Idgaf what people say about Nickelback. I will always love them. I am a daddy's girl and the lyric, "as long as there's still life in me, I'll always come for you" just hits me right in the heart. My daddy passed away and I never got a chance to say goodbye and tell him how much I loved him. He will always be with me no matter what and I know that he would always come back to me.

Yes this song is powerful and yes Father's matter in a big way.
Teach your daughter to protect and provide for her own survival, so she knows the difference between a man and a boy when she's ready to find a life partner.
My dad did this once. A guy was trying to go me in his car when I was 17. He turned up and smashed the driver's windows and dragged him half out. I couldn't get away from him so I am forever grateful. Miss u dad x

My stepdad dedicated this song to me a year before he passed away. When I went over to my moms to visit he would always play this song for me. We didnt always have the best relationship but as much as we fought is as much as we loved eachother. He stepped up and he didnt have to. He passed away in 2019 after a severe heart attack. I got the horrific call that he was being rushed to the hospital at 3am. I jumped out of bed and rushed to the hospital to be there for him like I have during his heart surgeries and his other heart attacks. I couldnt save him this time and watched him as he took his last breath as nurses and doctors were giving him CPR. I felt a huge warmth over me when he died like he gave me a hug. I just didnt want him to be alone on his final moments. He never left me alone during mine. He was always there for me. Now when I miss him I play this song ❤

Ventricular Fibrillationis an Arrythmia when the bottom half of the heart quivers due to bad signals in the heart. This requires to be shocked or cpr or death may happen. I can't really answer why are Nickelback being so hated throughout the social media and always referred as to a gay band or something like that. They are one of the few rock bands which can touch your heart, or at least that is happening to me, because I've felt everything from their songs' lyrics...

I just started listening to nickelback, and I love their music, it takes real effort and talent, to write songs like these they tell a story and they make sense, people could relate to them and their music videos tell little stories and they relate to and enhance their songs, way to go, guys, you're awesome, and pure bliss to listen to. They crank out emotional songs, and with those music videos, they touch you deep inside, they almost make me cry, they are so touching, I never knew that this band is hated, why? They are so much better than anything else out there.

Nickelback really knows how to make a music video that actually means something, it's not just them singing, you actually get the feeling you get watching a movie. Holy shit I forgot how amazing this album is. I don’t understand how some people only like the old Nickelback or only the new Nickelback. All of their albums are absolutely perfect. When they first became my favorite band I mostly heard songs from ATRR up since their newer songs seem to be the most popular and then I listened to their old stuff like Curb through The Long Road and literally fell in love with their music all over again. They dominate every genre they do and I’m so glad they switched up their style so many times because they sound amazing no matter what. It’s not selling out it’s literally a band being diverse. Whether they make sex songs or songs with powerful messages the lyrics are always fucking perfect. Nickelback will always be the best band in the world to me 💙💚

Yup, Mary-Anne (sp?,) and Nickelback is from Hanna, Alberta (, In Canadian terms; Very close geographically.) I've met many people who grew up with them. If one does not get my point, I don't understand why people "hate," them either. Yes, even here they say that. This particular video always gets me. I cry. I absolutely love this song, I have been a fan forever. But this is my dad. I know for a fact he would come for us. He had nothing but girls, me & my 2 sisters. And then all of our friends suddenly became his daughters as well. One of my best friends found her being followed when she was coming home & she didn’t know what to so called me my dad said no go straight home you come to us. He was outside with double barrel shotgun loaded when pulled up in yard & got I met at he was standing on porch. The car took running top speed hit the gas so fast. He passed is passed in Nov 2019. But he was definitely of dad.

How many children go through this? At three years old I was down our new house street repeating "Mama come." As I did not know where our new house was located and not knowing many wprds. I realized later the Kingdom Come was as close to my living parents with this repeated, scared, time, phrase of Mama,come and then daddy,come, 😮😢😊. Better to come foryou, andlive homedom come, as I "prayed" and "reached," in my little three years old heart. So when I found Nickleback's ("official music video"), "I'd Come for You" I cried, "Mama,come ("Mamacom" and "Daddycom" as both parents, "parentcom", promised to "Always come for" me, as I believe today.)

All the comments going "If I'd were the dad, I'd hit him harder" are missing the point. The point isn't that the dad can fight for her - or the fact he's willing to. All of us are. The point is the line "...but only if you tell me to". He's worried sick about his daughter, but he lets her make her own decissions, desn't forbid her to do something he thinks is a bad idea. He's ready to be there as a safety net instead.
(Face it: he obviously was right not liking that guy, but as a father, I *know* not every boyfriend I dislike is gonna be a rapist!) That song *DID* inspire me to be a better parent.

I like your comment and agree with most of it. When you mentioned the part about the dad being willing to be there and fight for his daughter and "all of us are" that is not at all true. The majority of dads I would like to think would be like the dad in this video but so many are not and even to many leave before their child starts school.
@@iwonttells2944 Life would be much simpler if people like that came with a warning label stamped on their forehead. I feel for your situation but it sounds like your kids are better off with you. I grew up with both mom and dad ......that's not always the answer. When you find a woman that loves you enough through the good times and will care for you when you are not feeling well and you love her don't let her go. Wishing you and your kids all the best!
@@luckychurchyard5852 I know that my mother went through three marriages that all ended in breakups especially when my father took custody of me and my brother Zach away from her since he was willing to fight that battle and win since she was so far behind on child support, and as a result of that she also went as far as having both of us emancipated, thus giving all parental rights of us to him, though I wonder how it could be possible for her to emancipate me legally despite her knowing that I have some disabilities
Dads, teach both your daughters and your sons how to fight and also how to be decent humans!

Nickelback os a great band. Just like most bands at some point during their careers they experiment with different types of songs but for the most part they have been consistent. Grew up with them in the early 2000's and still listening to them into my 30's. Always a fan ❤

When I watched this as a kid in university, the dad was just a hero who saved the day.

Videos like this make me glad I carry a blade, because my father would NEVER have come for me if I was stupid enough to put myself in this kind of situation, even when he was still physically capable of doing so. Fortunately I'm also not stupid enough to put myself in these kinds of situations, but thank goodness fathers like this DO exist and care about their daughters.

I don't understand that either. It may be that it's not today's top hit music? Their top on my hit music list though. Can't wait to go to a concert. Hopefully if they tour in 2015, they will come to Kentucky, to the Yum Center in Louisville. That would be my dream come true. If my dad would let me go, and not say i'm to young to go to a concert. The only concerts that have been at the Yum Center lately, is Taylor Swifts tour, and Kenny Chesny's. We couldve gone to both but i'm saving my money to go to a Nickelback concert. (I don't like Taylor Swift anyway.) I think she sounds like a cat stuck in a car door. Please don't argue with me on this thought because this is just my opinion, and i hate arguing anyway. But back on subject, I'm estimating about $60 for one ticket. Me and my dad both want to go and so I'm trying to save up 120 plus God knows what on tax. It's already gone up 7% so who knows what it'll be in 2015. I'm so ready though!!!!!
