Until now, this will still remain as the best fortnite finale ever, a good waiting room that isn't boring, so many cutscenes, so much things going on compared to what we got earlier, the only good parts about "Fracture" event was only the beginning and the ending but the rest felt like a creative map.
For sure. I was expecting way more. The gameplay felt like a game designed for toddlers: the objectives were basic and the purpose of these objectives made no sense.

At 10:04 i realized how i always wanted for this chapter to end but i never really appreciated what we got. I saw all the seasons flashing in a second and i was looking at all those memories literally being sinked in the past. I had so much fun this chapter and i deeply thank the Fortnite devs for putting all the effort they could regardless of Covid complications

Chapter 2 was a really good chapter, in my opinion probably my favorite chapter for the memories and stuff but not for the graphics except in the live events.
It was a really fun chapter for me as I got to see master chief in Fortnite, The water storm, Underwater swimming, And amazing live events.

Chapter 2 gave me so much memories, not just because it was where I first started playing, but because like all of the seasons were good, honestly I miss the chapter.
I love how Dr. Slone starts shooting at The Foundation when he takes off his mask, as if she hates The Rock just as much as she hates The Foundation and finding out they're the same person is a big revelation for her
I think there is history other than he’s the leader of the Seven.
Her reaction to his face reveal basically confirms it.

By far one of my favorite events I loved everything about it it was done so well. So much better than doing chores for 40 minutes.
@David Mozingo I know that epic worked hard on the most recent event, as a game designer myself I know how well epic did on it, it just wasn't fun for me (the player) and other players. It's the truth, I'm not calling something good that wasn't good. (If that's what you mean)

This event is still my favourite event in the history of the game.

Seeing the VERY large differences in quality between the Chapter 2 finale and Chapter 3 finale is truly amazing and shocking:
-The Seven actually do things as a team
-The season's main villain was actually properly built up and posed an actual threat
-We actually got to fight the villain (like seriously they had the whole reality tree thing fully set up why couldn't we have started it there)
-The event showed interactive events done right as many things are going on around us while still having player interaction
-The map felt properly at risk of destruction as most of it was overtaken by the corruption rather than just lines of chrome in Chapter 3
-There was buildup over the season of the main fight
-The event was long enough to where they didn't need filler fetch quests while still feeling full of important lore and reveals
-The ending is done much better and is far more of eye candy and with better and more tonally accurate music then the Chapter 4 island reveal (though the reveal wasn't bad)
-No one got logged out for no apparent reason
-You didn't have to run around doing fetch quests and watching nostalgia clips of Chapter's 1 and 2
-The Chapter 3 finale didn't even start on the island not even giving us a final goodbye to it or showing how much of it was fully taken
-The Chapter 3 map didn't even get enough time to gain a complete personality or make us have any attachment to it because it was so short. This could have easily been a season finale like Collision
-Neither Jones or The Foundation have ANY form of closure and Geno just comes to chapter 4 out of nowhere. What were they doing for the past 6 months?
Among other things, Fracture was a MASSIVE downgrade over this event. Epic already had an amazing ending laid out RIGHT in front of them and they didn't take the chance leading to the question of why they didn't. Chapter 3 was a great chapter followed up by a VERY mediocre finale and that leaves me disappointed and wanting more. Chapter 2's was far better as it did everything it needed to do and wrapped up every loose end it needed to. How did it come to this?
Edit: Forgot that the whole Geno thing was solved in the comics. My bad. Doesn't take from most of my other points though. Also the whole seven fighting as a team argument wasn't the best

I agree almost wholeheartedly except for the risk of destruction and the things about the Seven:
- while there wasn't as much chrome on the island compared to the corruption of C2S8, the corruption in C2S8 literally didn't do anything - all it did was turn the ground a different color and add some particle effects. The chrome lines, while not as prevalent as the corruption, actively changed the POIs it infested, with the hexagonal buildings rising out of it.
- The Seven weren't there in the event because most of them are dead - Order died in Collision, Foundation/Visitor/Scientist/Imagined/Origin were all taken by the chrome, and it is hinted that Paradigm sacrificed herself for Zero Fusion to work. They can't exactly work together if they're dead.
- Geno didn't come out of nowhere - in the Zero War comics it was shown that when he fell into the Zero Point he was powerful enough to put himself back together, piece-by-piece. Since the Zero Point pulled stuff from a bunch of other realities, him hitching a ride on one of the pieces or something isn't possible.
Other than these points, I completely agree with what you said. The sad part is that the deleted scene would have been so good to have - where the Zero Point got abducted by a Mothership, only for the Zero Point to fight back and blow it up and the Zero Point literally flies away. That would have been awesome to see.

Well the whole Jones foundation and geno thing was explained in the fortnite marvel comics you should check them out they reveal a lot of lore
This is something similar to what we would’ve gotten if chapter 3 wasn’t shortened down to 4 seasons, an epic finale event where loose ends get tied up and new plot holes get formed for the future, not some lazy island gets blown up, then we spend 40 minutes rebuilding it just for all of our work to get crushed under the new map. I’m sure chapter 3 would’ve become nostalgic to everyone if it continued.
Chapter 3 had so much potential that it is nostalgic to me, only from the first 2 seasons being some of the best. season 3 and 4 were mid, but the first 2 made it so good. what made chapter 1 and 2 good, is despite a few bad seasons, in the end there were 8 good ones. but with chapter 3, half of them were bad. HALF.
Let’s hope Chapter 4 finale event ends up being good

Just watching this makes me remember how tired I was of Chapter 2, but I didn’t realize what I had until it was gone. Beginning playing on my brother’s account in Chapter 1 Season 5, then creating my own account in late Chapter 2 Season 2, I got to see most of Chapter 2. Season 5 was when I took a break from Fortnite. Season 6 was kind of rough around the edges, but other than that, the entire chapter was so fun and action-packed and I miss it so much.
This was hands down the best Fortnite chapter finale event. Much better than the endings of Chapter 3 and 4. It's only slightly ahead of Chapter 1's ending.

When you see the island flipping, you can see three abductors and a bunch of saucers fleeing back into the portal. The cool thing is that the top abductor and the saucers actually manage to escape before the portal closes, whilst the two remaining abductors are crushed.

As someone who began Fortnite before Battle Royale was even a thing, as a founder - it’s incredible to see what the game has become. To think from the start I had no faith in it. This is awesome and what a journey it’s been.

@@thevaltwo it's more than that. I've found that players aren't interested until they get their favourite character in game. But when I see it in game, everybody loves the game because it has a skin that represents them and they love playing as their favourite character, kinda like smash Bros in a sense. Smash Bros would suck without the iconic characters and so would fortnite. My brother only gained full interest when he got masterchief and my friend only gained full interest when he got sasuke.

@@ionic_rezz7789 chapter 1 season 10’s music, originality, all of it was, insanely good. Before all of the insanely big and dumb crossovers. As it is a free game, Fortnite/Epic Games kinda outdid themselves for the first and second chapter. Some weird seasons, I really enjoyed chapter 2 season 1-3 maybe even 4, pretty solid. But idk, Chapter one holds a special place in my heart, I loved The first “End” event.

My all time favourite Live Event moment. I absolutely loved The Seven in Season 4 and X. I eagerly waited the entire second Chapter hoping to see them again. Of course we got hints here and there, I knew they would be back someday.
FRRRR when they said "area secured, see you on the other side" the musi, the dialoge, the cinematics EVERYTHING gave me chiils, i cant stop rewatching that part
The music at the end never fails to bring tears to my eyes. Best game soundtrack of all time.
Now that Arcane is a thing and it's a massive success, I really hope that Epic will follow because Fortnite has MASSIVE story potential. Underneath the mindless and repeatable games there is crapton of lore, lots of interesting heroes and villains and lots of action - the events are just a fraction of the story this game has and they are perfect to show it in the same way Arcane showed the world of LoL to people. Seriously, its just missing out at this point...

I love how at 9:30 the music goes from sad and emotional as the island is being destroyed to triumphant as the cube queen is defeated!

Haven't played Fortnite in 2 years now. But I kept track with the game, and I have to say that, these events are mind blowing. I remember when the best event was the ice king freezing the map. Time flies man.

Can we all agree this still stands as one of the best events ever
That has got to be one of the most beautiful cinematics that Fortnite has ever made. Graphically, it was gorgeous, and for us who follow the lore of the game, there was story content aplenty to be found everywhere; I’m so glad that Agent Jones and The Foundation are back! Oh, and how can’t I mention the incredible instrumentation that played when the island flipped; it had me tearing up!
Well done Epic Games, for not only creating a fantastic live experience for your players to watch, but for all the memories we were able to make in Chapter 2 too! We’ll see you on the flip side in Fortnite Chapter 3!
I know right it was fantastic, to witness and play. I was just expecting it to be the cube queen destroying the island. But instead Epic Games exceeded my expectations,in a brilliant way.

That was way too cringe to read then it should have been lmao, but all jokes aside, nothing will ever best the ending to chapter 1, it was single handedly the best and worst event in Fortnite, very emotional, but it took the best map away, if they ever bring it back I'll give all the resect I've given away back to the game, other than that, season 2 was alright but it got boring fast, they better be thinking about bringing the old map back quick
