This is a win now league. Teams mortgage their future for immediate success now, plenty of teams have done that in the past 5 years. If any team actually thought he would give them the best chance to win, his age would not stop them from hiring him. His age is not a factor. Teams don’t care about what happens in 3 years. Exactly... which is why I don't see why the Falcons, of all teams, would want him. With the offensive weapons they have, I'm shocked they aren't prioritizing a young, creative offensive mind who knows how to spread the ball around. Arthur Smith's offense was so archaic and lacked creativity. What's even worse is that they let their defensive coordinator walk after he turned them into one of the top 10-15 units in the league. Teams are not calling Belichick because the argument of who is the source of the New England Patriots success during the Tom Brady Era and years has been answered over the last 2-3 seasons since Tom Brady left New England. If Belichick would have retired or sought to move to another team let's say, 2 years ago, his marketing value would have been exponentially higher at that time than at this time. If Belichick could have advanced New England even to the first round of the playoffs after Tom Brady. his market value would have been exponentially higher at this time. Fact is, New England is less than even a shell of themselves since Tom Brady and draw little to no fear in coming opponent the way they used to. These facts and points have legitimately and justly caused owners to ask the question, what are we getting with Belichick, (possibly just a high cost disciplinarian average coach whose ego wants to run most of everything?) or are we getting a 🏆 winner no matter the circumstances in our organization?..AMEN. .SELAH!

The duo of Belichick & Brady were responsible for the 19-year domination of the Patriots. But it's quite clear to me that alone Belichick could never establish a winning season with any team as HC until Tom Brady came into his life. Accidentally even. And since Belichick likes control over team management and player choice, at this point in time I believe no team will take the risk in hiring him.

Could Brady? People quickly cite Tampa. That team was struggling at 7-5 off 2 consecutive losses going into bye week and month of December. Then their defense got hot making game very difficult for Brees, Rogers on the road in playoffs and finally Mahomes at home in SB. What other D has shutdown Mahomes and KC offense for 4 quarters in a meaningful game? Nothing against the great Tom Brady but great D and good offense enabled that Tampa SB run. Also, Belichick was instrumental as DC in 2 Giants SB wins. The 2nd w/“two pair” as LT likes to point out. In fact, the Giants D carried Belichick off the field after that win. Do you people ever think maybe Tom Brady’s incredible success had something to do w/playing for Belichick and the NE organization? Simply time for Belichick to retire after long and legendary career as Super Bowl champion coach.

@@mike2565 LOL! Many teams won SB's with great defenses, what's your point? DC doesn't count as HC, so don't know why you even brought the Giants up. Belichick went 84-112-1 (subject to change) as HC without Brady. As it stands now, the majority of football fans believe (rightfully so IMO) Brady is more responsible for those 6 Chips, than Belichick is.
At the time Brady left New England, I was hesitant to say who was more responsible for the Pat's success between Belichick & Brady. I was giving Belichick the benefit of doubt, despite me knowing his sub .500 record as HC prior to Brady. Even totally excluding what Brady did in Tampa... the disaster that Belichick has looked like since Brady left, really seems to clear up who was primarily the one responsible for the Pat's success.

I think what’s happened is, teams are sitting down with Bill and at the end of the interview they realize it was all Brady. In the last 20 years, most of his coordinators have failed as HCs and Belichick himself has failed as a HC without Brady, outside of one winning season with Matt Cassel.
