Nearly three hundred apprentices applied in 2007 to help build these energy projects and by the fifth year there were maybe fifty of us left. Half of them quit by the second year after sitting without work for several months because the contracts were delayed indefinitely as we were told. I kind of got the feeling they hired too many of us and didn't know what to do with us. But here's a comment from someone who dedicated a decade of his life for trying to help out. I am grumpy over the disappointments and getting an immune disorder from cleaning up hazardous city problems instead of installing new projects like they hyped us up for. I sure hope working apprentices get a better insurance plan than I ended up with.

I’m staying in central Wyoming, and there’s lots of oil and gas wells in this area. Driving around, we have seen many more not operating than operating. Oh, and they’re almost all on BLM land.

The Congress should place funding that organization at the same priority as they have on issuing leases and reports. Delay further deposits for 4 years and tell them "were looking at it very closely and we want to be sure it's durable when we make the deposit. I can't give you an exact date your Paycheck will cash."

If they are breaking the law, have the Sergeant at Arms arrest them for breaking the law and then take your time transferring custody to the Federal Marshals. Of course, they will be released and not charged, but you still need to draw up the charging paperwork and review the paperwork to get the custody transferred. That could take overnight.

Tired of people acting like blue collar workers don’t make much money. My kids dad is an electrician, just a basic journeyman and he makes $140,000. I live in northern idaho and know many many loggers. In fact the town next to me’s highschool mascot is the logger. It’s huge here. The loggers make a lot of money. Most own their own logging trucks or they work at the mill which takes very good care of them. They all have great lives. Just wanted to make that point. Also Idahoans love loggers and love to grow and cut down trees to help our country. All these hippies trying to stop cutting down trees better also stop using toilet paper.

If the law requires the permits to be issued within a 60 day limit, i would think 4 yrs is long enough that i would expect this issue to have already been litigated and punishment handed down. Why hasnt this happened?

We have enough fossil fuels deposits in America to meet our National needs for another 500 + years or so. I’m fed up with our so called “green energy” needs. We wouldn’t have been able to progress from the horse & buggy mode of transportation nor from steam engine boats or railroads without fossil fuels.
