- This is an ASMR Ear to Ear Whisper video. I've been reluctant to make this because I don't want anyone to be offended. I hope you at least find it interesting and that it is a good ASMR experience for you.
I am really impressed. Not everybody could get on youtube, and voice their opinion like you did. I consider myself non-partisan, and I fully support anyone who can have a civilized view on politics, and realize that "sides" should not define our opinions. We each need our individuality, and we as a nation need to be united in that. I definitely feel like you fit into that category of people. Thanks for the tingles, what you're doing is really something special.

The problem with the beating heart argument is that most women do not know they're pregnant until a heart beat is already there. The heartbeat comes extremely quickly in a pregnancy, but I just don't think anything after the first trimester is ethical bc that's when they develop the ability to feel emotion, physical pain, experience bonding, etc.
Sadly there is just not one good answer that makes sense to everyone.

Lmao being transgender is not a sexual desire… and nobody is pushing it on anybody dude, people just want to live their lives without feeling scared for their life or legal rights. That’s all. You don’t have to understand why trans people exist, but clearly they do. It’s not propaganda, they are not all indoctrinated, they just want to live how they feel most happy. The pushing it on others narrative just isn’t true. I think you’re other takes are nuanced and informed even if I don’t agree, but you went off the rails with this one. If you say you love everyone, would you prevent a person from living the way that makes them feel must themself/most happy? Not to mention, it affects no one but themselves. It’s their decision. @@ASMRReality yes, that is correct I do not think that is sexual, in most cases. Obviously there are men who find that type of thing simply a turn on or whatever you want to call it. If you think people transition just so they can live out that sexual fantasy, that’s a little delusional. Why would someone uproot their entire life just for that? Risk being cast out by everyone in their community? Don’t you think someone would only make such a contrarian decision if they felt it was the only way they could be their true self? Besides, I am 100% most trans people you and me see in daily life, we have absolutely no clue. Thru meds, surgery, etc, transition is actually possible and I really don’t see why I would prevent someone from doing that. It harms nobody. And if you say it’s self harm, then fine!! That’s their decision. This is America.

I've got a pretty controversial one swirling around in my head right now for my next one. I'm going to keep doing my journal themed videos but as part of my journaling, I feel I need to talk to myself about these topics that need to be worked out still. I think you'll like it! As for the beard...yeah I rocked it for a little bit but I just felt for my job it was a little rougher than I wanted to present myself. Someday I will be able to fully be myself and not have to worry about first impressions and all the little things that can make or break a sale in my job.

As a libertarian I think the economic positives of immigration outweigh any criminal negative. Heavily disagree with the “ there must be rules and regulations” but that’s the libertarian in me
I have a liberal friend that is very good at articulating his side and defending his opinions. He feels, if left to libertarians, we would be dumping our trash in the rivers just because we can and the air would have already killed us without the EPA stepping in. He was the first person that actually made me feel there is likely no way to completely self govern any longer, though I wish we could.
He expresses this opinion well. He might be good to bring on for the liberal side of things. Just don't think he whispers...and he doesn't know that I am ASMR REALITY! LOL!

What bothers me about the world now is the news media. I’m one of those people that believe not everything is as bad as it seems, but nowadays you only see news broadcasts broadcasting the bad or violent things that happen in the world. There is good stuff that happens in the world, even if the bad outweighs the good, I believe there is some good. And it bothers me that they don’t show the good stuff as much. I hope maybe someday the world will be a better place, because it scares me to think once I start having children, I’ll have to raise my children in the world we live in.

They wouldn't report on anything bad, just the good. That way people could always have something uplifting to watch. Thank you for making this. For whatever reason, listening to people whisper politics is incredibly relaxing to me. This has become one of my very favorite videos. I think the only real competition on this front comes from Chycho’s old stuff.
I would love to see a collab. You have very different lenses, but I wager you could find common ground or at least enjoy exploring your differences!
I just checked out his channel. Looks very interesting for sure. He has thousands of videos so I got a lot to dig into. I have never done a collab and not even sure how to do one but would definitely be interested in doing those in the future. This is one of my most popular videos but certainly one that has garnered the most hate of any of my videos. Politics is so divisive these days but I wanted to let my subscribers know where I stood on some of these issues. There is always a price to pay in taking a side but it was something I was willing to do to remain authentic to the people that have supported me. Thank you for being respectful. Although I'm not American I can easily say that the US when it comes to the presidential elections is such a mess , dividing the whole country into 2 parts , sometimes that resulting in racist comments and/or violent behaviour.
I never liked politics myself and never got into them. I don't like judging people based on their religious views, political choices or anything that falls in between or anything in general. I'd rather judge a person by their character and the way they are , rather than their wealth , clothes and what not .
While the subject of politics bores me , it bores me so much in fact that it makes for such great ASMR content.
I appreciate your video , and the intention though! I Also appreciate the bravery in opening such a controversial subject and I know you did it because you feel comfortable with the community you have and that is honestly really really cool.

Great comment Bloodsky! I used to not be bothered by it. It truly is recent developments that have really started to affect me. Our Congress passed a rule that they are not allowed to use the word mother, father, sister or brother in Congress for fear that it might offend someone. Things are getting strange and I'm worried about what else may come. Things like this are like a disease. If you catch it and stop it early, its much easier than dealing with it once it festers and grows. There's a part of me that thinks we are already too far beyond saving but another part of me that wants to get in the fight and try to help. I'm still torn on which way to go. I do sincerely appreciate your input though and really glad it was good ASMR for you.
@@ASMRReality I think that people are generally more easily offended these days. Anything you say now is either sexist, racist etc. People should first of all take a step back and realize that they are dragging the world down and stop being such a snowflake when it comes to minor things... Change comes with people but they are the reason that this ever started. I do relate to you when you said a part of you felt like there is no hope while the other wants to hold on and fight since I sort of feel the same way .. only problem is that change will not come from 2 people .. or 5 people or 10. It sucks that there needs to be a massive global event to make us understand we need eachother (sort of like COVID did at the start) but only to later return to the bad habits that we used to have before all of it. I guess that's just the nature of humans and while you can't change everyone you can still help yourself and the ones you love. It will take a heck of a lot a of people to do it and time but if there's one thing we all have during the pandemic ... It's time.
Would love to see more civic/political videos like this that make a stressful subject relaxing and educational

Hey glad you’re still making videos. Also glad to hear of some of your open mindedness. One thing that I didn’t quite agree with is your stance with trans people. I think the only thing your missing is a little more research and understanding the difference between sex and gender. I struggled with this when I was younger but my view was able to change. Two sexes, based on the genitalia and chromosomes, but gender is a spectrum that you are able to identify with. So your gender is how you feel and what you identify with. It’s proven that someone can feel like a different gender than their sex, and it is the same idea that it is not a choice just like sexuality is not a choice. “Man” and “woman” obviously are not going to become slurs that is ridiculous. I am big proponent of selective vocabulary and try to use my words that respect everyone, like the point of saying “the gays” can be offensive but “gay people” is not. Once I got past the point that realizing the benefits outweigh the minor inconvenience to me I was able to become more open minded.
I respect your views as well Tyrosine but you might want to stay up on current events a little better. Words are being outlawed.

@@ASMRReality yes and it also states in the Republican Party’s official platform that they want to outlaw gay marriage and two of the justices on the Supreme Court recently opened up a panel by stating they want to reverse the oberg case that legalized gay marriage. These things *hopefully* won’t happen and we know not to trust politicians. That’s a selective extreme example that you picked to try and make it seem like you’re losing your free speech. That idea as a whole also isn’t a bad thing as like instead of saying “policeman” it’s “police officer” because woman are police officers too. I respect people’s views but I find it hard to understand what is bad about these types of things. Social justice issues may take some getting used to but they are rarely bad nor are they really ever on the wrong side of history
I’m trans and watch your videos. You definitely have different views than me and potentially some fundamental misunderstandings in my opinion. I hope that time will open people’s minds to the idea that gender is not binary, and neither is sex. It’s not that simple but I understand why those believe it is. We’ve been brought up to believe such an idea even though many cultures around the world do not have the same view on gender or sex.
We obviously have some disagreements and I will concede that I may have some evolving to do on this issue. Thank you for being respectful.
your trans takes a bit insensitive, it is definitely not as extreme as you are making it seems, especially in Indiana, you should listen to a lot of the more moderate trans people that aren't insane about it, also language evolves all the time, i understand you arent spreading hate though.

the world is confusing from the republican side as much as it is from the democratic side. i try not to identify myself to a certain side since they both have controversial topics, but i know what i believe in. thank you for maintaining your respect when approaching each of the topics you mentioned. i may or may not not agree to everything you mentioned, but that’s what makes us human; different. i wish all political talks would be as calm as this, i feel it would make greater change than constant fighting when something gets slightly controversial. i love all humans, i love people so much. and i think that’s what we really have to focus on, loving each other and protecting every single person even if they’re different from us, because that’s what makes the threads of this beautiful thing we are called mankind. enough bloodshed, war, protests, violence, and hate, we need to love. thank you again for your video, and have a great night sir :)

Being Irish, I'm neither a Republican or a Democrat. Also grew up Catholic but lost my faith a long time ago too. But whatever views anyone has, they are entitled to it, nobody can change it and nor should they try to. Great video by the way.👍👍

I think you’re view on abortion is far more on the conservative side. The heartbeat bill in Texas was praised by conservatives, and utterly loathed, and roundly condemned by liberals.
Yeah I agree I lean more conservative on this one but there are many conservatives that think I am wicked for even being open to allowing them at all. Ultimately, it would just be nice if we could find some sort of common ground so we could quite arguing about it. Sadly, some on the right will not be happy until all abortions are outlawed and some on the left won't be happy till you can kill your own 1 year old child.
I think we will be debating topics like this till the end of time because no one will agree on common ground. To me, the only logical compromise is the heartbeat but liberals will be fighting for 9 month abortions and extreme conservatives will be fighting for no abortions at all.
Firstly I'd like to say I enjoy your content and your asmr and I like the fact you can speak openly about your political beliefs and how side with both sides on different policies . I'd consider myself to be left wing I'm from the UK so the party I vote for is the labour party, I think it's critical to remember at the end of the day we will have different views and opinions because if we didn't we would have a world that would be even more evil and both sides the left and the right need to understand we can only work when we work together and when we work with love and the true Intent to make the world a better place for us all finally I hope the world is treating you great all the best my brotha 💙

I think we disagree fundamentally on something. Would you ever pull the plug on someone that’s brain dead? Personally, I wouldn’t want to live that way. I don’t even classify a vegetative state as living. Just because the hearts beating doesn’t mean life to me but I still agree with the no abortions past 9 month take. I’d just strip out the heartbeat part and instead include the wailing and the arms/legs moving as you said later on. Excellent video
Well pulling the plug on someone in a vegetative state is letting them die. If their heart is beating, they are still considered alive. This is sort of the point of the definition of alive vs dead. Though vegetative, they are still alive because their heart is beating. By pulling the plug, you are effectively ending their life by allowing their heart to stop beating. I just think it's the simple compromise but maybe not as simple as I hoped since you are debating it.

It really is sad that the American political spectrum is limited between 2 parties that are both ideologically derived from liberal capitalism.
In the distant past there was not much difference between the two so being limited to only 2 was even worse. Now there is at least a very stark difference between the paths each party wants to take so at least now it is a true choice. But, I agree, being limited to two and neither being great options is not good. It is obviously reflected in the chaos we see today. I have some hope that we can get this figured out but we better do it soon or things could get really bad.

I think this was a cool idea. I thought it was interesting to hear other opinions on topics so I thought I’d share some of mine to over share online and so you’re not the only one sharing your opinions
1 I am pro-choice, I believe it’s not my body it’s not my decision. But I won’t speak on late term abortions bc I’m not too educated on those.
2 Immigration is a complete mess in our country. I think we should be documenting who’s coming into the country but I also know it can be a long process and for people escaping bad situations that can suck. I think if we could find a way to better the process of coming to America legally that could be a real game changer.
3 Personally I still see a lot of republican people who are against gay marriage. And as someone who is trans I don’t see a lot of support from the Republican Party for trans people even just existing. But I do believe trans people should be allowed to play on the sport team of their gender. Trans women are woman and trans men are men. I know some people argue advantages but what about cisgender people who are born tall (volleyball) or with shoulders ideal for swimming.
As for children transitioning, you can’t get gender reassignment surgery’s done as a child the youngest you could be is 16-17 ish. Even then there are a bunch of hoops to jump through to get them before you’re an adult. And puberty blockers are completely reversible they just stall puberty.
As for trans people being seen more on TV I think it’s a good thing to normalize people being themselves and doing what they want with their bodies.
Also she/her and he/him will always be around and be used by trans and non trans people but not everyone wants to use them for themselves and that’s fine!
Another thing is biological sex is different than your gender identity. Trans people aren’t trying to change what their biological sex is they’re changing what their gender identity is.
4 Separation of church and state is very important. Personally I think when people in power are looking at laws that don’t align with their religion they need to not think about what their religion would say and look at the people they’re supposed to be representing. And as someone who is somewhat religious I would like to add that personally when I “meet my maker” I don’t think they will judge me because I am how they made me. They gave me to power to think so I used it.

I appreciate differences but I do hope for your sake that your "maker" is not the Christian God...otherwise, I am quite certain his response will be quite different than you think. Leviticus 20:13.

The advantages that male athletes can have heavily outweighs any of the advantages a female athlete can have, and the male athletes will way more commonly have those advantages and combinations of them making them more likely to have both natural and male exclusive advantages. Not sure if you know this, but professional teams of female sports players have been pitted against highschool boys before in multiple different kinds of competitions, from sports like running to swimming to soccer etc, and the highschool boys have consistently won almost all of them with not many exceptions. Arguing that it's not unfair is absolutely delusional whether you believe that trans men are men and trans women are women or not.
That said, I don't believe it. I don't think you are what you say you are, you need to meet certain criteria to become that thing. That's why we ask "what is a woman?", So we know what you are claiming to be. And also if you are already this thing and gender is seperate from sex, why do you need to have surgeries that affect your sex to appease your gender? A lot of loose ends.
Number 3 is full of straight-up falsehoods. Transwomen are not women. Women are female; the whole reason that transwomen are “trans” in the first place is that they are male.
You seem to believe that sex differences only extend to genitals. In actuality, our sex determines every single cell in our body. Men have larger hearts and lungs than women, meaning they have more red blood cells and therefore greater stamina. Women have a bigger Q angle in their hips, which facilitates childbirth but impairs our speed when running. Men have a bigger, broader musculoskeletal structure and muscles which are adapted to more advanced growth and recovery than females. The big shoulders/narrow hips that come with a male frame make men much more aerodynamic swimmers (that’s why “Lia” Thomas, the UPenn trans swimmer, ranked only 300th amongst the male competition but became #1 and set numerous records once he started competing against females). The list goes on. In explosive strength, stamina, speed, etc, men are just so much more physically capable. Listen to Serena Williams make this point on David Letterman. She’s the #1 female tennis player, GOAT, and yet she knows she wouldn’t be able to beat a male tennis player ranked in the 30s (or lower). And Serena Williams is a powerhouse of a woman - she has a very masculine build and is at the very top percentile of female performance. It is neither fair nor safe for males and females to compete together (with some exceptions).
As for mutilating and sterilising children, which is what transition actually entails, you’re still peddling falsehoods. We have documented evidence of hospitals such as Boston’s Children’s Hospital and Vanderbilt Hospital performing *surgeries* on prepubescent children as young as 13. And referrals start as young as 4. This is insane. It’s the modern day lobotomy. These treatments are NOT reversible. Removed tissue/limbs do not respawn and puberty blockers like Lupron cause serious side effects including osteoporosis, cardiovascular disorders, cognitive impairment and infertility. They also completely impair sexual function. These are the same drugs that were used to chemically castrate ped*philes and gay men in the 50s.
I’m only scratching the surface here. Please inform yourself on this because it’s an absolute scandal and so many children are having their lives ruined by exploitative and ideologically charged doctors. There is footage of these doctors at Vanderbilt Hospital cooing over how they can make an estimated $1 million per child “if we start them young enough.” That’s how they view you. As the cash cows that keep on giving. And they’ll dump you as soon as you change your mind or express concern about your health. Wake up.

I agree Alexandria. I have never been more glad that I don't have kids that will be living in the future that is coming. Also, for the first time in my life, I would not want to be younger. I would not trade lives with a teenager in order to be young again. I would not want to start all over in this world.
@@derekmanis I completely agree. I'm in my early 20's but I wouldn't want to see that decline over the past 20 years again. I was apart of the last generation to use VHS tapes, before the age of smartphones... my first phone was a "senior value", $15 a month haha. I can't imagine growing up with the internet as it is now. Even the early 2000's, it was so different.

I'd say overall you're pretty sound, however when you start accusing trans people of "playing dress up" it gets really uncomfortable and possibly unintentionally bigoted. You also repeatedly said "it" rather than they. It's very dehumanizing to be called an it.
One other note I would give you some criticism of is it seems like you don't know much about asexuality (mainly based on your point about humans having this innate sex drive)

Great observation Cristian. 'I'm not sure if you are American but in this country, nearly 80% of folks would check yes that they believe in God...including my mother and father and most of the rest of my family. It's a topic I cannot escape. Just because I do not believe, it does not make me stop thinking about it. In this video, I discuss it in relation to people's political beliefs. I respect people who do believe and am truly envious of those that do. I wish I could believe in it and maybe that is why I continually discuss it. Maybe I am trying to convince myself.

Hey man, I really enjoyed this videos and im probably gonna check out more from yours but I just wanted to comment on a small thing you said in the transgender part of the video where you said your afraid you wont be able to say He and She no more. I assure you that no one from the trans movement whose transitioning to the opposite gender wants to take away your right to call someone by a he or by a she. What most people mean when referring to this kind of thing is when someone who is trans, and is passing (as in they look like the gender they are biologically not) that people will on purpose call them by the wrong pronouns just to kinda tick them off. No hate, love your stuff!

I completely understand where you're coming from about being scared about gender identities changing. I'm in my late teens and I have a lot of non-gender conforming friends, so I wanted to reassure you that most democrats don't support changing the idea of man and woman (maybe a small portion do, but the majority just want to be more inclusive.) At least from my perspective, making a distinction between sex and gender is important. For example, someone who is intersex may have the physical appearance of a man but have the genetic composition of both genders; in these cases I think broadening the horizon around what gender means is really important to help include them. Anyway, I really liked listening to what you had to say and you made me think about a lot of things more deeply! Sorry for the long comment, haha.

You claim that there’s a difference between sex and gender, and then immediately contradict yourself by using “gender” to refer to biological sex. It’s hard to take the gender ideologues seriously when they can’t even keep up with their own ideas.
And many of us are fed up of “intersex” (an outdated and inaccurate term - these are called sex development disorders) being used as a kind of “gotcha” against the sex binary. Not only is this a minuscule number of people (less than 0.02% by most accounts), it’s ludicrous to suggest that these people are NEITHER male nor female, or BOTH female and female. No such person has ever existed. All it takes to be classed as “intersex” is for a woman to be born with only one ovary, or without a uterus, or with a residual penis. These aren’t ambiguously sexed people; they are women with birth defects. It should also be noted that DSDs occur ONLY in females.
This demographic has been exploited by TQ+ lobby groups for political clout. It’s a way for them to push the “we’re born this way” narrative and try to build a victim narrative.
Sorry, but this fixation on gender and manipulation of basic facts of biology has to stop. The whole concept of gender needs done away with. No one can agree on what it means. But everyone understands what sex is and understands the importance of material reality. Forget trying to be “inclusive”. When “inclusion” turns out to mean including males in female spaces and sports, it becomes glaringly obvious why exclusion is in certain circumstances so necessary.
About the trans issue. Kids don't go to surgery, they only get hormone blockers and those effects are reversible.

If I may react, I think you have confused two things: trans-identity and cross-dressing. I respect your clarification and view point on this. Ultimately I just think science and biology should supersede our feelings. I respect the freedom for anyone to dress or act how they feel. I love that I live in a country where this is the case. I just think we let the pendulum swing too far when we try to educate children that men can have vaginas and women can have penises. We are superseding truth in science and biology. There are more than sex organs at play scientifically as well. There are chromosomal differences as well. We are seeing women with world records being destroyed today because we have allowed the takeover of biological men into women's sports. I feel awful for those women that worked so hard to get themselves to elite status among women and now their world records and championships are being stolen by biological men that feel like they are women and are now legally allowed to compete against women in their own sports. Strangely, men get unaffected by all of this. Only women get hurt in all of this. I shoudn't care as much as I do about this topic but I just have a lot of empathy for the women that are hurt the most by this new world order of things.

It’s interesting that you state you believe in freedom, yet you come up with dictator-like takes over and over again.
I think it would help if you actually listened to more videos on trans people and their real-life experiences.
Trans people are not cross-dressers which you totally mixed up. Someone is born trans (that’s how they always felt), while cross-dressers just pick the clothes they wanna wear and it’s the opposite of their gender. Also, the hugeee majority of trans people do not regret transitioning. Only 3% regret that and that’s mostly because of the society and transphobia.
You don’t just go in and take puberty blockers without a medical advice and you don’t just require a sex change at the hospital. You won’t get your penis cut at the age of 14. That just doesn’t happen.
When it comes to sports, there are extremely few cases of actual successful trans athletes. A lot of these trans women compete with cis women and still they lose. Yes, there is an advantage in certain sports like swimming or tennis if you transition after puberty, but simply being trans doesn’t guarantee any world record.
Also, a penis doesn’t mean that you’re automatically a man and a vagina doesn’t automatically mean that you’re a woman.
Biological sex is not the same thing with gender.
There are so many cases of intersex people and besides that why would trans people transition and go through all the transphobia if they don’t actually feel like they are the opposite gender?
One more thing as a gay man:
Please stop saying you love someone if you don’t validate their existence as human beings on this planet. That’s just not love. Religious people use that tactic to make it seem like they actually care for the people, but they don’t. They spread a lot of hate and it leads to suicide, mental problems and even shootings / other crimes against LGBTQ+ people. That’s hate, not love!

It would be far more admirable and respectful to speak to trans people. Pronouns are not slurs. They're language. I'm a biologically born woman who wears a binder for comfortbility. I am not scary, I'm human. As are all trans people. I mean no hate by this comment, I just think some of the ways you described today's society and the trans community was quite harmful. You are not living in a "strange world," trans people have always existed, and always will, and they are not "it's."
I certainly meant no disrespect and thought I was pretty clear that I believe everyone has the right to live how they want to live. I do not think you are anyone that lives like you is scary. My definition of strange is "different." Maybe I should have said we are living in a "different world" instead of a strange world." i personally think abortion should be legal up until birth because i would feel hypocrit for not being okay with it, when we slaughter millions of animals just for food , so if slaughtering animals for food is okay, then killing a baby is also okay for me. i mean both are horrible, but i'd feel like a hypocrit to be okay with one of them and not the other. because to be honest i value animal life the same as human life.

Good video, over the last few months I’ve gone from a full progressive to a conservative. I definitely was getting more conservative over time but eventually I did more and more research and reading then it sped the process up.
I certainly think given the two choices, you made the right one today. I think the key is not get too caught up in the team and always stay aware of what they are doing. There may be a day it is better to be on the progressive side. Today is not that day though. They have lost their minds for the moment.

The issue is not with differing opinions, its with espousing ignorance like you do here.
