The trip out to the Barossa is an absolute doddle now with the roads they have eh? A couple of other things worth looking at if you are up again imo are a drive along Steingarten Road at Rowland flat. It takes in the views of the valley from the top of the hills and has some lookouts and a sitting area/table where it would be lovely to have a bite or a coffee. Very easy to do in the 4wd. Also the bike/walking track between St Hallett rd, down from Rockfords Winery, and Jacobs creek is lovely with lots of birdlife and views of the creek and farmland. A bit up and down but worth the effort imo. Lots of wineries for sure but plenty of other things to see as well in the Barossa and surrounding areas. Thanks for the video.
Living the dream! Love your videos, mate. I'm stuck in an office or a small room 99% of the time so these are a good escape from modern life. Keep up the great content.
Oh that was nice , different scenery and visiting the wineries . Shows a different tourist view . Very nice , clean tidy and great to see people starting to get out and about more . Makes for positive thinking . 👍❤️🐾
Another great episode Mick. I loved the story about Sally on the steps, that was so lovely. Must be a very special lady to have had her photo in your wallet since you were 16 💜 Have been to Jacobs Creek when we were in SA - a beautiful spot 💜💜
Brilliant video. We visited the Barossa Valley area in 2017 and went to both Jacob Creek and Seppeltsfield Wineries on a bus tour. Yes great character buildings gives the right atmosphere. The weather is not flash here in NZ at the moment so we opened a Jacob's Creek red to sit down and watch your video. Brought back memories. Thanks Mick and Sally.
Salutations, JPhB.
There was any type of wine that was required, reds, whites & Rose. With so many wineries in the Barossa, any taste can be accommodated for. As for the chocolates, there are so many to choose from starting from low cost to more expensive types, so many to choose from again like the wines.
Very nice road trip. Be interested to know what the rates were for your camper and what you'd get with the ensuite & for how much more! Looked very quiet around the valley, was that still on account of Covid? Or was that usual for the time of year? Be interested to see the house boat holiday for sure. Thanks for a very relaxing video.
While not being a huge wine drinker and doing very little tasting on the day, I would be far from and expert to give advice. To me a cheap bottle of wine most times is as nice as an expensive bottle, not what people want to hear 🙃🙃

Lovely area to explore.
Sure is.
You are in my Home community - the Barossa & I still live here! ❤
One of the best places in SA.👍
Great work guys as usual very informative
I also loved the 5 litre drum of muscat you are the man
The 5 litres will last some time.
Nearly 45 years ago, I was in Tanunda. I tasted the best Riesling I have ever drunk. Wow, everything has changed in Australia.
Nothing stands still anymore, things are always changing.

Glad you liked the video Chris, enjoy the red.
Finally, I have been to Jacob's creek, was on my list of things to do before.......🤪. Cheers mate, have a drink on me.
Cheers Hans 🍾🍾
Great video. Love the old buildings. You did a great job capturing that on camera.
The buildings all differ and that is some of what makes them so nice.
Another good video Mick, there's a winery that I frequent occasionally called Bethany's, they have Fronti (White Port), it's close to Tununda.
Thanks Peter, will have to check out Bethany's next time we are up that way.
Great video, enjoyed it a lot!
Just a small correction, it's Nurioot-pa not Nurioop-ta
Cheers, keep up the good work!
Glad you liked the video Willie, thanks for the correction as well 👍
Although I'm in WA and we have some great wine regions here! I'll admit Barossa Valley is number 1
You have the Margaret River wine region which is an excellent spot to visit as well, we loved it there.
Cheers from a local.🍷
Hope I got it all correct for you locals.👍
@@justcruisinwithmicksally837 that was spot on. Excellent video and commentary...Thank you.

Geez Mick 5 litres of Muscat ! I will stick with the McLaren Vale Shiraz, Do you carry a Coffee machine i see the coffee's in the wine shot ?
Yes we carry a coffee machine with us, I drink more of that than muscat 😄😄

Not too sure about crowd numbers, we don't spend very much time in the area to know what normal would be.
Wine tasting gets expensive!
Sure does.
Comments on wine would have been interesting
