14 years ago I fell in love with a grey, black, and peach granite countertop with a 3 in backsplash and later added a dark grey tile. Now I am looking into removing that granite backsplash and adding a row of the same color subway tile. People are now installing a white tile, but for me I don't want the expense of changing it all, so I am settling for just removing the backsplash and extending the dark grey tile to the counter. It was finally nice to see a video working with a darker tile. Lots of people don't mention centering the tile - they just start from the end. I am going to start from the center. Thanks.
Fantastic and informative video thank you Woodie. I was apprehensive prior to seeing this but your explanation was clear and comprehensive and I feel confident to do it myself now. Keep up the great work Woodie
Thanks for video. Question:- is it best to grout between the top tile and the hood or silicone (like between the bottom tile and the work top)? Getting the grout up there would be difficult and if the hood was ever changed in the future, the silicone would be easier to replace. Your thoughts please?

Ireland's Home Depot. Nice
If you use a batten is there a risk it will get stuck to the wall because of the tile adhesive?
do you use the grout finisher before the grout is set hard?
Splashback or backsplash...either way...looks good
Splashback to be sure to be sure
How do you backsplash behind a stove that has no countertop?

Nothing worst than adhesive on your hood
