Maher is an absolute tool for more reasons than could be listed here… The constant hypocrisy, blatant lies, and disrespectful attitude are just unbelievable.
For steve a former addict to not understand a fellow addicts behavior just goes to show how much growth this former addict still has and how ignorant people are about addiction. Steve should simply use Bill as a mirror to what he did to the people in his life while he was in active addiction and if he is working a recovery program the high horse and resentment should be eaten as humble pie because I don’t know an addict that has done anything but selfish self centered things in order to nurture their addiction and the illusion of control over it.
Boo hoo... don't go on his show then and go about your life silly. Instead tho he is going to whine and grift off of someones choices in their own home. His show is literally in his own house. Also him saying "blowing pot smoke in my face" is such a karen thing to say Steve O in any situation telling others to be sober around him is like the pot calling the kettle black. I have seen him on camera high on pcp in public getting in peoples faces who were sober on a video he made called "PCP saved my life" sounds like karma rounded the cornor for what he did while bats**t high to others. There’s a good chance that when it’s all said and done, Steve will go down as the textbook example of model celebrity who conquered his demons of addiction.
Bill Maher is soooo self absorbed. Privileged, entitled, ideologically stunted, cannot concede/entertain opinions other than his own.....still thinks he is a comedian
It’s his house, if your going to do an interview at a guys house and you ask him not to do what he does anyway he’s not going to entertain that, why is this a big deal?
I think the ideal behind this is that is exactly what Steveo is doing, it just shows how little other people appreciate or care about the progress you’ve made in your own life
Yea it's not to say people in AA are never around other people partying, but people in AA acknowledge the threat substances pose. They don't act like they defeated their disease. My uncle has been 30 years sober and he admits that if he goes and talks to an alcoholic at a bar, the alcoholic will get him to drink before he'll get the alcoholic to go sober.thats why they do AA meetings in pairs of two recovered addicts and one current addict.

But how is that NOT hypocritical if in the same light Maher is simply asking Steve-O to oblige to his request to smoke? The issue here is that most people are sympathetic to the addict instead of the other way around. Im simply trying to point out that Steve-O COULD be around the pot smoke but STILL can't handle himself around it. That's a Steve-O problem, not everyone else's. My addiction started at 16!! When I became an alcoholic and thought I was just partying with my friends...guess what...it wasn't just a party!! Then when I was 21 I got a major chemical burn and was PRESCRIBED percoset by my doctor...I was on it for over a year, then when my burn was healed, they just cut me off!! They don't tell you that you will go through withdrawl, and back then, we didn't know about any of that. It wasn't talked about like it is today!! So before you judge, maybe listen to peoples story's!
It'd be more respectful to do the show, let Bill smoke, not smoke himself. Instead he's a PAB about it. Nobody needs to respect your sobriety but YOU.
Bill is a poser lmfao 😅
He flip flopped his views for the last 10 years to align with the majority crowd. He was right there with the rest of them trying to cancel anyone who wasnt on his side. Woke culture started to decline and Bill switched sides, started copying Joe Rogan and here we are.

ALWAYS STAND FIRM ON YOUR BOUNDARIES! Congrats Steve-O ciming up on 11! We do recover. His autobiography "Steve-O Professional Idiot: a memoir" was an incredible read and seeing him at wise guys in SLC was hilarious. Also got his signsture tattooed on my shoulder 30 min after the show was over, the empathy i felt & sense of "he gets it" was the reason I tattooed his signature & I charish it to this day almost 11 years ago. I had 39 DAYS CLEAN at the time. He changed my life and doesn't even know it.
Congratulations 🎊
Congrats Bro, you're killing it
Bill’s team is corny for not seeing this issue being a thing before requesting Steve O to come on the show
Yeah totally
it's their fault
I get it mate I used to like him too
Some people can be around it some can’t. It’s on Steve o. He drew the line and bill didn’t waste anymore of his time
@@SPACEKNOCKERZ76 It shows alot about bill and his Professionialism.
Respect your guest or dont invite in them first place.
Have you ever her steve actually mentioning the name of a person he didnt like and said why?
I cant recall that,
to get steve not just to dislike you but speak about it means you fucked up big
It's Steve-o's fault literally dude wants to go on a podcast the podcast is known for a smoking weed. Why would you want to go on a podcast like that in the first place other than the cloud bag the audience like he's been doing on every podcast. And it's also his show he makes the rules. If you don't like it don't fucking do it
Is that for sure that they contacted Steve O to go on the show? Could have easily been Steve O’s camp putting in the request. In that case I wouldn’t want someone requesting what to do or not do in my own house.
Bill Maher is an absolute tool for this.
Steve is the tool here. If Bill was going on his podcast, it is reasonable to ask him not to smoke, but not when he is going on bills podcast. Steve is a weak minded unfunny d level celebrity with nothing important to say. What a petulant child
WHY? Steve-O should have just said ok fine no interview. But then he couldnt whine and make content with it.
@@ADGarvey1you’re completely right buddy. A clear no was the most appropriate response Bill could have given. This reaction from Steveo made me lose a lot of respect for him because I don’t think he’s a god like these people apparently do.
Nah Steve o is a sober snob now. Many of us have done drugs he's not special. Bill can smoke weed if he wants Steve o can cry about being weak to drugs all he wants.
That's a bit harsh. It's the whole point of the show, and if Steve isn't down with that, then that show isn't for him. It's the same reason Steve isn't going to a marijuana convention anytime soon, but it doesn't make Bill a tool.
When sobriety becomes your new addiction 😂
Finally someone said it!
I will take sobriety addiction over drug addiction any day.
As a stoner there’s nothing wrong with wanting be sober hell most of the weed community is just a bunch of hipsters now
Yeah imagine knowing that if you're around something it could lead to your downfall and making an effort not to fail yourself and the people you care about. That's crazy!
Better than drug addiction. For some people that's the only way to stay sober.
Keep it up Steve. Oh Way to go Brother you’ve come such a long way. It’s fantastic to see.
I love Steve o. Doing great brotha 🎉
It's YOUR sobriety. 5 years sober here.
People in recovery can't expect that others are going to stop doing drugs.
It’s a 2 way street , neither is wrong and both are in their right to handle themselves as they please
Fucking thank you. I love Steve-O, but he's not exactly entitled to be on someone else's show. Steve-O has a right to decline the interview the same as Bill Maher has a right to smoke pot on his own show.

I mean, I like to smoke, too. But if you can't go an hour without it, there's something wrong.
Bill doesn't smoke that much. It's the principle. The point of his podcast is to be a hang with friends over a joint or a drink. If Steve-O can't handle that then he needs to find a sober podcast to go on.
@@Frank_Reynolds__. If you INVITE someone to your house and you know they're hanging on to sobriety for dear life, the last thing you should do is be a dick about it. He shouldn't have invited Steve in the first place.

That’s because Bill Maher knows smoking pot is the only thing that makes him “cool”. Those other people are cool on their own and also just happen to smoke pot. They don’t do it to be cool. They just are cool. They don’t need to smoke to be cool or relevant.
