Seven years have passed since this video was posted. I Can only hope that you two very talented singers are still going strong and are thrilling folks with your beautiful renditions of the American songbook, especially the works of Stephen Sondheim.
I've watched this many times and never commented. I know Matt since he was a 7th grader singing in the school play. You could tell he was different, exceptional. How beautifully he developed.
This piece is magnificent. Kristen is amazing and so beautiful. What a joy to watch this couple.
And congrats to you Ms. Res for surviving Trump. Brava!

It’s funny. Listening to this, it’s good. But then when you listen to Sinatra sing “Good Thing Going” you realize just how great Frank Sinatra really is!!

What’s wrong with performing another persons arrangement? It is not a crime and they did a marvelous job

@@joelweisberg it's fairly common now to blend two songs together in cabaret but it wasn't in the early 1990s when the late Nancy Lamott did these two songs together - as arranged by her musical director Christopher Marlowe who came up with such amazing arrangements for Ms Lamott - you can probably find her original version here on UA-cam
@@joegotham27 I thought it was a fine arrangement. The blending of those two favorites of mine was to put it mildly, cool. I’ve been a Chicago pianist/singer for 40 yrs. The pandemic put me into retirement at 76. I have one video on UA-cam check it out. Enter the following, Joel Barry sings Nessun Dorma.
