I was just watching an episode of The Munster's last night, and it occurred to me that in all the years I'd watched The Munster's when I was a child, I had never developed a clear layout of their home. Though I've been subscribed for a while I haven't watched all of the videos. Today, I searched and found the two-part episode here. Though I should have known with Mockingbird Lane included in your channel name. @4:47 - The "unique, antiquated piano" is actually a pump organ. Basically a reed organ that had air bellows that were filled by alternating foot pedals to pump the air. The round knobs above the keyboard are stop pulls, where one can turn on or off a voice within the instrument, changing the sound.

Their kitchen was always my favorite. I liked the episode with Lily in the kitchen stirring the pot while wearing the furgosi emerald. You really did a fantastic job Marina. I even felt a touch of anxiety as though I were touring a real haunted house.

You did it! Before Halloween too! I was a teenaged dude when this show premiered. I totally wished they were my neighbors! I'd have been over there all the time. I'll never forget Lilly applying for a job and when the dude asked for her name she told him: "Dracula" LOL the look on his face. 7:33. In a larger home like The Munster's abode, that back staircase would be used by servants, so they wouldn't be seen too much by guests. Typically during the Victorian age, a house like that, often had servants.
What you say is true. However, homes in that era and size often had 2 staircases just for the family. Two excellent examples of this would be Bing Crosby's farm house in "Holiday Inn" and the house in "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House." In the Munster house, where would the servants stay? Its only a 4 bedroom house with an attic and no third floor (which was usually the servants bedrooms).

Back in the day I rode one of those tourist trams in that neighborhood and was amazed to see the Munster house was across the street and a couple doors down from the Cleavers. After seeing that, I started to notice it on Leave it to Beavers when Beaver was in his front yard or Wally in Lumpy's car driving by it.

It had this reaction because I initially got involved with the Munster house when I was doing research on how a normal Victorian kitchen originally was laid out and how it functioned, as well as other rooms. I have always loved Victorian houses and would like to live in one. It was that desire that led to research which led to something related to the Munster house. Having been a fan when young, I explored the house by rewatching the series. This led to taking the still shots. Since I had these pictures , I thought there might be others who would have an interest, so decided to post them. I am so glad you enjoyed and could use them.

Nice job. My late aunt lived in a creepy 100 year old house that reminded me of the Munster's house. She did have a "modern" refrigerator but it was from the 1960's. I was saddened to learned that her house had been demolished and replaced with 8 nondescript apartment units.

I was just watching an episode of The Munster's last night, and it occurred to me that in all the years I'd watched The Munster's when I was a child, I had never developed a clear layout of their home. Though I've been subscribed for a while I haven't watched all of the videos. Today, I searched and found the two-part episode here. Though I should have known with Mockingbird Lane included in your channel name. @4:47 - The "unique, antiquated piano" is actually a pump organ. Basically a reed organ that had air bellows that were filled by alternating foot pedals to pump the air. The round knobs above the keyboard are stop pulls, where one can turn on or off a voice within the instrument, changing the sound.

I always wanted to see something like this of the Munster home, thanks for your time and energy in putting this together, was very entertaining and fun.
7:33. In a larger home like The Munster's abode, that back staircase would be used by servants, so they wouldn't be seen too much by guests. Typically during the Victorian age, a house like that, often had servants.
What you say is true. However, homes in that era and size often had 2 staircases just for the family. Two excellent examples of this would be Bing Crosby's farm house in "Holiday Inn" and the house in "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House." In the Munster house, where would the servants stay? Its only a 4 bedroom house with an attic and no third floor (which was usually the servants bedrooms).

Back in the day I rode one of those tourist trams in that neighborhood and was amazed to see the Munster house was across the street and a couple doors down from the Cleavers. After seeing that, I started to notice it on Leave it to Beavers when Beaver was in his front yard or Wally in Lumpy's car driving by it.

Ok so the 2nd part without the macabre was like seeing the house when the Munsters first bought the house. Then Lily would add her touch to it later. I remember grandpa saying "my daughter does this all by herself"

It had this reaction because I initially got involved with the Munster house when I was doing research on how a normal Victorian kitchen originally was laid out and how it functioned, as well as other rooms. I have always loved Victorian houses and would like to live in one. It was that desire that led to research which led to something related to the Munster house. Having been a fan when young, I explored the house by rewatching the series. This led to taking the still shots. Since I had these pictures , I thought there might be others who would have an interest, so decided to post them. I am so glad you enjoyed and could use them.

Nice job. My late aunt lived in a creepy 100 year old house that reminded me of the Munster's house. She did have a "modern" refrigerator but it was from the 1960's. I was saddened to learned that her house had been demolished and replaced with 8 nondescript apartment units.

@@MarinaCoatesMockingbirdLane I've been watching a few. I use to love building model train buildings and I wanted to be an architect as well, but it never worked out for me. I did get straight A's in school Drafting classes when I was in highschool back in the late 1980's and early 1990's.
