Man, I’m really digging your tone! Your consistency is amazing, just a brick of tone 👌 One suggestion content-wise that would be amazing would be you and Buzbee playing excerpts in the orchestra! I very highly enjoy those videos and would love to see more!
@@jdxl.l Wait for real? That’s awesome! Unfortunately, I live much too far away to even have a chance of meeting him, but he seems like a really cool person! The professor that I study under currently has met Tim Buzbee a couple times and says he’s a cool person.
Thanks for uploading , I always enjoy your great sound and power. I notice you’re using a dependent bone in this video but use an independent Thayer setup in some of the other videos. Is the dependent preferable for certain situations compared to the independent?
The man himself returns
Haha thanks
Bro I've missed your content great to see you again!
Thank you!
When i do get a chance to play this piece eventually, i will specifically request that i be seated right in front of the trombone section
Haha good one!
That horn sounds absolutely fantastic!!!
Thanks Gerald! 1953 MV50!
it's not the horn it's the player, silly!
@@somebody9033 It is both. That horn is special. It takes a great player to bring a special horn alive.
Great playing as usual!
Cheers Colin, thanks
Bravo!!!!!
Cheers thanks Stuart
HE’S BACK
É por esse motivo que me da mas vontade de de tocar trombone baixo, quando vejo vc largando a marreta sem desafinar
Thank you very much!
well played, I assume this piece is a fun one on bass

Thanks! There are a couple with me and Tim like R&J and Fountains. I’ll try to get him in the next big one
I met Tim last week at Melbourne Uni he’s a great person and player… also asked about you haha

@@SamuelHikida yeah he was super cool and gave some really good insights especially with something as seemingly simple as breathing
@@jdxl.l Wow! Would you like to give me a couple things/concepts he talked about?
Really good👍
What a mild tone ✨🥰✨
Any bass trombonist knows how hard those higher notes on bass are
The hard part is leaping over the partials cleanly and crisply! Thanks for your kind words
@@mikeszabo5631 I find that to be one of my biggest challenges

Not really, just personal preference! My big Thayer horn doesn’t respond as well as this one so that’s why I used it. Cheers
Hi Mike! Which trombone do you play in the video?
That is my Mt Vernon Bach 50 with Olsen valves!
Are you Hungarian? Szabo is a common Hungarian last name
Yes, my ancestors were Hungarian!
И что?????
Сыграй Стравинского Пунчинеллу.
