Hi friends ♥ I hope that you all had a WONDERFUL holiday weekend and feel refreshed for the week ahead!
Continue to do you. I am a runner as well. I like your channel because you are NORMAL and authentic. Do you. 😇
@@TravelerSanna thank you so much 💗 running definitely has its fair share of good and bad days haha
70’s music, some 60’s too: Leon Russell, Traffic, Blind Faith, Pet Sounds from The Beach Boys, Smile, I think The Beach Boys, Cat Stevens huge selling album, forget the name, The Band!!!, Music from Big Pink, Stage Fright and the other Band album with a brown cover. Jimi Hendrix, all of his records.
Gail, you’re doing a great job at representing healthy ways of living, and positive ways of thinking about yourself and others. As someone a little older, I see you as a credit to your Millennial generation.
And your love of Lucky 🍀 Charms in NO contradicts any of this.
I do from time to time search for and follow channels for their "just moved in" content, most i eventually drop when they get back to their regular content. But sometimes something about the person and channel clicks, and i keep subscribing. You seem grounded, relatable, bring good energy. I have no interest in jet setting, superspending, salesy, trendy channels. Your kind of channel is what i prefer. Where the essence is what your life looks like, real life, is what you bring, thats the charm.
This is such a kind compliment, thank you so much for sticking around ♥️
You are not boring at all, I like when your videos come out. You're very chill, and that helps me wind down after some chaotic days. Keep being you! You're doing great.
So happy to hear this - thank you for watching!
Your fine . Your not boring .you do positively energy, you being real
Well my Memorial Day started with the handle on my toilet breaking off and falling IN the toilet as I was flushing it….. the day just went down hill from there so I decided to watch your video and that made my day a little brighter….thank you.
Oh no! I'm happy to have brought a little light into your day - I hope the toilet is an easy fix!
Don't kid yourself that other NYC vloggers are more interesting than you. The ones I see sit around their apartments banging on about their anxiety but claim to have "chaotic" lives. Most of the time, they never leave their apartments. Take us out into the city now and then, that's why we watch. To live vicariously in a city we may or may not have been to.
I plan to bring ya'll out with me more! There's so much to see
Great vlog Gail, keep doing what you are doing I say - your presentation vibe is very serene and relaxed, I love it!
Thank you so much, Tina!
Carol King’s Tapestry was my first album and I still love it. Fleetwood Mac Rumers and Adele 21 are some of my favorites
Hi Tanya! Yes I also have Tapestry & Rumors - such great albums!!! I'll have to check out the Adele one 🙂
I was just going to say the exact same thing
I look forward to your videos…each week…like my “Wordle” every morning, just a few minutes out of my day that I can just sit back and be a part, but not have to actively participate. You are my weekly Wordle!
Ugh wow - wordle is the best, so thank you for the comparison ☺️
Hey girl. I just got back from five days in the city my friend Amy and I flew out from Salt Lake City and we stayed at a hotel in the Nomad/Flatiron district. We packed a lot in for the first trip in a year and a half. We went to the amazing Broadway show Merrily We Roll Along. First row center tickets that cost a fortune we purchased last December. Totally worth it amazing show. I also entered the lottery and won 2 tickets to Moulin Rouge. Those were great seats and a fun show as well. Being an artist I was eager to check out Art so we spent a couple of days at the MET. Went to Brooklyn to the Botanic Garden and to Coney Island on Saturday. Hit up the Bryant Park area Makers Market on Sunday. Ate some yummy food and walked through Central Park on Sunday and I looked for you. Maybe next time we come I could meet up with you. I’d love to give you a painting.
Sounds like you had a wonderful, jam-packed couple of days! I saw Merrily a few weeks ago and LOVED it! Jealous that you were right in the front!
I ❤️ collecting old school records. I like your collection of records. 😊
Thank you 🥰
Continue being your authentic self, and that is plenty in my book. I enjoy the basic days of an average persons life. And you’re adorable and witty.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Oh thank you very much! ♥️
One of my favorites is really any album from Linda Ronstadt. She’s great if you like 70’s music that is! 🤗
Oh and Whitney Houston’s 1985 album. Wildly different recommendations but equally amazing voices!
Oooh fantastic recommendations -- I have a Linda Ronstadt album but not a Whitney (yet 😉)
Agreed. I have had every album she ever made.
Blue Bayou love that song.
Caril King Tapestry album…and anything by James Taylor..i especially love October Roads
You shouldn't compare yourself to others because you are uniquely you and that means only you can bring your full self to us your audience. Just keep being you.🥰🤗🥰🤗.
💓💓💓
Just by being you, makes your vlog interesting. I enjoy seeing another down to earth person, just doing their life in NYC.
Glad you enjoy it! 🫶
Hi gail. I'm in my late 40s and I think you're something fresh, just be you it is much more interesting than influencer.
You make me feel like we could be friends and these is why i love your vlogs. I don't want you to work hard for material what you do is enough at least for me.
I never been to NY or the US so i get a bit of taste. ❤
That means so much, thank you!
I’m a vet so I had a very memorial weekend. Your great keep going ……oh and I’m the Fall Queen lol 🧡🧡🌺
Thank you, Susan! ♥️
No worries, you do all the important things in life, and I'm here for it!
Thank you!! ❤️
When you buy fruit like berries of any kind . Don’t wash them and put them in glass jars and put a lid on it they will last a lot longer so when you are ready to eat them just wash them and eat ! Hope this helps 😊
Thanks for the tip!
Enjoy every little bit of sunshine! I'm an autumn girl and I can't take much heat but I can't argue that it doesn't make everything so chill and happier.
I also LOVE the fall! I think autumn and summer are tied for my favorite season 🙂
You have such a pleasant personality and your videos are drama-free, lol! Nice change from some UA-camrs that are so self-involved!
Idk what kind of music you like, but here are a few classic timeless albums any serious music lover ought to be exposed to!
Dark Side of the Moon
-Pink Floyd
Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars
-David Bowie
(or ANYthing by Bowie!)
Aqualung
-Jethro Tull
Pearl
-Janice Joplin
The Low Spark of High Heel Boys
-Traffic
I could go on but you’ll have enough suggestions to get through!
Looking forward to your next video. Thank you!
So happy you're enjoying the videos ♥️ LOVE these music recommendations -- I'll check them out!
@@theregoesgailGreat! I do hope you’ll have a listen to something by Bowie. He has 26 albums (plus more that are compilations) and has done MANY styles of music! He and Lou were also very close for decades.
Anyway I’m here to say I’ve now watched every video you’ve made and can no longer avoid my huge project of my walk-in master bedroom closet organization! It’s been hanging over me for nearly a year and it just gets worse!
I hope to make it out alive.
Dress with the bows was super cute on you. There wasn't a dud in the bunch you showed. Must have felt great coming home to your stylish, neat apartment. 👌
Thank you so much, Bonnie!!
I like the dress with the bows and it looks really nice on her, Love the Sunglasses.
Thanks so much ☺️
Cannot go wrong with that blue / green ... the square neck bowed dress looks terrific, keep it! ace for humid summer day ...
Thank you!
Keep on being you! Looking forward to seeing those sub numbers go up, up, up! 👍
thank you, KP ♥️ one can hope!
If you like the kind of jazz that fellow in the park was playing, check out vintage albums by Stan Getz. Amazing jazz saxophonist, just the most beautiful and slightly melancholy tone. I've recently been playing Frank Sinatra's collab album with Brazilian bossa nova songwriter Antonio Carlos Jobim. It's INCREDIBLE. Another old favorite of mine is Hounds of Love by Kate Bush. (Although her albums The Dreaming and The Red Shoes are also wonderful.) My favorite Ella Fitzgerald album is a lesser known one from the 1950s called Like Someone In Love. So romantic and beautiful. Linda Ronstadt-wise, Heart Like A Wheel, Hasten Down The Wind and Simple Dreams are just perfect. Lastly--I've been helping an old friend sell off some of his record collection. He has a number of 1980s-era compilation albums, some put out by Fantasy Records of Berkeley, which bought out and reissued some older, 50s-era labels like Stax Records. These old R&B and soul recordings are amazing! I've fallen in love with the singers Clyde McPhatter, Little Willie John, Barbara Lewis and Esther Phillips (who recorded a gloriously dirty version of "Hound Dog" before Elvis did!) I love the old doo wop groups from the 50s too, like the Platters, the Moonglows and the Ravens. Gorgeous vintage music. On a slightly more modern note lol, I've been enjoying the band America's greatest hits recently while road-tripping. "Horse With No Name" goes great with the Midwestern plains! 🙂
Such gems in this comment!!
Your apartment moving series brought me to your You Tube. I love the daily/weekly vlogs. Keep being you.
So happy to hear that they brought you here! ♥️
My favourite NYC UA-camrs are you, Tisha Shresta and Chelsea Callahan. I’m not interested in influencer types. Would rather watch women living everyday lives.
That is a high compliment, thank you so much!
I listen to them as well! Also Michael Janse - but a very diff vibe.
Sticking around and love the direction you are going
Yay! Thank you for being here
The _coussin pour dossier de banc_ worked out well. It looks nice. 💗
Thank you so much! I love how it turned out 🙂
Good shopping!
Thank you for your videos.😊
Thank YOU for supporting!
I have a suggestion of one artist, but two albums. The Gregg Allman Tour, 1974, recorded at Carnegie Hall and Capital Theater and Gregg Allman's Southern Blood, 2017, recorded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Can't pick a "favorite" because they cover the life lived by a gifted musician and singer. Hope you give them a listen and enjoy the music and story.
Thank you for the recommendations! I’ll definitely give them a listen
Hi Gail! I’m really enjoying your videos. Glad you got to visit with family over the holiday weekend. My music preferences are varied. Because of my age i am especially partial to Frankie Valli (always a Jersey Girl), Motown and all the oldies. Way, way before your time. 💕 Chris
Those are all GREAT music choices!! I have Frankie and motown in my record collection ☺️
I love your videos and I really enjoy the many glimpses of life in NYC ❤
Thank you so much! ❤️
If you’re into alt rock, I’d suggest Garbage’s Version 2.0 - that’s one of my favourite albums of all time (it came out in ‘98 when I was in high school). I’m interested in watching the new Amy Winehouse film, too, but I have my reservations. I was in my 20s when she tragically passed away and I remember it as if it was yesterday. Sad times. Her death was SHOCKING. I still can’t believe she’s gone.
I'll give them a listen!! And it's so tragic 😞
Thank you for the movie review. I have Amy’s Back to Black in vinyl but not Frank. I need to listen to it again. As a child of the 70’s I love vinyl but I also love the convenience of streaming music. I also think you bring plenty to the UA-cam table. I love seeing how people live in other parts of the country and other countries. Don’t sell yourself short. Have a great week!
Thank you, Kristy! You should definitely check out Frank 🫶
Hi Gail!!!Nice vlog, your vlog always makes me smile and i like the music ❤❤❤
So happy to hear this!
Love your channel. Keep it going!
Thank you, Debbie! 🫶
Great shopping haul, try tying the bows to the back on the pretty floral dress.
I'll give it a try -- thanks for the recommendation!
Waking Hours by Del Amitri I had this on cassette and was played on the 4hr drive back home to see my parents every few months in the early 90s until I bought a new car and forgot to clear out the console and sold all my favourite music with the Datsun 180b
Oh no!! I’ll give it a listen, but thank you for sharing your story! That happened my parents and their CD collection growing up
Grandkids went to a pool party, I went shopping for my trip to Ireland in August, having a Lupus flare up but it’s all good, hope you had a great weekend
Oh no! I hope the flare subsides -- and a trip to Ireland!! How exciting!
Anything by Etta James, Dolly Parton or Alison Krauss would be my suggestion - I am all about the voice and these ladies have amazing voices 🎶
Yesss I love Dolly and Etta! I've never heard of Alison Krauss -- do you have a favorite song of hers?!
@@theregoesgail - anything really, some of my favourites are Ghost in this House, Simple Love and Jacob’s Dream. I love a story song!
@@tinawhynot8893 I'll check it out!! Thank you 🤗
Love the new dress and the bows are adorable❣️
Thank you!! 💓
Thank you for saying what you did about the film Back to Black. Such a bad representation of Amy. Left me furious. Amy was an amazingly geniune, aware and outspoken person, with immensely raw, real talent. Old soul. Have you seen her clips where she tells interviewers off for being rude or having ego? Love her first interview on the Jonathan Ross talk show (years old now) too. Proper Camden/Londoner through and through. Thank you for another down to earth episode :)
Yes! I've watched sooo many of her interviews! She was a true gem and didn't stand for any bs or Hollywood nonsense. Thank you for watching ♥️
Great vlog...with a bit of everything. Just keep on doing what you're doing, I love how you've relaxed into your vids.
Really can't bear the whole 'influencer' schtick, the majority of people I watch have normal jobs- I'm personally not interested in peeps who spend their time just going to the opening of an envelope 😊
I appreciate you watching! 🫶
Hello I’m living in Australia and I love your channel hugs from. Oz 🩷
Hello 😊 thank you for watching! ♥️
I LOVE your videos
I laughed about the 13 kids comment. It used to sound like so many but now that I have 11 children it doesn’t seem so wild. 😂
11 children, wow!! Hats off to you!
I love your videos . Greetings from Berlin (-: oh and i would recommend Jessica Pratt .
I'll check it out! And oh how I’d love love to return to Berlin!
Good video Gail. It is interesting cause it’s real. Are you allowed to even have one second of a street musician playing a song that is recognizable? I would look into that cause I think the answer might be no.
Hi Amy! Thank you for watching -- I believe if it's a cover it's fine to post!
Lovely clothes!!
Yay! I love them too 🥰
Do you have Lou Reed's Berlin? always worth a listen ... Caroline Says ...
I don’t have that one! I’ll have to give it a listen 🙂
We don’t really consider Memorial Day as a day of pleasure. We reflect on the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedoms… we don’t bbq or have any special gatherings. It would be nice if we did. But having some family members who didn’t make it, it’s a sad day for us. Frankly it’s a tough day….
Sending love ♥️ thank you for your family’s service
I concur.
@@theregoesgail So kind of you.
short on cash/food so I don't bother "showing up".... but I am always open for a phone call & it's a land line so you can't text me either (I hate texting it's a cop out)
I also love a good phone call

Rule no. 1. Don't compare 💗. Keep Calm and Carry On. Love those Neinish Tarts...they're my all time favourite biscuit. (Brown and white with cream and alcoholic jam).
Oh interesting!! I just googled it and they look delicious! These are actually black & white cookies (no filling!)
Cindy lyper id the best .when had hard life and survived
Love Cindy!
I'm getting tired of the "I'm so busy" trope... If people can't make time for other people in their lives, then they are fools. I mean, they DO find the time to waste hours on the web, etc... Sorry for the rant 😃
We are here for the rants! I think it's a balance (which can be hard to find 😅) -- it's so important to take time for the ones you love but also give time back to yourself! I'm still working on the latter haha
stronger than me and what is it about men? are just *chefs kiss* 🤌🏼, i watched the movie and didn’t think that much of it, the documentary was definitely better!
Ugh 10/10 songs 🔥
