- Everyone has their own unique ritual when it comes to washing their filter socks. I like to keep it simple since mine are not that dirty. I just use a long soak cycle and a pre rinse and another rinse after to make sure they are extra clean. Feel free to leave your rituals in the comments below.

I use the same method. I can't see myself running a reef without filter socks. Helps clear the water. I have a triggers 39 and it holds (3) 4" socks I brought 12 to have plenty while I wash the dirty ones. Good vid Danny
+DC Reefer thanks man. How messy are your triggers.
Coralust Reef Solutions I have a blue throat Trigger but I was saying I have the triggers Sump emerald 39"
cool didn't know you could wash these thanks for sharing
Awesome Tip!
Omg you clean and use the washing machine too 😍😍 your just perfect aren't you 👌
I keep telling myself that, lol keeps me working hard. The problems of being an over achiever.
Danny you did such a good job I think I'll hire you to do my laundry as well 😉 haha nice vid man.
+Nano_Joe thanks your video is coming tomorrow
Nice I have been washing the socks with just hot water and no substances. I guess I have been chicken to use any chemical. They come out clean with no smell but they are not silky white.
Good video. Maybe I need to do a video also with a more affordable washer. We all don't have fancy high end washers, lol.
+Down South Reefer I would be curious to find out. Keep me posted.
So you dont soak in prime or anything after washing? You just dry them and use them?
+wombraider091 yes I let them dry out first then use when I need a replacement.
Coralust Reef Solutions Great Thanks 👍
Dude I don’t know how I have never seen this video. It would have saved me a ton of money 😕
Cant imagine how bad that smells. So much 💩
