The refresh was a good effort to introduce even more technology, but personally I liked the slender headlights and grille of the debut Mark VIII. Today Lincoln has learned to save what works. Look at the Lincoln MKZ for example; the rear end still has the best interpretation of the BMW “Bangle Butt” trunk lid. The original Mark VIII was a solid design. I didn’t appreciate the updates until the car was no longer produced. My Mark VI didn’t change externally for the whole generation, except for a slot added in the front chrome bumper. Well anyway, thanks once again for adding a time capsule for the new generation to discover. It motivates us all to keep making videos.

xrmerkur my sister owned a 93 Mark VIII shortly after I had bought my 97. There are many things I appreciate about both. Mainly the styling!!
