Especially since Russia can't have a naval presence anywhere in wartime due to the fact they have zero operable carriers, and therefore zero air superiority, except over it's own mainland. The Admiral Kuznetsov (Russia's only carrier) was severely damaged by a crane accident, nearly sank in harbor, and is being scrapped because the damage is too expensive and problematic to repair now.
Hence why Russia are now building bases and putting missiles near your country, this is not good.

But if a country like Russia or China did try to deploy a nuke on a carrier battle group, there are still many others and that country would be decimated by the US nuclear counter attack. So it doesn't make much sense for a country to do that. And we have subs stationed all over the world that at the moment a nuke was launched by another country toward an American asset they would launch and hit that country in minutes. So the point is, nuclear war is not good for any country.
