One of the Best... Living legend for sure
I'm 75 years old and the "Jango/Mountain Time makes me cry every f'in play. I have many of his albums over last 10 years and some of Beth Hart's Joe doesn't keep me alive but I sure know I am alive when he's playing.
The 'LIVE from the Albert Hall" triple album is without doubt the finest live album EVER recorded...A Masterpiece
Joe is 1 of the best guitar players playing today. He can play any style of music and sounds great with acoustic too. He's from Utica, New York. Like some other comments you should check out Joe with Beth Hart "I'll take care of you".
HELL YEAH !!! 😍😍😍
My hometown!
I think this is the Royal Albert Hall London?
🤟
You guys do realize he is one of the GOATS, right? He opened for BB King at age 14! All I can tell you is keep on with your musical journey.
Wow! Joe Bonamassa. I love all his stuff. He's normally a blues-rock god, but also plays hard rock with the group Black Country Communion. He dabbles in jazz funk with the group Rock Candy Funk Party. His stuff with Beth Hart is phenomenal (she is a very talented artist on her own). A couple of my favorites are from the "Live at the Greek Theatre" album, "Hummingbird", and "Angel of Mercy".
You can't go wrong with Joe!
One of my 3 favorite songs in whole world, mountain time, pink floyd, time, and Boston, foreplay, long time, this guy is one of the best,
Good choice He is a blues legend
He's an incredible guitarist with a guitar collection of over 400 guitars. I've seen him a few times. As someone said earlier...check out him and Beth Hart...OMG, what a voice she has!
Love this guy.. I started listening and watching him back when he was a kid.. it has been fun to watch him grow to be considered one the top players
Definitely agree. Joe and Derek Trucks are two of the best in the business.
Use to go see him at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, Southern California. Very small venue and the cost? $20.
Yes, I have seen videos of him playing when he was about 10 if I remember correctly. He was very good at a young age.
this song is like dancing close, looking into the eyes of someone that you just can't live without to the point of sadness, elation, pain and joy.
This is the best comment about this song because you just summed it all up in those few words and it's exactly what I would listen to with my Very Beautiful Everything that's just entered my world and turned a very dark time in my life completely around and I am still Trying to grasp how God brought this Wonderful Beautiful Amazing Lady into my life . I had known her for a few years and we both knew that it was there but circumstances at the time just wasn't what me or her could control. And she moved without telling me where or when she even left . I always wondered about her and I had looked at Facebook so many times trying to find her profile and about 3 months ago it just came out of nowhere and I literally lost it for a little while . And when I read just a little bit about some things she had posted....I sent my friend request and within a hour maybe she was sending me messages and the rest is history ! I Absolutely Love her beyond anything I've ever had in my life . She's just that person that you know is the exact one that you are destined to spend the rest of your life with and so far we plan on doing just that ! So Thank you Joe Bonamassa and I guarantee you that my Baby will enjoy this song as much as I do and everyone else does .
His album with Beth Hart is phenomenal! Check out their Ill Take Care of You or I'd Rather Go Blind cover.
Awesome song. Beth and Joe are such a force together. Love it.
I know right 💕💕💕
Huge Joe fan. Seen him 6 times met him twice. Great player, great person, tours with 1959 Les Paul's, original flying v's, original explorers. He is the real deal!
You really have to check out the songs Joe Bonamassa did with Beth Hart. Great reactions btw
Love Joe! He has something close to 25 albums. Check out the whole concert! AMAZING! He had turned 32, 4 days before this.
I love this song I just lost my beautiful wife of 20 years to breast cancer this hits my soul so hard someday maybe I’ll see on that mountain
This is what you get when you put the best of the best musicians together. PERFECTION.
I dont know if i already committed but this song was part of the encore so he'd already sung his heart. But love this soft sound too. This is at his 1st of 4 concerts at Royal Albert Hall❤
The mighty Anton Fig on drums. Legend.
Yep, the House drummer for the David Letterman show.
Reese Wynans on keys from Stevie Ray Vaughan
Carmine Rojas on bass is absolutely killer too! He’s played with everyone from Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Tina Turner, Billy Joel and Peter Framton in addition to his gigs touring with Joe! Always tasteful and exquisite!
This guy constantly sells out his shows with zero radio support. This guy is incredible
he has one of the best managers in the business
HAPPIER TIMES FROM THE SAME CONCERT IS A MUST! Those two drummers lay it down on this song and the base player OMG. Gotta do a reaction to this song.
You need to see his video from Nerdville! The man is a guitar and amplifier collector. I've seen him three times so far and was blown away! He grew up about 60 miles from me...and played in my area when he was 12! Great video.
This is from arguably his signature breakout show, the one that really put him on everybody’s radar. Despite his improvements as a vocalist this remains my favorite of all his performances of this song. Love watching people become Bonamassa fans!
I can hardly believe you have not come across Joe - he is a total legend!
That was just one in a show lasting over 2 hours, and you know you've made it when you sell out the Royal Albert Hall and have Eric Clapton as a guest in your show!
You absolutely must check out his work with Beth Hart.
Listen to everything by Joe please.. I recommend his song Sloe Gin 🎸🔥
Live at Red Rocks🤘
Fun fact: Sloe Gin was originally a sadder, more harrowing song done by Tim Curry in the late 70s. I actually prefer Bonamassa's version which feels less "dark."
Sloe Gin helped cure my depression. I'm not joking. I listened to that song 8-10 times a day for a month. I have no idea why but it worked
Sloe Gin smolders
First time seeing 👀 you guys, I loved the way she was taken into the tune when she started headwaving and he had a smile that just got bigger and bigger. You guys are down for the ride so I took it with you. Joe Bonamassa is one of the best guitar players to ever walk this earth 🌎. I have a bunch of his works and a guitar with his signature hanging on my wall. He's Great and so are all the artists he works with. Thanks for doing this
Joe is great and always surrounds himself with the very best players! Lucky to have seen him in a smaller venue a couple times and didn’t disappoint 👏🏼
FINALLY!!!! Someone reacting to JB and this performance in general. I discovered JB by accident at a Best Buy when they sold lots of dvds and his dvd fell on my foot as I looked for a new artist to just explore. Lo and behold Joe found me. I watched this concert and I was blown away by his whole concert. It truly is a great work of art and I’ve been a fan every since. I was also shocked at how far back he goes and how different his style has changed, but everything he’s been doing is an experience. I’m just happy there’s reactors finally listening and watching him for the first time. I hope they keep going.
Agree with all you said. Just discovered him. Thanks to UA-cam
@@patdumont532 check out his early work and his concert at Rockpalast. He’s more raw and a little more rock than blues, but still shows off his talent
I couldn't agree with you more... he's beyond amazing and I would rank him in my top 5 best guitarist that they are and my opinion doesn't matter but If I know anything...I know what a Guitarists is and what a real guitarist really is and he's simply in a league of his own and to hear him talk he's one of the best guys I've ever seen . Just so humble and gives everything he's got no matter what . Him and Beth Hart blew me away so bad that I actually lost sleep because I couldn't get there songs and music off of my mind and I drove everyone around me that would listen completely crazy 😂 And I haven't changed one bit .
One of Joe's best songs
...and his bands are a collection of superb musicians
If this is the first time, your barely scratching the surface, explore, he can play anything, and does....
The best Joe Bonamassa song. And the best performance of it right here! Great choice
This concert was magical. Buy the cd.
I went and saw him in concert at a music hall and it ranks in my top 5 concerts of all time. Joe Bonamassa is an extreme badass on guitar. Look him up when he was 13 playing with a southern rock band ! It will blow your mind how good he is !
Simple... Poignant... Beautiful. I wish all his critics We're just shut up for a minute...And Listen...
He was inspired by Eric Clapton from the band Cream. We think a lot of this bloke in the UK.He plays a great cover of Deep Purple's Lazy.
Yes he does and Jimmy Barnes absolutely kills it in every way possible . That's Jimmy Barnes though and that's just what he does 😂
Thanks, I really enjoy your reactions. Lovely couple. Muchas bendiciones!
One of the most mellow tunes i've ever heard him do
Joe is world class!
The joy in your faces is lovely to see. I looked the same when i first heard this
Some great songs to check out from this show! Bonamassa is the only modern day blues legend for me, suggestions.. woke up dreaming, further on up the road(featuring Eric Clapton), Sloe Gin, the ballad of John Henry, Just got paid, start off with Django though.. wow!
This is the 1st time I saw Joe play a PRS guitar. It sounds great. I love mine
It is Musicman not PRS
You don’t get to the Royal Albert Hall unless you’re GREAT! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I have many of Joe’s songs in my iPod but this one got me. So much so I bought the whole album. It is so good. Thanks guys! I love your reactions .
Joe is amazing! I have seen him in concert several times, and each time is better that the previous. He keeps getting better! And he always has the most amazing performers with him, each being world class in their own right. The bassist is Michael Rhodes, "the most recorded bassist in Nashville history" . The drummer with the beret is Antone Fig, who was with Paul Shaffer's "Late Show" band for over 20 years. He has since retired. I don't recognize this keyboardist, but his usual keyboardist on tour is legendary Reese Wynans, formerly with Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble. You can see in this video how he has that entire audience in the palm of his hand from the very beginning.
He's one of the best
Just like floating on a white fluffy cloud
Joe is a special blues and rock guitarist. He can play the blues and rock hard as well. Check out his work the super group Black Country Communion with former Deep Purple and Black Sabbath singer/bassist Glen Hughes, Jason Bonham (son of Led Zeppelin's John Bonham) on drums and keyboardist Derek Sherinian (he's been with a few bands as well). Black Country Communion plays some good old fashioned 70's style hard rock. So, whether it's solo, with BCC or with Beth Hart he is something else.
The lyric "She's as wild as Eagles, She's as sweet as Honysuckles" nearly made me cry.
I’ve seen him do this twice. It’s like a religious experience. Absolutely amazing talent and shows. I highly recommend seeing him. This song was written for him by the guy who wrote the song for the movie Titanic.
Sorry Suzie my first with you...What a soulful melodic flow this song has...Joe is awesome
Joe Bonamassa is one of the most underrated Blues guitarist of our time! I've listened to his journey for awhile now, he does not disappoint! My favorite rendition of this song, Mountain Time, is on his 2009 album, Beacon Theatre, Live from New York. Give it a listen!
Joe is AWESOME! ♥️🎼🎶🎵🇨🇦
I absolutely love this song .
I've watched a bunch of different versions of this song and this is hands down the best one ! So so good and if this doesn't touch you and move you.....I don't know what's wrong with you but you certainly have some things to sort out 😂
Welcome to the amazing talents of Joe Bonamassa - when time permits look up his Live at the Vienna Opera House - you won't be disappointed. I've seen him 3 times now in the last 5 years and will go see him again you can rest assured.
It would be nice if I had my own special lady to enjoy such a epic experience from Joe Bonamassa Mountain Time. For now I have my sweet furry family member Fossie Mae who is a long haired tuxedo cat haha. 😂 to enjoy the moment. Joe’s music reaches the soul.
Listen to his version live at the Beacon Theater. He never plays this song the same way twice; a true experience every time.
A masterpiece!
Loved the song and great reaction! You've got to see him live someday if you get the chance. And just so you know - his last name is actually pronounced "bon-ah-moss-uh".
Just saw Joe Bonamassa in Columbia and this song was his encore. Perfect way to end a righteous show
He’s the bomb
He opened for bb king when he was 12
Love Joe! Thank you for introducing me to someone new to me. Awesome arrangement off the chart musicians. Love you guys back!
Have seen him 3 times..always a treat
Yeah Joe's strong suit
is that he is a very talented guitar player who can play just about any kind of music he wants and luckily for us old school blues fans he really likes old school blues a is quickly becoming the "king" of blue eyed blues 😊😅😮😢😂 and this song" on the mountaintop shows his talents on a kind of song that's not old school blues but it still allows him a chance to show off his talents and abilities as a great guitar player 😊😅😮😢😂❤😂😊❤😊❤
1979 SD Badlands riding a old HD SHOVEL. there was no music but this is what the wind sounded like
Happier Times is my favorite Albert Hall song of his
"Woke up Dreaming" and "Angel of Mercy" are my 2 very favorite songs of Joes'
I know this is an older reaction but a couple of things.
-This is actually two different songs India/Mountain Time. India is his instrumental start and Mountain Time was co-written with Will Jennnings, known for My Heatrt Will Go On (Celine) and co-wrote Tears in Heaven with Eric Caption. And a ton more
- That second drummer you saw was Bogie Bowles who was Joe's original drummer before Joe blew up. Bogie left Joe because the touring Joe does is insane and Bogie wanted to start a family. Joe invited him to Royal Albert Hall concerts out of friendship and love from the days when they were playing a couple hundred shows per year and they dreamed of Royal Albert.
-I have seen Joe a few times and my favorites were when it was just a 4-piece band. He is bigger and even better payer now with a bigger production but this song goes back to the earliest days. Try catching it on a his Live at Shepherds Bush album. Still my favorite album of Joe's/
That was his opening song to his show imagine what the rest of the show was like
This is the second version he has done of this song. The first one is on his 1st or 2nd album. Which I like better. I saw him when his first album came out. His first few albums are definitely blue/rock. I own everything he has done and have seen him many times. Never a bad show. I really like how the two of you appreciate all kinds of music. From Joe and Beth to Band Maid and beyond. ✌️🤘
FYI - the little bit at the beginning is actually a song called "Django" and when there's that little pause and he takes a quick bow, that's when it ends and "Mountain Time" begins.
This is actually two songs melded into one. The first part is played to sound like a sitar and I think it is called "India" or "Kashmir", while the second part, where it turns over into country/blues/rock is "Mountain Time." Joe Bonamassa is just something else on a guitar. 🎸🎸🎸
Glad to see you have discovered Joe. I agree with everyone about Joe and Beth together. If no one has suggested it yet I will through out there one my favorite Joe performances is "Just Got Paid' at Royal Albert Hall.
2 really prominent Joe Bonamassa songs are "Angel of Mercy" and "Woke up Dreaming" also cover of zz top live at royal Albert hall Joe Bonamassa Just got paid/dazed and confused
Guys check out Joe performing Angel of Mercy from the Greek Theatre......it’s a lot heavier than his usual blues/rock sound and he absolutely kills that Flying V!!
Awesome
This whole concert is fantastic. There is even a guest showing of the great Eric Clapton in this concert.
woo hoo i was at this very concert in the top tier on the royal alert hall
I've been a fan of Joe since his first album in 2000. He has 14 studio albums, 17 live albums and 3 with Beth Hart. He also has 4 albums with the fusion band Rock Candy Funk Party and 5 albums with the heavy rock band Black Country Communion... and I have every one of them. He's ranked as the #1 Blues artist. May I suggest you react to Cadillac Assembly Line live from the Greek Theater... and one more thing... easiest way to piss off a Bonamassa fan is to interrupt one of his solos... but you're new to Joe so we'll excuse you this time. 8>)
Bogie Bowles and Anton Figg on drums. See them play in perfect syncronisation on Just Got Paid from the same concert.
Brilliant. Was at this gig at the Albert Hall. Stunning performance. Have to say though the live version from Live From Nowhere In Particular tops it
Joe Bonamassa is a child prodigy who at the age of 13 was opening for B.B. King. He also self finances his shows, he rents the halls and eliminates the promoters. He beat the record companies by self producing and recording.
You really should check out Sloe Gin, Blues Deluxe and Just Got Paid from the same concert albums. I was introduced to him on my first date night with my dear late wife. We ordered a pizza and started scrolling through the cable guide to find something to watch and discovered his Live From The Royal Albert Hall on AXSTV. We were blown away to say the least!! Nothing but bangers from start to finish!!
Eeeeeee YAAAAAAAYYYY
Joe along with Kenny Wayne Shepard were the next gen Guitar Hero's after the 80's fade away and then Grunge save of rock and blues guitar. They are both the master class players of today.
This video was filmed at Royal Albert Music Hall, London,England
He did an acoustic concert at Carnegie Hall. The DVD is well worth watching
Anton Figg was the resident drummer on the David Letterman show.
Bonamassa tours a lot, at least he did before COVID. I highly recommend checking him out live when things return to semi-normalcy next year. I've seen him and it was incredible.
You have to be a top artist to even play the Royal Albert Hall
To see him really jam, try Just Got Paid live
My mate Jack Brock cousin Sandy Thom dated him for a while. I believe that Joe had throat problems and needed a vocalist for a gig. Sandy was the lucky one and then they got together. Jack says that he is a really great down to earth guy.x
Jack is my mate from back in the day and like Steven Blair we have many a wild night. Steven has travelled to New York from our wee town Crieff in Scotland to see Joe. He is one massive fan. I was going to see Joe just as Covid hit and everything shut down......sooo pissed.
Check out Joe Bonamassa with Eric Clapton - "Further On Up the Road." Great guitar work.
Gotta love Joey B!
Check out the studio version of midnight in Harlem. It's by the tediche trucks band.
Carmine Rojas (bass) is bad ass - his power knocked out a complete channel at one gig I was at. I miss the drummer Bogie Boles though - he had a real Bonham vibe. Joe B is stunning though - look for Woke Up Dreaming - acoustic guitar that will leave you open-mouthed
Say what you will about Joe being ‘unoriginal’ in that many of the songs he plays are covers, but I’ll be damned if this isn’t one of the single finest musical performances you’ll see in a lifetime. It’s absolutely extraordinary.
Chantel McGregor does a great version of Joe's Mountain Time.( The Old Tramshed version is best quality) Please watch both parts, especially part 2 , right to the end.
Check out "Hummingbird" from Live at the Greek. It gives me chills every time I hear/watch it.
