In the next video i will show you how to change the spark plugs on this bike. Enjoy and Subscribe to see my upcoming videos which will include maintenence, reviews and general fun. You can trust my knowledge as i am a qualified mechanic. However, refer to your handbook for oil and part requirements or any other technical info. Thanks for watching!!

    Well done. I am pleased that you showed many angles of the bike while conducting the oil change because I have just notice a leak on mine. Now I have an idea that the leak is coming from the filter. Thank you, much appreciated.

    Just a tip, i noticed you didnt pre fill your filter before you attached it, you should fill your filter with oil before installing, doing so speeds up the process of oil circulation, if you dont your motor will be without oil until the filter fills and then distributed to motor.

    • @whiterazer1
      @whiterazer1 5 років тому +4

      Good tip, but I could also think of some reasons not to do this:
      Usually you ride the bike to warm up the oil before changing it, so it drains well. This means the old oil was pumped through the engine and left a film. Due to the limited rpm / load this will lubricate sufficiently until the new oil hits those spots. Furthermore your method might be more challenging for beginners in terms of keeping everything clean. When oil is spilled out of the new filter it might also cause difficulties regarding how much oil to exactly add through the filler opening, after putting on the filter.
      Just some considerations though. I think your tip is still great, especially for people who already have some experience and that are less likely to make a mess. Thumbs up!

    • @thunderthunder6568
      @thunderthunder6568 Рік тому +1

      @@JesusLopez-xo4gi just check it up regularly and have no fear. My bike used to be a track bike to previous owner so I got it cheaper because of it and it still serves me perfectly as a road vehicle. You'll doubtfully go wrong with it.
      NOTE: I would suggest 750. If it is a bit powerful, you can always put it in C or B until you grow into it, and after 2 seasons I still didn't outgrow it.

    just want to add, every bike i have had and did an oil change on usually after you fill up the oil to the corect level you want to let it idle for a few mins and give a few revs and move the bike left to right and then turn it off check the oil and then it usually needs a top up because i think it like settles or something then go for a ride then come back check it and then later that week after a couple more rides check it and it probably needs a top up of like 100ml then after that week it never needs a top up ever again, i think it just needs to settle or something idk what it is but every bike i have had its done that

    • @HeliNomadic

      No, no stand needed. In fact, if you use the kickstand, it leans the bike over and lets the oil drain easier than if it was on a garage stand.

    For next time and for any bike where the oil filter is above the front headers, put some aluminium foil around the header where the oil shoud drip, so after the flush, you just remove it, but a little of brake cleaner, and you're done, no more cleaning ;)
