💪💪👍👍👍
What is the best way to get experience in a skid steer and excavator to be able to start your own company? Should I join the operating engineers union and grind that for a year or work for a local excavation company? I have no prior experience
What # or name or type of rock was used?
It’s called a 1-3 inch cobblestone the stone I used on this one is a natural stone river rock but they make a one to 3 inch crushed concrete and limestone. Just depends on where you are.
Wow you guys don't have much snow either.nice job guys 👍🏻😎🇨🇦
No sir, it’s been a few years before we’ve had a consistent amount of snow in Michigan at least where I’m located
how much is hourly for skid and operator? whats the math look like for just that
Great video, I just learned something today from the comfort of my bed. Next time, when I clean the front of the shop I'll give it a try. Thank you!
Yes, sir, that’s my goal is to inform and educate and learn myself as much as I can
Where can i find this blocks in the USA?
Your sound is terrible. Not very professional
Sorry about that something I gotta work on. I move dirt for a living not a tech person. 🤷🏻♂️
@jeremykirby9006 If Jeremy focused on the value of the video instead of nitpicking the audio, he might be making money instead of splitting his mom’s WiFi bill.
you are the GOAT, thx dude
For sure thank you for watching
i hope you have a larger one for multiple / larger stumps? I've never seen one tip so often
Yes sir, I use a bigger excavator for the bigger jobs
Million dollar question: should we get Excavator or skid steer 1st? 😀
Skid Steer for sure in the beginning, you’ll have a lot more options to make money with the Skid
Where to found the project
Awesome love the editing 🤘
Thank you! I'm glad you liked the editing! 😊
KING💪💪💪👍👍👍!!!
Thank you buddy
Project is ending up DOPE!
thank you this was a fun one
Hey man, thanks for the vids! would you mind explaining the cost difference in this tiered system vs. having an engineered single wall and how you quoted this job. I appreciate you brother.
did you work for someone prior in excavation or dirt work type or just sent it with a dream and are succeeding. I have some knowledge of excavation but no one wants a part time help near me causing me to start up my own gig.
i had a bunch of experience i worked in a quarry for like 8 years but mostly just learned the landscaping and excavation stuff as i went
How many people are putting in gravel driveways in a week?
when i first started i was doing like 3-4 a week every week alot of it is just regrading and adding a couple inches so many need resurfaced and fixed
I live in an area that is flooded with heavy equipment. There's almost no work for any of them because of the current inflation and costs involved. And the throat cutting is disgusting.
Yeah, I can get pretty ugly out there once you get established and get a good client tell and contractors to work with. It’s not so bad but yeah I’ve seen some of the throat cutting in. Doesn’t make sense the cost they’re doing some of the work for they won’t be in business for very long. Where do you live at?
@@dirtworktv North East Ontario Canada
Thanks for the vids dude.
Yes sir thank you for watching my channel. Appreciate it hopefully, my content brings value.
305💪💪💪💪👍👍👍!!!
Yes, sir thinking it’s time for a bigger one eventually
That looks expensive.
Yes sir everything is with equipment
Its just a bearing
@ yes sir, but you have to replace the whole idler pain in the ass $1500 part
What size skid steer do you recommend?
Most of the middle sizes of all brands are pretty good to start with depending on what kind of work you’re trying to do
pricing is my number 1 concern
Mix that with clay and you got some good material right?
@@SmokeySmokes9 just depends on what you’re using the material for, but it definitely will pack. Good if you do that.
@ yall ever hiring operators ?
you should wear hi-vis and a hardhat/PPE to stay safe even on side jobs - great work
Appreciate the advice I’ll look into it
That’s what it’s like trying to carry my balls around
Wow huge rock
Yes sir
,💪💪💪💪
💪🏼
love the music
bro get an EV RE20
I’ll look into it
looking to start my own business in a year or two thanks for the info and insight makes it really eye opening. what do yo say were your biggest struggles when starting your business
Probably just trying to manage growth and getting to bid every job and pricing everything correctly
Thanks for this video 💪💪💪
yes sir thank you for watching my channel
Good video just to close to the mic
haha i know im not the most tech savvy this was very early in my you tube journey since then i have upgraded my mics love the feedback though helps me learn and get better
Good job not showing anything of value
@@4u2nve lol sorry you didn’t get what you want. I’m showing how well the attachment grades and I was saying that this attachment is the best I wasn’t saying look how well this attachment works.
Hey man, I just bought my 1st skid steer largely due to your videos, a 2024 C332. I have an amazing job in the tech industry with great pay, but life is about being happy and dirt work is my happy place at our farm. Summer 2025 I will take the next step and slow down at work to follow the money. So here goes nothing! keep up the great work, your videos are helping people take the next step. I appreciate you. Cheers!
dude this is so cool i love hearing this kind of feed back . you are 100% correct about being happy plus its better to control your own destiny vs some one else. keep me updated on your journey and congrats
@@dirtworktv starting to realize that now! my job is trying to let me go for no reason so thats not cool. might do a mini ex work demolition concrete driveways and smallish structures. lease a cat 305 cr tier 4 stage 5 machine for 3 or 4 years then buy out. and get a 50k loan for a 30-35k truck and trailer. and use the rest to buy stuff like shovels, chains, binders, stuff like that. might pull the trigger when they decide if they wanna let me go or not smh
@westtrumpet7 that sounds like a good plan you’d be surprised how well something you can go when you’re doing it for yourself and your family your whole motivation and drive to make things happen and changes quite a bit and honestly that’s the best time to start. what’s the worst that can happen you end up having to get another job anyways
Whyd you put boulders on something you didnt want damaged
lol didnt mean to put the attachments in there day before and forgot they were in there
Was it a Monday? Ouch my guy.
yes sir
Oooof. I had to watch it three times to even be able to tell what's under those bolders.
Ya crazy Harley rake attachment, and another attachment 🤦🏻♂️
How??
That’s what I’m saying. That’s a Monday morning right there. 😂😂
😂😂😂
Ya
Damn, that’s gonna be expensive🍻
For sure
Broooo 😂😂
I know so bad
👍👍👍 💪💪💪
🤘🤘
That’s a pretty big driveway. Do you usually stay pretty busy in the winter?
Yeah, for the most part ever since I’ve started I’ve stayed pretty steady through the winter
Thanks for sharing this kind of content. Looks like a beautiful place to be running equipment. If you don't mind me asking, how much did that skid steer cost you?
I paid like 45,000 for it like four years ago and it had like 200 hours on it used to be in much better shape, but after a bunch of land clearing jobs, it takes a toll on it
Mustaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad
I bought a mini ex and skid steer. It’s pretty cool how work comes. There’s always someone who needs something dug or moved.
Seriously, it’s crazy. I’ve never not had work pushing on social media and just referrals. It’s crazy how busy you can get.
