My favorite guitar player is my Dad. He is 73 and teaching himself to play so he can jam with me when we can finally see each other when the pandemic is over.
This was so wholesome I came from from the future to tell you how awesome that is :)

Did you jam?
We did get together and jam. When he showed up he gifted me Gibson Les Paul Standard. He was able to visit for a few days. We played, talked gear & shared music. Great times. Since then, in a sad twist of fate, he had an accident with a table saw and can't play anymore. That was the only chance we had to play our guitars together, but it is a great memory that I am thankful to have.

His tone, expression, & note selection are unmatched. Every solo is memorable note for note.
Hard to beat the DGT for all around playability. Loved the necks and the trems are perfect.

My dad is my favorite guitar player of all time, even when I couldn't hear him play. He went away too soon, I was 6. Now 10 years later my mom decided to follow him... I pray and play for them
I'm sorry you've lost them both. My mom died about 10 years ago. I still think about her at the strangest times. When I lose dad, it's going to be pretty tough. Prayers for you and yours, and like Dan B said, we will see them again one day.

My condolences, the loss of loved ones is one of those tragic milestones in life that you are never ready for - Mom passed in 1984 around my 19th birthday and Dad in 1994, wife passed this year. Time helps heal the wounds of their end of life on this earth. Keep good memories in mind and be thankful for the time you did have with them (sad for the people that it happens to when they are very young).

Chris Buck is kind of mediocre but he would be a lot better if he would just learn a few new tricks and stop overusing all his old ones. What I mean is, he sounds ok but he just plays the same fucking thing every time
