You are my go to when I need design help. Love the idea of showing designs that don’t brake the bank!
I love Milanote and have been using it for years for personal projects. It's so easy to save images while I am browsing design and architecture websites or articles. Then, it's easy to sort the images for different projects or rooms. It lets you visualize how well (or not well) everything goes together. It's a great tool for organizing, sharing, contemplating...lol, and then making final decisions 😊
Would love to see other rooms or client projects besides the rooms we have already seen over and over. Perhaps garage ir basement or rooms in upper level.
This my favorite iteration of this space to date. I love the addition of the caramel color for warmth and all the greens for that natural organic touch.
That mirror is perfect above the fireplace! It just makes the room!

My home has never been the same since coming across your channel a few years ago. I was floundering after moving to a new home twice the size of our former home. I didn’t know how to decorate on a larger scale and I couldn’t figure out my style. I had always leaned towards a more traditional style but felt it was a bit stuffy for my age. Black/White/Green/Gold are my colors. I thought, why I don’t know, for a second, when we moved into this house that I would try farmhouse because “everyone” else was. Nooooo. ‘Twas not for me. I still like some traditional things, some antiques, some mid century modern and some modern things. I stick with my color palette that I love and have found a way to mesh all of those styles together. I feel your style resonates the closest to what I like, so I watch these home tours carefully, looking for inspiration.
Your kitchen is one I have gone back to many times. Not mimicking, but looking for ways to have a kitchen that looks less “kitchen” and more like just the rest of the house. I’ve never done clutter/appliances everywhere, but there is more to it than just removing those things. If you want to give a kitchen tour next, I’m in! 😁

I think interior design is like making a quilt. Sometimes you have to add in something you wouldn’t ordinarily look twice at as it’ll bring it together and become the star or the show or make the star of the show shine. ❤
I just recently bought two for my home and everyone loves them. Two of my friends and a family member then bought them after seeing them in my place.

Valentina this is beautiful and giving me so much inspiration on how to update our new home! Would you pleeeeeeeeease do a mini tutorial on how you updated your fireplace?
Valentina, there are so many things i love about your home. The colors, the lay out, the peaceful feeling. But if there was one thing i would critique, it would be the massive amount of repetitive 2-3 books laying horizontal with a vase or bowl on top. Its EVERYWHERE. That would be like being a hairstylist and every client may have a different color but they all walk out with the same haircut and style. Its just the same over and over again. Like maybe stand multiple books up vertically with something sitting beside it. Or a vase or bowl on its own so it has its own moment and not competing with books. Again, i love all of your stuff, its just the repetitive nature of the lay out that makes it kinda boring
Yes I love a lot of things in the house, though there is way too many books, etc and the coffee table has so many items, too busy for me.
@@janeth.3283 she has stated before that she has tons of books and they aren't just decor, she actually likes to look thru them and I totally get that. I'd just like to see some variation in styling them if you are going to have all of them on display
@@april_m5893 Well it's a good thing that you don't live there! This is HER home and she shares this space with all of us. This is one of the things wrong with social media, people think that they have a right to critique just because they have a keyboard.
@@user-fz1dk4yt3e her job is to literally walk into peoples home and critique their space and make suggestions on what she thinks may look better. When she post her home for people to see then she is opening her self to the same critique. Everyone has opinions and this is mine. When you watch a decorator/ designer you want to get ideas and inspiration and I have gotten a lot of that from her. But if you see the same thing repeated over and over again everywhere then it reduces the inspiration that you get from watching. Obviously she doesn't have to follow my suggestion. Yes, its her home. But maybe she may look around and say " you know, maybe I could change it up just a bit to add some variety the style". I wasn't being rude with my suggestion, just giving insight to what other might notice that maybe she doesn't. so you can reign back the snippiness
@@MyshelLeAnn yes I totally agree. And when I have watched the few episodes when she does a makeover in someone's home, like the doctor, that to just ends up a little underwhelming. Not because the space doesn't look good but it literally looks like she took every color and decor item in her home and just transfered it to someone elses home. She finds things she likes and buys multiples to use in her own home and in projects she does. You will see the same vase, or same bowl or same print. Idk, just kinda burnt out seeing the same kind of stuff. Like how many vases bowls and candles does one person need. Just ones I'd like to see a crazy little nik nak sitting somewhere like that gorilla that jack wanted one time but she said nope lol
Mrs.V, I loved your living room tour, you gave me a lot of inspiration and ideas. Can you talk about more about budget/cost, like can I do all this on 5k or do I need more money.. I heard you say you barely had enough money to hire painter for fireplace area etc. and you painted the other area yourself.
