      If I bought a beginner friendly sewing machine, will a heavy duty needle make it last longer?

      J B you need a heavy duty needle regardless. the one that comes with the machine will break

    Thanks for the advice! I used to hand sew my wigs but once I learned how to make my wigs on the sewing machine the game honestly changed. I wanted to take a class but I wasn’t trying to make an investment to be left looking crazy at the end. I literally taught myself best thing I’ve done this year 💪🏾 #newsubcriber

    I can’t remember when I started sewing wigs but of course I started hand sewing. About a year ago my mom bought me a sewing machine bc she saw that I hand sewed my daughters bday outfit. But like u said that puts a strain on your wrist so I thought i could cut down threading needles etc etc.. if I just use my machine.I literally read my manual to learn how to use my sewing machine then had trial and error with making wigs on it . Yes I cried and was very frustrated but I’ve finally got comfortable using the machine. But now I’m thankful I found your page, I will look at you as my mentor bc sis ima need to learn measurements for others

    I respect and appreciate your video. I had a very similar situation to happen with people affiliated with her, and I had documentation stating my class was incomplete, and PayPal didn’t refund even half of my money. I’m glad we’ve got you speaking the truth. What you said is truly how I felt in every aspect. The messed up part of it is it’s your own race.

    Definitely watched to the end and learned a lot. I love how honest you are! Crazy I found you on YT--I live in NC too and never came across your IG. I wish my hand sewn wigs only took 2 hours--I have to work on them for a day or more...smh.

      Adrienne Coles thank you so much! How long have you been doing the handmade wigs? It will get quicker I recommend buying at least 6 curved sewing needles and thread them super long before you begin. That cut time for me when I did them

    North Carolina 🤘🏾 so inspirational. I’m in the journey now to start my wig making Business. I use to work at a T-shirt factory so I know how to work a sewing machine. But I’m having trouble actually being confident enough to get my name out there. I made my first sewing machine wig under 40mins and made it for myself. The wig was slightly small. But I think my problem is transferring measurements and I believe the manikin head was not a accurate size. I will be buying the GEX brand ASAP. Thanks you for this info.

    Thanks for this vid ! I’m a wig maker as well based in NYC and NJ , I bought a sewing machine in May and it’s been a real trail and error for me. I guess my question is do you think I should still take a class ? The classes that are offered are SUPER expensive and I’m just trying to see if it’s really worth spending damn near $600-$800 on a class.

    • @ForeverEssynce
      @ForeverEssynce  5 років тому +3

      Ki Nicolie I do think it’s some things that a class can help you with it just depends on the class. I know amour_janelle on IG has FaceTime classes that’s cheaper than the hands on class. It’s always room for improvement so never stop learning from others just make sure you’re doing your research about what you will take out of the class.
