Very informative! I bought a brand new mini for side jobs in the spring, could you make a video explaining different sizes of equipment and what they can handle? I bought a 1.5 ton, very small but I plan on growing from that. I live in Ohio and I know how winters can be, what jobs do you cover for harsh winter months?
Great motivation! I’m contemplating starting with a Kubota skid steer, what’s your thoughts on putting it to work on an existing company? Since I have a full time career but want to go on my own and make $$$$
Couple questions Do you have material delivered or do you pick it up? If you pick it up does that mean you have to make two trips, one for materials and the other for your skid? If you’re digging a basement for instance, where do you bring the extra dirt?
ya for most small to medium driveways haul my self and yes mutiple trips some times i just make sure to charge for delivery and hauling off site i try to find the nearest dump site or my shop
Hi, what size dump trailer? Which skidsteer do you recommend and why? Also, how do you transport your skidsteer? On a separate trailer? Thanks in advance! -Marcus from AZ
I have a tri axle goose neck dump rated for 21,000 lbs and a good size skid-steer to start with is around a bobcat T590 size or cat 259D and I don’t always transport separate while the times I just haul it in the Dump Trailer
Thanks for the tips brother. Wanting to get started in this business. What size/make/model truck would you say is best for hauling a dump trailer and a mini excavator about the size of a cat 303?
Heck yeah man and I would say bigger the better minimum 2500 shoot for 3500 just to be safe. You always end up hauling more than you think you will lol.
Just keep saving possibly look for a really cheap one that you can fix up maybe from auction or on Facebook marketplace or possibly try to big jobs a little high and maybe just rent one for custom jobs for the short term.
@@willkearns5055 yes sir anytime in the beginning it’s always hard you just gotta keep pushing forward and be patient and work hard and provide good quality work
a good investment you can make is in your pickup bed you can add a diesel tank in the back so you can refill your equipment
I definitely agree
Is there any videos out there that would help with pricing and how to get more leads/get in front of homeowners and contractors?
That’s a good idea. I will make one all about that tonight.
These are good ideas Thanks for the info

Yeah, that’s not a bad idea as long as it pays for itself plus more
