keep straw away from this team. keep sandlin off of the postseason bullpen roster. use the following lineup vs righties 1) kwan 2) manzardo 3) jose 4) naylor 5) thomas 6) noel 7) gimenez 8) naylor 9) rocchio. swap out thomas and manzardo slots vs lefties and you got a shot. also.. never let hedges hit. only for defensive replacement late in games. start bibee, boyd, lively in a short series. use cantillo out of the bullpen once through a lineup. use cobb the same way. start williams 4th in a seven game series. maybe even only let the starting pitcher throw through the lineup twice at most. id even consider doing multiple bullpen games and mix in starters vs the weaker part of lineups as needed. manufacture runs the guardians way.
Man I really don't get leaving Brennan off here. Dude is a stellar outfielder, plays all 3 spots, has a .300 batting average in the 2nd half, and has been our 3rd best clutch hitter all year.
He does have a good batting average, but it’s mostly singles. And while he could play all 3 positions he’s a below average right fielder, which just makes me think he might not be a better center fielder than Lane Thomas
@@basedballCLE I still don't get why they treat him primarily as a right fielder, he played mostly center in the minors and graded out at like 55 defensively, with left field being his second most played position.
Guards management must: A.) tell Steve Kwan to stop trying to power hit . I think Kwan said in an interview they told him give your all to hit the long ball . The result was Kwan hitting 2x as many homers than last year, but also hitting way too many popup outs. His batting average plummeted . He must get back to hitting accurately meaning more singles and doubles again . B.) Jhonkensy Albert Noel only 23 years old, is a diamond in the rough . He is big approximately 6'3" , 245 pounds , Powerful, amazingly fast in the outfield and running the base path , and can hit the ball a mile . The team and Guards mgmt. must give him all the support they can . Also they must improve his accuracy . His batting average is only around 210. C.) Schneeman must get playing time in the outfield . He's very fast, tall, jumps very well . He has robbed at least 2 homers this year. Fox must get some playing time at catcher and elsewhere . He played in the MLB all star game , that means a lot D.) etcetera...
No way, Will is attached to Jhonkensy. Those two platoon together. Straw, no way. If that happens it'll be a Michael Martinez situation all over again. We'll have the tying run on 3rd, the winning run on second with two outs in game 7 and straw will be up to bat...that's nightmare fuel. Everything else, pretty good.
@@basedballCLE I can see how you might want that given the power potential, but Will has a .734 OPS against righties. That's almost league average. Jhonkensy has had a bad month and his sky high chase rate is really coming home to roost right now.
Our starting rotation is definitely mediocre but that bullpen is one of the best ever assembled. Any metric you want to use the bullpen clears it. That Bullpen is just downright unfair .
I love this team but there is no way they are getting past the first round. Houston just handed them their butts for two days & i don't see that changing when they face them in the division round.
Sabrowski looks like Hentges did at his absolute best in 2022, I don't see where you're getting that he sucks. Lefty throwing 95 with a hammer curve and solid-to-great command
I just can’t bring myself to leave Avila out of this. He’s earned his spot this year.

😂. They already sent Straw down. Brennan is the guy. By far.
I know this guy does not know what he is talking about
Down to the player these are my picks as well, Sabrowski has blown me away every time I've gotten to see him

I'm thankful that we have been blessed with so many good arms of our pitching staff throughout even our minor leagues
Please not Sandlin. I would get him as far away from this team as I could
Erik Sabrowski is HIM
@@basedballCLE oh hell no
Agree.
Cobb has nasty stuff.
I’d take Brennan over Martinez but you bring up a good point about Martinez position versatility. Brennan has been hot this month though.
Martinez has been bad this moth but Brenna’s has not been hot. He only has a 692 ops
@@CombatWombat322 he’s batting almost .300 in this month
Will Brennan is batting around .300 since coming back up this year.
I agree with your pitchers one, two, and three❤
I think Sandlin or Avila will be there (hopefully not Sandlin)
Avila earned it big time
Just came off the IL, and would you look at that! A homer!
Angel should be the SS already, and Straw shouldn't see an MLB roster let alone a postseason roster. Freeman should be on over Straw

I’d rather Jhonkensy just face righties than Brennan play at all tbh even if he is there over Straw

Let's go guards
We don't need a pitcher. We don't need a hitter.
"We DESIRE A WIN"
Gavin I would choose Lively over Gavin because likely runs into a bad inning but Gavin can run into multiple bad innings
Our starting rotation is definitely mediocre but that bullpen is one of the best ever assembled. Any metric you want to use the bullpen clears it. That Bullpen is just downright unfair .
Will Brennan over straw
Brian Brennan is hot now we need his bat
I thought bro was Quinn Ewers I won’t lie
that’s a new one 😂
S c h e m a a n is making the roster
Guardians win this series I would add cantillo because he has the spice
Brennan's in the top six hitters
I’d put Cobb in the bullpen. Keep him healthy.
I love this team but there is no way they are getting past the first round. Houston just handed them their butts for two days & i don't see that changing when they face them in the division round.
The Guardians should have won the second game if not for the two run error by the shortstop. Houston did not dominate them.
Lively at number four
Analytics can be wrong and they're wrong now about Brennan
Noelle is not going to be in the starting rosters this opening Series
Isn't Kevin Williams era over 5 I would leave him off this series
Where is Tim Herrin
He’s there
Eric sabrowski Is just a rookie who got lucky and will never make it cut him off the team immediately
Huh? What did he do to you? Did he take your girlfriend?
@@PweeBurntPizza he sucks thats what

What have you been watching to get this roster made up because have you done your homework or are you plagiarizing
In my opinion I disagree a v i l l a stays
How dare you disrespect me I’m making the team straw is in triple a already.
Buddy you're not will brenan.
Doubt lively makes it
Straws out
No ball knowledge
Very wek dibe,
Anyone over Sandlin and Gaddis
Anyone over Gaddis like he ain’t a top 5 reliever in the MLB
@@basedballCLEGaddis is good. But I trust him the least out of Smith, Herrin, and Clase.
Gaddis is good are you mentally here
I can tell that your a little kid
@@Justin-pq3rq I hate to say it but I agree. Gaddis is good enough to close on probably 15 teams in the league but the others are just that damn good
Brennan over Kwan and I don’t think Cobb makes it. Avila or Sandlin take his place
You can’t be serious about the first take
Kwan just homered bruh. He clearly wasn’t right, but now that he took a long break, he seems to be back.
Sorry - Brennan over Straw
How dare you leave Kwan off the roster, this is treason
