I would have never thought to put a nut butter with a sweet potato. Interesting!

One of my favorite dinners is a baked sweet potato smeared with almond butter. Add a steamed veggie and you're good to go!

I like this alternative to “toast” even if it’s not super rigid or hard, and I wonder after it’s completely cooled if it won’t be more firm. I’m definitely going to try this.

I personally love sweet potato toast but this cooking method is weird and results in soggy "toast". Its much easier and yummier to just throw the dry 1/4 inch "planks" in the toaster and cook on high for 2 to 3 cycles. This results in perfectly cooked and crisp toast!

Looking good with all the colours but it is actually a very soggy toast... sometimes people care about the food's presentation more than the real taste and texture of the final dish. I prefer some oven-baked sweet potato chips with a healthy dip. Maybe it would be better if you didn't call it a toast...LOL

They look delicious. Nice topping combos too. They do not look crisp however, and you would need knife and fork. Would love tips on making them crisp so they could truly be hand-held like toast.

Kathleen Craig I would stick in the toaster oven right before using because unless they’re very thin, they will be soft.

The only way I've been able to make sweet potato slices crisp is in the dehydrator. I used to make them for my dog to replace rawhide chews. You could easily pull them out before they get too tough or leathery to chew.

Sam toast adds a lot of calories anywhere from 60 to 220 calorie depending on the type and if you use 1 or 2 slices.

Having seen this, and having sweet potatoes in my fridge, I decided to try it. And I did. They came out lovely and I was quite excited at the prospect of trying it with different toppings. Can I just say one thing. This is NOT toast... it’s lots of things (not very complementary), but not toast! So next time, when I fancy some toast, guess what. I’ll have toast. Made from wheat. Bread. Toasted. Yum yum... and as for keeping in a fridge and being used as toast. One word 🤢

Um not clear how this is a replacement for toast since the sweet potato slice is soggy and toast is stiff. I'm sure it tastes good but I wouldn't call it sweet potato toast. I expected better from this channel.
