Thanks SO much for doing this interior! Watching White Christmas (multiple times a season!) is a tradition in my family. My mother and father were married in October 1954 and spent their honeymoon in NYC. They went to see White Christmas at its premier. My dad passed away when I was just 16 years old. I was in my 50s before my sister told me about my folks honeymoon outing; I had no idea there was a sentimental reason that we loved the movie so much. My mom was 31 when she got married they were only married for 24 years before my dad passed. She was always sad that she didn't have more time with him, but she never mentioned to me that they saw White Christmas on their honeymoon, and never asked us not to watch it, even though it must have made her quite sad.
How wonderful! I love every set from this film, but particularly the General’s living quarters upstairs - it’s so cozy! And the cast party scene is where Vera-Ellen wears my favorite gown, the eggshell with a turtle neck and rhinestone snowflakes. Thank you so much for recreating my favorite movie inn! Well, Marina, if I ever hit the lottery jackpot I'm hiring you as my architect/general contractor to build this place. This is my favorite Christmas film and I've always dreamed of building this inn exactly as it appears. When I was a kid I used to think it was a real place and asked my parents if we could go stay there for a winter vacation. Imagine my disappointment when they explained how movie sets were built in sound stages then torn apart for the next film. I thought your Honeymooners apartment was your best, this one takes the prize!.

Those sorts of details just make a home. Thanks again, Marina. Happy New Year 🎊 Holly Kuettel, Wisconsin
