- My new year's resolution is to do more birding in 2024. I started the year in Michigan's Upper Peninsula looking for some northern Michigan specialties like Spruce Grouse and Bohemian Waxwing. Man did I have the bird for you hanging around for 2 days. It was a Varied Thrush, Yes a Varied Thrush and I would have loved for you to catch a photo.

do you use a tripod for the bird videos? if so which one. also close your car door lol don't want a bear running in there
I’m using a Feisol CT-3442 but I do not recommend it for video. It’s not very stable at all and the slightest bump makes it move around. I’m looking to upgrade. I also use the Manfrotto 502AH but I’m looking to upgrade that too.
Also, the bears are hibernating Omar. It’s the Moose you have to watch out for ;)
By the way, how many Pavlik birders are there in Michigan?!?! 😂
