I was introduced to AWOL by a dude in a boat. I was night fishing on a lake and I started hearing this song in the distance, just kept getting louder and louder as this badass party barge just slowly came out of the darkness and passed by blaring this song, it was fucking amazing.
That would be epic.
I was introduced to them by The Redbull commercial😂
Csgo
Amazing story 🤗. I was introduced to it by a dude in a car.. Doesn’t have the same ring to it 😂
I was introduced by the show Longmire, s1 e5 “Dog Soldier”, if I remember correctly
Haven't listened to this song in 9 years and never thought to revisit it. Used to play this on repeat summer of 2012 while sneaking my kindle fire I saved up for to play minecraft during those warm nights. Still young but time really flies.
You're probably still older than me and I've still been listening for a long time 😅
your so right
Gods it's so strange that so much yet so little time has passed. Around 2013 when I got my first taste of this song I was just starting my time on the internet (The internet that was dominated by Minecraft music videos, let's plays, etc.) Almost a decade later and almost everything has changed, but this song and all the all videos bring me back.
sneaking the kindle fire and ds at night was peak of my life
mannn those were the days
10 years later, still one of the greatest songs i have ever heard.
It will always be an amazing song.
You quit listening to music for 10 years?
very true

This song sums up my 2011-2014

12 years ago now. This came out when I was working on my dissertation for my doctorate. I used to listen to this over and over and over again when I was struggling the most. Those were some difficult, sometimes very dark days. This song resonated. It is a powerful song.
Yup keep goin bro
No one cares
I do. What was your dissertation?
Congratulations on your Doctorate 😊 have a happy blessed life. You made it yay !!!
Listening to all the music that I remember from high school now as a 29yr old who feels like he blinked and a decade went by. Nostalgia is a bitch.
Im also 29 you took the words right outta my mouth
I was a sophomore in highschool when this came out, crazy how time flies, and remembering everyone who pass away
just turned 30, its becoming worse
It'll be 50 before you know it.
Same here. Same age. When I was 19 to now at 29 feels like a blur.
Damn, this song has helped clear out water from my speakers for 10 years now
Proper art is timeless.
How did water get in your speakers that often??
@@SelrisitaiFunctional performance
Also can be used to clean my old speaker Harman Kardon Soundstcik III. I put tissue paper (used toilet tissue roll) on it and the song just let my speaker sucked the tissue paper inside the hole.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My cousin is just about to pass away from a horrible motorcycle accident and this was his FAVORITE song. When I heard the news, all I could think of is this one time we were playing a family softball game and for his walk up song he said to play this song and ended up walking up to home plate as if he was Bath Ruth pointing to the outfield like he was call his shot. I love you David!
🙏 🕯️

Still as fresh 10 years on!!! Classic!!!
Hoping they can push out something as good as this again........
I feel you dude
@@amandacurry3025they have. Knights of shame. Same album I think. Amazing
My ancestors would’ve enjoyed this song as well 🔥
😂😂🎉
Love this song brings me home every time.
10 years goes by fast these days🤘🏽. Staying hard and forever serving the non believers. Rick Dirt
Me too ✋️ 😊

Almost 71 here and love this song. It was used in a Longmire episode, evil social worker taking Native children from their families, and I searched for it to listen to. Finally, found it and it is a favorite!
That's what i thought of too!, The Longmire episode- perfect usage.
I’m still rockin’ this one.
Moves greatly!
Yes it does
10 years later, still a epic song.
What other songs can you recommend. Any band that has similar energy to it?
Inspiration, destination, universal known gratitude, knowledge, wisdom, love, peace, friendship, all tied into your own reality!

What an amazing song, then, now and ever!
This song unlocked a deep memory inside me 😥
💓
you know it's fire when we come back 10 years later. 11th anniversary in 3 weeks
Those lyrics hit so hard .
So right

I love this song passionately... music, sound, beat, lyrics, voices... it's flawless. I wish it was longer with more lyrics
That’s what she said
I just play it over again.

There has to be a 1 hour loop somewhere.out there....😎
Less is more 🤣
I got totally numbed to this song because of marching band, but after not hearing it for two years, I remembered that it's actually a bop, especially when not played in double time for some reason.
Me with color guard
Me with seven nation army.
10 years on and I still blame it on my ADD baby...AWOL for life!
Heh, was diagnosed with ADD since I last listened
Yesssss
ADD is the outdated term. It’s now called ADHD.
Add 38 I years no fun
@@gamergirl2236 Not really. ADD is just ppl with ADHD but without the Hyperactive
This was my uncles favorite songs. Hearing it brings tears to my eyes. Rest in paradise uncle Charles you deserve justice!
_Justice?_ Was he murdered?
I hope they pay
This is definitely one of my fav songs.
Heard it in Longmire still love it.
Sail 👍🤠⛵️⛵️⛵️if you have never crossed a ocean on a sailboat it’s the biggest thrill one could take and this song fits that sail
the fact that the biggest spike in replays is at the beginning says everything
Ah it's good to hear my favorite song again.
I remember how long it took for this song to hit the mainstream. Like, 3 years. Only alternative radio was playing it in Columbus Ohio.
O-H 10 logs never run out Columbus ROCKS I ride out from Youngstown when I need a 🌽 field!!! You RULE DELEAST
1:39 always stuck in my head
10 years later still sounds amazing

In 2019 I played baseball and my dad would always play this song on the way to a game and it was one of my favorites and haven’t listened to it in 2 years almost cried because of the great memories
Music can have such an intense emotional recall I've noticed. It's truly magical. I hope you have many, many more awesome memories to come.
Remember seeing them at the House of Blues in Vegas when this came out with my buddy Marshall. That bass hits you in the bones. It was a great show
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Still magnificent. I heard it on "Longmire" episode 5 watching re-runs. I had to look it up. Impressive.
This song changed my life and honestly it sounds like it could have been released yesterday. So ahead of its time
My first time hearing this song was from watching the movie When the Game Stands Tall! Ever since then i fell in love with this song!
I was 4 when this came out, I would scream this song at the top of my lungs in my moms car. This song has always been one of my favorites, I still listen to it to this day, i still remember it even though I was 4 when it came out.
You must have scared her to death with some of these lyrics.
@@FUFriendsUnited lmao, my mom loves this song a lot so she sang it with me.
Any Miele in that second rate kitchen! Must be, as the visual is extravagant. Well done.
I love this song. It just vibes
in high school after my friends and i smoked we’d be like soooo listen to sail??? 😂 miss those days and those ppl
When that bass hit 🔥🔥🔥
so much respect for this song. Love it! Wish I could use it on my channel as an intro, it literally touches my soul. I am ex Navy Vet. Much respect.
This song sounds like the greatest dystopia to me! Right behind (or above) Take Me To Church!
Still one of the best songs from the 2010's era. I like this song so much. I always say: Why "Run" when you can "Sail"? Because the song "Run" doesn't stick on me like this one does.
This song holds an important spot close to my heart. I've always imagined "blame it on my ADD" to mean Alcohol and Drug Dependency, which is something my father struggled with. He was depressed, manic, addicted to alcohol, drugs and cigarettes, living in the fast lane, and being true to himself. We never really had a relationship because he was too busy getting drunk, fighting with my mom and throwing things, holding a g*n to his head, or driving fast and reckless. I guess this song just embedded itself into my psyche as a way to connect with him and his mindset. Being so hurt and depressed that you turn selfish and self-hating at the same time.
My first real girlfriend played this for me when we were 15 high as fuck in a black light lit room. I'm a grown ass man now and still think about that night some times lmao
This song is badass
Hell yeah 😎 😊it still is 😊
Hallelujah!!!
My ears were blessed with this song from such a young age bc of my dad and it’s still one of my favorites to this day!
This song hits different
Heard this at a store getting beer and decided that when I get drunk im playing it loud enough for the cops to get called. Here I am.
Damn this will never get old. I love love love!
Played it til it cracked the floors, walls and ceiling.
Still the best.
Used to listen to this song constantly in the background in the summer while playing Bo2
How fantastic is the music
I remember back in 2011/2012 when i was playing Cataclysm/MoP and going to loads of LAN parties and this was one of my favorite songs :) Good times

That's something special. It's a grip hold.

Song will sound good next 10, 20, 30+ years from now... Classic
Still love this and i enjoy metal more than anything lol
Speaking of metal, DevilDriver's cover was just as awesome. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Second this. Devildriver’s cover of this is sick af.

Stunning, timeless 💙💫
Happy 36th Birthday Shane… in the afterlife 🙏🏂🎉♥️ I love you brother. I miss you already so much. Here’s a song I know you love 💗
Scrolling through the comments, I saw yours. What caught my eye was his age. I'm about to turn 35 and still feel like a youngster. How long ago did he pass and how?
Sending love and peace your way!
@@blazzintrails7114 Thank you. He passed on March 3rd 2022, 9 days before his 36th. I just turned 35 on April 7th… I understand how you feel. He had cirrhosis of the liver, caused by alcohol.
@@blazzintrails7114 I know the feeling. I’m 38 and still think I’m 24 for some reason. The truth is I’m 38 regardless what I think. And death comes to us all and you or I can not do a dam thing about it. Find ur purpose. It has nothing to do with fame or money. Wish you well.

I listened to this song a long time ago, but a few weeks ago I re-downloaded CSGO and I heard this song in the match I played, what an amazing song!
Discovered this song in a Jeb Corlis video years ago and fell in love with it.
I loved this song immediately when it came out and in 2024 I'm still listening ❤
Love this song
Back when I was 15 I came across this song on UA-cam randomly, I clicked off but it has been at the back of my mind cause it was just too good, and I just found out what it's called in my recent CS match lol!!! Glad I finally found it.
my dad showed me this song when i was younger and i've never turned back
I first heard this song watching the movie incarnate. The movie and song is fire
This brings back memories of bo2 release and late night party chats with randoms from across the country
This song will be more popular and most viewed to all the year 2023,2024, etc
Reason why it’s sounds cool
11 years later my fav song I love it it can get of my mind please do songs like that
made sure this was the last song i would listen to in 2024, my favourite song
WE GETTING OUT OF SILVER WITH THIS ONE🔥🔥🔥🔥
Maybe you should -- love yourself even though you're stuck in silver.
Always will remember this from that electric scene in Longmire.
Best song ever
Love it ❤
Great tune. Petty about the singer. Stay of the drugs and stay true. U are a legend
