- In this video, we cover and talk about a full departure brief, starting in the briefing room and checking through the operational flight plan (OFP) and charts as is done in real life pointing out tips and tricks I use to ensure there wont be any surprises along the way.

I’ve been meaning to look for a video like this for a while! Great job!
Thank you for going into detail, I needed this so I can fully understand the brief :D
Glad it was helpful!
Really enjoyed this one - very useful! Thanks as always.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Captain, could you preform one time during a live stream a single engine taxi procedure just to see how it would be in real flights
Certainly. In fact we did it earlier this week when we departed Lisbon.
Awesome, I will take a look back ad this thy captain you're the best @@Easyjetsimpilot
Awesome thank you. I really struggle with VOR approaches. Do you have a tutorial on those? Thanks again
very interresting video for learning
Thank you 🤗
Does the fenix a320 ever go on sale?
It never has done, but for £50 it is already an amazing price for what you get.
Super good explanation before departure. Question, if you have to add extra fuel after OFP is generated, will it be necessary to go back into simbreif and update the weight of the extra fuel so that TOW and LW are recalculated - or how to do 🙂
No, if you throw on extra fuel, the OFP isn't altered. You'll get your new TOW in the INIT B page.
aaahhhaaa yes, that's right. The final weight is calculated at the end in the MCDU. Thanks. And have a nice weekend@@Easyjetsimpilot
hey, which layout are you using for the ofp?
EZY layout.
thanks!@@Easyjetsimpilot
Nice tutorial once again. Thanks a lot.
That’s not the case but if we had high mountains around the departure airport, as we don’t have a climb performance calculator, if SID requires a 5º climb gradient, is it fine to check just the MCDU flight plan and confirm how high will we be over each problematic point? Is there any other way to check/calculate this?
Thanks. Best regards
The EOSID should account for this. With 2 working engines, the climb gradient would be fine.
thanks@@Easyjetsimpilot
How do you make the ofp look like this because when I open the ofp on my Fenix it doesn’t look the same? For example I don’t see tropo or crz fl and the general file is diferent
I use the EZY OFP layout. You can select this in simbrief.
Ok cool 👍So I’ve been out of the hobby for about 8 years and am getting back into it. I have a new MSFS2020 Premium Deluxe 40th Anniversary build and bought the Fenix this morning. I use to run real world Company Routes in the PMDG’s back in the day .. but don’t remember where I got them, so for the Phoenix where do I find Company Routes or OFP’s and how do I import them so the Fenix can read em? Also what other software will I need to get to be able to do flights as you do them? We didn’t have many real line pilots doing this as a hobby back in the day so this channel is a real treat! I’ve learned so much already just lurking on your live streams recently and REALLY appreciate all you do for us 👍 Thanks!
You'll need a simbrief account. It is free. Check out the channel for Simbrief tutorial 👍
@@Easyjetsimpilot Roger that Capt .. Thanks! 👍
PLOG fuel…..oh you company man you! 😉🤣
Your voice fluctuation is mostly at lower tones towards the end of your speech, could you please remain constant. I always have to rewind to catch what you're trying to get across. Thank you. Please if this comes across as rude It's not intended.
