Versailles is the band responsible for my love for Japanese music. You picked a great song to react to, I think its an underrated track and one of my favorites. The Love from a Dead Orchestra is another song thats about the same length and goes through similar changes.
Found Versailles through UA-cam rec's way back when I was in high school around the time of the album this song is from (Noble) late 2007. I've been a fan ever since. The costumes and the lyrics of their albums are connected - the style of visual kei emphasizes performance encompassing both the music and elaborate visuals. Versailles albums and songs do have a story-line, usually centering around vampires and concepts of immortality, including recurring characters and themes across albums.
For the song 'ASCENDEAD MASTER' (their most commercially successful single) they released a short film in segments on the different versions of the single - it was a little confusing for me since I don't understand Japanese, but the gist of it was the a group of vampires (the band) commit life insurance fraud by selling the insurance and then making their clients immortal so that they have to keep paying in forever. My understanding of it was probably wrong, but the concept was entertaining, haha!
From their earlier stuff I recommend 'Love from the Dead Orchestra' which includes more of the storyline references; 'Shout & Bites' a short but punchy song; and the instrumental song 'Silent Knight'. And can't forget 'Zombie', my fave, and also one the band has mentioned in their interviews is their most fun to play live.
If you decide to react to more, I def recommend live videos/concert vids if you can - Kamijo ad libs extra screams, audience participation is a thing, and you get a better view of Hizaki's and Teru's epic guitar skillz!
Thanks for the reaction and thoughtful commentary - happy to see someone enjoying one of my favourite bands!
Nice reaction, Versailles live is amazing!!!
So long I watched someone react VERSAILLES...THanks dude
Pls React more :)
Really like your reaction there buddy. Yeah, they are symphonic metal band. A Visual Kei Band. Im not sure if people like it or not but im personally, really digging Versailles. The musicianship from these 5 man are insane. They are doing performance on stage. I believe its singer/vocalist Kamijo is the one who write the song for the orchestral since he is coming from musician background family. Usually people will recommend Masquerade, Faith and Decision, Ascendead Master, God Palace etc. For me personally, there are more songs from them.. They are good live too.
Other band that i like from visual kei band is The Gazette. Check out Deux Live for starting i guess... they are another band who give a good live too.
This might be the first reaction video I see from this song. I think the album of this song is so underrated, and I'm happy that you enjoyed this song.
Versailles were the band that introduced me to the Visual Kei scene back in 2015. Lots has happened in 5 years and it's no hyperbole that this music keeps me alive in my illness and disability...
More Versailles is a good thing. Masquerade, and Faith and Decision are good starters, and it'd be nice to see someone do God Palace, an epic track that needs more reactions.
Visual Kei is an amazing scene. There's no fixed music genre... Bands range from pop rock to the most extreme deathcore you'll ever hear... But the bands have a theme, very conceptual... Some are just one word, others are incredibly in depth and elaborate...
I've grabbed a bunch of links from my current favourites... Mostly in the middle ground, still varied, and Gone for some of the more elaborate themes and also some of the lesser known bands...
Hope you enjoy them.

Please reacts to Faith & Desicion live of Versailles, its a spectacular Song lml. And thanks for this reaction.
Just wish I had some way to give this more views, sadly this is my only social media platform.
A great reaction, I appreciate it (^▿^)b
Versailles is my favorite band of all Japan... maybe you will be interested in one of these songs: Serenade, Philia, Aristocrat's Symphony, Judicial Noir or Catharsis.
Good reaction!
I would classify Versailles as symphonic/ neoclassical/ progressive metal.
Some may say Versailles is power metal, but I would not say they are.
Because there sound is not focused around speedy riffs and fast playing guitars, most of there songs have quite a slow tempo but with instances where it speeds up.
I think as you did History of the other side as your first reaction, you should maybe not listen to there masterpiece Faith & Decision yet.
And maybe go for something like Versailles - Masquerade ( ua-cam.com/video/niAl_paNrh0/v-deo.html ).
I meet him in Italy, all band sign my guitar.. It Visual-k style
I think another band that might interest you is Mary's Blood and their shredder queen: Saki.

Since Band-Maid is an all female band, but they play power-metal like Versailles.
Pleace reaction more versailles
"Masquerade"
"Faith and desicion"
These guys are mainly power-metal, with a Symphonic twist, their visual style is precisely: Visual Kei.
Hizaki is one of the most renowned japanese guitarists... really a great band, but not my kind of band.
