakes up on his own.
if the toddler/baby sleeps too much during the day then they won't sleep well at night. i want to preserve my nights so i make sure that ezra wakes up with enough time between nap and bedtime so he will continue to sleep through the night and not wake up early either.
