    வணக்கம் சார், Viking and cheeta வித்தியாசத்தை உதாரணதோடு சொன்னதுக்கு நன்றி. BS4, BS3, BS2 silencer ல சத்தம் குறைவாக இருக்கும். அதற்கு முன்பு hino model என்ஜின் silencer சத்தம் அதிகமாக இருக்கும். இது எதனால் ஏற்படுகிறது என்று சொன்னால் நன்றாக இருக்கும். நன்றி சார்.

      Yes..they developed it for India only. But yet to be launched in market as a mass model
      The engine is 400hp with a massive torque of 1600 NM

    North has some Ashok Leyland rear engine Model!! Whether that model is failure? Could you please explain that reason why Ashok Leyland has tried rear engine?? I cant find that model in South!!

      It was the legacy of TN for last 40 years...very unique in India.
      In the past, govt body building units themselves will build bodies. Each corp will build its own style of body and within each corp, each category(moffusil, inter-state) will have different body designs.
      But in the last 10 years, govt is contracting body building more to private builders. They tend to copy each other style and hence less variety in the design of buses. Further, govt is specifically giving body template design to private builders these days. (eg, SETC , TNSTC blue buses) . Apart from this, Bus body code AIS 052 also has to be adhered.
      In future, TN will also become like other states- uniformity in design of buses.

    Awesome content sir, I have one doubt when I was studying school in ooty ,I use to go by government bus and the make of the bus when I was traveling period is ,Ashok Leyland comet cut chasis bus .An 1997 batch buses.i noticed the bus driver shifting the gear from 4th gear to 5th gear. So when I was young I don't have much knowledge so you kindly clarify my doubt .

      In the past, Ashok Leyland has introduced 5 gear as well as Overdrive in some models. Later they removed these and brought default configuration.

    Decades back... Karnataka Road transport corporation...KSRTC..(.THEN MYSORE STATE TRANSPORT CORPORATION...MSRTC)...was operating road train sleeper bus between Bangalore to Hubli...!!!!....Now with wide roads... nobody is thinking about it .. specially for distance between 300 to 500 kms????

      Comet was truck chassis. Initially Leyland built buses also on Comet chassis. Later they developed Viking platform.
