The Monteagle grade isn't what it was .To really get the point of the song you'd have to have driven it before they 'fixed' it. That damn thing was something else.
Lyrics: You heard about the legend of Jesse James John Henry just to mention some names But there's a truck driving legend in the south today A man called Bandit from Atlanta G.A. Every gear jammer knows his name They swear he got icewater runnin in his veins Foot like lead, and nerves like steel He's gonna go to glory ridin 18 wheels He left Atlanta back in '63 Callin him the loner from Tennessee He hit Mont Eagle in the driving rain So hard he couldn't even see the passing lane Well he started down the grade when he lost the gear He hit them brakes found he had no air The Mont Eagle grade is steep and long And everbody that seen it thought the Bandit was gone Well his truck jack-knifed turned completely 'round He was coming down backwards 'bout the speed of sound Alot of folks seen him and they all say He had his head out the windae Yelling clear the way Well he got to the bottom safe and sound Everybody asked Bandit how he made it down He said folks when the truck picked up too much speed I just run along beside it and drug my feet You heard about the legend of Jesse James John Henry just to mention some names But there's a truck driving legend in the south today A man called Bandit from Atlanta G.A. @@MrRmcconnell W900 to be exact, very similar to the one you show from Movin On. Loved that show as a kid, it predated Smokey and the Bandit by a couple of years.
It's a shame this song is so short,RIP,Jerry😅
Love all truckin' songs. Snowman and Bandit rule in my book👍
My favorite song from the movie...love East Bound and Down....but loved the opening more.
i love the tributes to BJ and the Bear and Movin On
Nice to see moving on also👍
There should have given a nod to the great trucking TV show Cannonball, and maybe to the GMC Crackerbox from Movin On.
One of the best movies ever made!
Awesome!! 💯👍👍
Can you do "Convoy" next??
My dad's a *huge* C.W. McCall fan!!
Brilliant !!! Loved this movie since i was a kid (:
Pretty cool! Loved the references to bj and the bear and movin on. Would love to see more!
Thanks!
@@MrRmcconnell Love to see you do one to the Movin On theme by Merle Haggard.
Fine Piece of Work, Sir!!! Amazing Tribute!!! Bandit & Snowman Would Be Proud!!!
Danny ❤❤❤
Perfekt!!! Sollte es mal neu verfilmt werden, sollte das Intro so aussehen ❤
I drive a truck and used to drive an old school rig like that and I admit you did a bang up job! 👍
Thanks. I drove for TMC a Pete 379 for a couple of years and really enjoyed it.
That was a nice and well done surprise. Love the song and movie. Great tribute!!!
That was a badass and I do mean badass video! Thanks

Hmmm. Wonder who's driving that Firebird at the Standard station.
Done it in different ways

You heard about the legend of Jesse James
John Henry just to mention some names
But there's a truck driving legend in the south today
A man called Bandit from Atlanta G.A.
Every gear jammer knows his name
They swear he got icewater runnin in his veins
Foot like lead, and nerves like steel
He's gonna go to glory ridin 18 wheels
He left Atlanta back in '63
Callin him the loner from Tennessee
He hit Mont Eagle in the driving rain
So hard he couldn't even see the passing lane
Well he started down the grade when he lost the gear
He hit them brakes found he had no air
The Mont Eagle grade is steep and long
And everbody that seen it thought the Bandit was gone
Well his truck jack-knifed turned completely 'round
He was coming down backwards 'bout the speed of sound
Alot of folks seen him and they all say
He had his head out the windae Yelling clear the way
Well he got to the bottom safe and sound
Everybody asked Bandit how he made it down
He said folks when the truck picked up too much speed
I just run along beside it and drug my feet
You heard about the legend of Jesse James
John Henry just to mention some names

This song reminds me of my gart uncle russy- he you to drive truck from onawa iowa
This is different. Nice change up.
Trying some earth bound with cycles render.
Don't forget the Blue Mule? Lol
Great job, but I would have gone with “East bound and down” one of best songs ever….Jerry Reed was a genius
You have BJ McKay's tuck but no Big Black Mac with a can on back. Or a Cabover Freightliner with a waterbed.
Great to see Sonny Pruitt's W900 Kenworth though!
Was this done in blender or American Truck Simulator, it looks soo goo
Blender
What this game or this a animation?
Blender 3D VFX software.
@@MrRmcconnell ok, thank you

Ok what game or some is that i NEED IT
i have played it i dont remember the name tho i think its for windows 98
Was Jerry driving a Kenworth or Peterbilt truck
Kenworth

Nicely done. Only negative would be the speed of the song. Way to fast...makes Mr. Reed sound like one of the chipmunks.
what's on the truck's trailer what are those
not sure what your talking about.
@@MrRmcconnell the design
@@kelseydonaldson8795 It is from Smokey and the Bandit Movie. Jerry Reed stared in the film and wrote several songs for it.
@@MrRmcconnell that design can also be seen in Smokey and the bandit 2
@@kelseydonaldson8795 yes but it is much smaller on the trailer
