Wow. How brilliantly you've put it🙌🏼👏🏻 This is EXACTLY how I feel, too! It's actually a bit crazy how balanced they are in every aspect if they do have an age difference of quite a few years. They are too compatible and on the same wavelength for it to be noticeable in really anything other than their appearances. Call me delusional, cringe, a weirdo or whatever, but I'll say anyway that (to me) they're one of the most akin to soulmates pairings I've ever come across
You mentioning how they are so gentle, I have to bring up a scene which is likely my favourite of theirs so far because their tenderness in it is unlike anything I've seen. It's the one where they are laying on the hotel bed in the morning, having the most beautiful dialogue ever for a sapphic ship and then Marta leans her head on Fina's shoulder as if she isn't (probably) the older of the two..😩😵 Oh god the way that scene killed me asdhdgsh I had to scream into my duvet - it was just too much. Again: call me cringe as much as you like, I don't care

We have experienced that in all the fiction combining queer women and a period drama, particularly in telenovelas with their hundreds of episodes and the tendency to exaggerated (melo)drama. Sometimes they go too far with it as was the case with Barcedes imo..😬
Looked it up because I was curious (also bcs -58 doesn't feel so far away to me) and apparently it's only in -75 that things will start to get better for lgbt people in Spain. That's 17 years; plenty of time for Marta and Fina to experience atrocities😭 I just want them to be transported to the eighties or more modern times so they can be safe - a spin-off similar to what Luimelia got would be lovely

I freaking love them. I found out about them from a Twitter account that usually posts Kate and Lucy content. At first i immediately scroll pass them bcs the user tweeted in Spanish and I don't understand Spanish. But the user keep posting them daily and even changed their username/bio, so with us being in a Kacy drought right now ,one day I watched and read the tweet about mafin and I'm so greatful I did. Their story is sooooo good so far, great acting, great chemistry. Unfortunately I can only keep up on their story via Twitter and rely on inaccurate translation. On a more serious note: I've been single for a number of years, after having lost the love of my life in a car accident more than a decade ago. It isn't like I haven't given anyone else a chance since, but my heart just wasn't in it, so those relationships never lasted very long. Three years ago, I decided it just wasn't worth it and that I'd rather be single than in a half-assed relationship. But I swear to you, Nancy, if someone like Marta looked at me the way she looks at Fina, I'd give in right then and there.

Nice video but I have to disagree - their chemistry is more than okay-ish. Especially for a Spanish period drama, theirs is sizzling.
Fair, maybe because I didn't see it from the beginning, but please don't get me wrong I love them so much, specially on Marta, because it's the second time she plays a queer character on TV. But can I kindly I invite you to watch the following Spanish shows like: Silvia and Pepa from “Los Hombres de Paco” "Tierra de Lobos" Camino and Maite on “38 Acacias” “Seis Hermanas” Luisita and Amelia on “Amar es Para Siempre” Maca and Esther on “Hospital Central”, I mean this is just a few that left me breathless with their chemistry.
@@LesbianMojo I think there's a difference if they are set in modern settings where women's characters have had a different society to grow up in and show passion, I think, so it will definitely look differently. If I am dating a woman, I'd expect things to look more like Hospital Central than this series just because we live in the modern times where thankfully, even though not fully equal, we're not as subjugated because of being women and even made huge progress with homosexuality rights. Also, perhaps chemistry, for me, is more based on other things than erotic energy and physicality although I do find their body language very convincing. The dialogue flows well most of the time and doesn't feel too contrived even though it's dated (as it should be for a period piece). I know Silvia and Pepa are like the golden standard but I didn't like them that much, tbh. Can't really say why not. Sometimes a ship just clicks, you know? And Mafin just clicked when I was not expecting it. Thanks for bringing the ship into people's feeds :)
