It's 20 degrees here today and I'm sitting against an ice pack taking care of a very sore back. I was feeling a bit blue when I decided to look on UA-cam. Your lovely Vlog popped up in my feed and seeing blue sunny skies and green plants made my day a bit cheerier. I've decided to look through my potted gardening books and look ahead to spring. Thanks for the inspiration. Funny how the Internet brings inspirations from Hawaii to Philadelphia. Thanks!
Hey Christine, I am a 15 year old from Scotland and I just wanted to say that I absolutely love your home decor and gardening videos. Pls keep posting more as you have done and thank you for giving us the pleasure of watching them
Hi Christine, love how informative, well filmed your video are. I always happy when u post new videos, absolutely one of my favorite girls EVER on UA-cam.
I love watching your videos. They're so calming and fun to watch. I'm tired of the cold winter so I live through your videos and your beautiful sunshine! Thanks for posting another one! Your DIY's are so inspiring so I'm looking forward to another one of those. 8)
One of a few folks that I can watch vlog from beginning to end without having to fast forward! Love your tone, pace and how well you explain and give details. I would love if you could do a regular series dedicated to everything gardening. That would be exciting! Keep up the great work! Love from Miami.
Oh yes, that's what makes us deeply happy I feel. Before I watched your wonderful vlog, I went for a walk, everything is covered in snow, it is quite slippery. But I enjoyed it a lot and even discovered a yard with four donkeys :D in our village. And it made me so happy!
Love, love, love your Cottage Living videos. Sitting here in chilly NC thinking of how nice it must be to live in paradise in such a cute little place surrounded by your adorable garden!
That was really interesting about the Manuka Honey, I had no idea that was where it originates. Last year I really wanted to plant a small vegetable garden in our back yard but we chickened out and now I am feeling more confident about it after watching how well you plantings have done. I really enjoy these Cottage Living Vlogs. xo Lynette
Oh you should!! Orchids are so lovely and some can stay in bloom for months! Phalaenopsis are widely available, though they don't have much of a fragrance but they are bursting with color and easy to care for. :)
I absolutely love your garden vlogs, milkweed is what the monarch was loving here, to think they are know on the endangered species list breaks my heart!...I would love to meet Patricia Bragg, and thank you so much for showing the New Zealand Tea Rose (I love bees)...your channel is so interesting and informative...watching you and your hubby share the same passions is a beautiful thing:)....xoxo
Thanks for sharing that clip with Patricia Bragg. She reminds me of my Aunt Jackie, whom I miss dearly. Really enjoyed your out n about vlog, and gardening bits!
YAY Michael for your choice of fragrance-free detergent. Wish it were mandatory as I'm basically a "bubble person" -- VERY chemically sensitive & even the smallest exposure to the toxic chemicals that synthetic fragrances & dyes in most products have nearly cost me my life many times; long story/former research chemist, where corporate employees were seen as expendables. I'm the only one still alive from the research projects our team was on -- back in 1977. I would not be had I not been forced to choose a much less toxic environment, in every category. I'm so glad you too have chosen a less toxic life.
Ahhh, so refreshing, thank you. Sweet time hanging out shopping, planting, gardening, spending time with you and Michael. Would love to be neighbors. Thank you, please keep them coming, love the house/garden/food, follow you to work....oh yeah and beauty with lovely Christine! God bless you..... PS. Still loving all my jewels from you!
Your garden looks great with all the different plants! I have a few plants in my bedroom...one is a white orchid. She will get flowers soon. I also have a little plant that is as old as I am...almost 26 years! I don't know what sort it is. And one plant I have saved from my friends house haha. I wish we have al little more sun and higher temperatures here in the Netherlands so I can grow more plants in my garden! Love to watch yours! Please keep updating us!
this video was so refreshing to watch. I will def be subscribing. I love gardening and flea markets and not many youtubers do this kind of stuff so great job and content!!!
Michigan here, We are buried in over a foot of snow from a storm yesterday and this video made me feel so much better, Spring is coming soon and I can hardly wait to get out there! Thank you
Love watching your videos! I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and we are currently having our 4th snow/rain/hail storm in 9 days with 2 more on the way before Wednesday :s I've been watching your videos for a little over 2 years now and I love seeing the island and plants. My boyfriends buying a house soon and I'm in charge of the gardening; I can't wait!
The yellow orchid you purchased is beautiful. I have never had a orchid before, I am going to look into getting one. Hopefully I do well with them! Your garden is looking really nice, all your plants are looking healthy. Enjoyed watching, thanks for showing the headboards at Ross, wow what a deal!
So lovely to see Patricia Bragg, I've just bought her apple cider vinegar from iherb, I'm assuming she's a little bit of US history in her family name. Very interesting to see Michael's find in the uranium glass, I've never heard of it before. Bonsai love the be sprayed with water from a little spray bottle either very early morning or late arvo and if their soil is to dry you can sit the pot in a bowl of water so that it soaks the water up from the roots for an hour or so. It wets the soil more thoroughly than top watering. Not all the time, just when it's really dry. Looking forward to seeing that taco perfected :)♥
The plant that the monarch butterflies land on is called milkweed. It is the host plant for monarchs so if you see yellow, black and white caterpillars eating the plant don't kill them.
I LOVE seeing the progress of your garden :) I could really see my boyfriend and myself living a simple cottage life like you guys do. I live in a townhouse now so the only thing I'm growing is basil, but I look forward to having my own garden! Sometimes I buy flowers at the farmers market to brighten up my room.
Good morning Christine, You and Michael are so sweet together. :) I am here in the east and we are having our share of cold and snow so it was quite a treat to go on your Cottage Living, home and garden vlog. Yes to a video re: Michael's vegan tacos. xo, Cowgirl Deb
Love Cottage Living!! Very inspirational! Your garden is beautiful!! I planted cat grass and garlic a few weeks ago to give my aloe and spider plants some company - They are doing okay so far indoors, but I can't wait for spring to get them outside in the sunshine!
I LOVE to watch your home and garden vlogs. It's sooo nice to see people enjoying actual life than only clothes and makeup. I think that's the real happiness ! Also, is beautiful to see that all these times you are spending with your husband. Your life is amazing and is very contagious. I wish I could have the same life. Don't ever change your life style. ps. Can you please do an Invisalign update? :)
Ya totally left us hanging with the taco..LOL. was it yummy? It sure looked good..ur videos keep me inspired.. baby steps. Im officially off soda. Havent had coke in over 2 months. Ya me!

Watching your vlogs ALWAYS makes me want to move to Maui! The weather is great, the people seem nice and it's quiet (not like where I live). I am so jealous :P
I was watching some of your old videos on Sunday and I was missing your follow me around vlogs....enjoyed thoroughly! The hydrangea you were looking at would grow fine in your back yard if it would not get the evening sun.
I love these vids. It makes me feel as if I'm right there with you for a short period of time. TJ Maxx is one of my favorite stores!! Target is a close second. Thank you for sharing!
Your videos are so relaxing for me to watch. I always learn new things and get inspired to make or plant stuff. I just googled the habitat for humanity store & found out we have one in our local area. Yay! Thank you for sharing parts of your life with us. :)
So fun to see Patricia Bragg. Boy she looks fabulous and I can't believe she's never worn a bra! That plant the butterfly likes might be a clivia, although its odd it would be in a wildflower mix as they are expensive plants. Its been fun to watch your gardening interest grow.
This vlog is exactly what I needed to watch in this cold & snowy weather here right now in Ohio. Christine, are you selling or giving away some of that tiny hot/chili peppers? My sister who lives in Kahana gateway might want some of that....I am so ready to move back to the islands, probably on Oahu since most of folks are there, but I love Maui since it is more laid back.
Christrine..loved seeing the beautiful orchids..I have 2 but I do not know how to take care of them..I am reading up on it..Was happy to see Patricia Bragg..I love the Braggs vinegar and use it all the time...xoxo Loretta
I always look forward to your videos. A true subscriber I am to you! :) I love watching the warm weather you have.. especially since we just had a snow blizzard in Wisconsin yesterday. Yeah for your new future Target and TJMax. :)

I love this! It seriously makes me want to move. Right now we covered in snow in Michigan. I have been growing hibiscus, hardy banana, christmas catus, aloe vera, herbs, and a passion vine indoors since fall. I love orchids but they are so expensive up here and so limited up here. So sad, but this video brightened my day
