There was no Nitro on May 10, 1999, so only 4 episodes in May 1999. Also, in case you haven't seen, my surgery went really well and I am home and in recovery.
I feel like when Eric cut the "we lost the lead" interviews, that was the first time WCW tried to reboot the company. They doubled down on their big names focusing on Macho Man, Kevin Nash, Roddy Piper, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Sid, Goldberg, Sting. They tried to add more pop culture for mainstream crossover appeal with Rodman, Master P, KISS, ICP, Mills Lane, Arliss, Megadeath just throwing everything at the wall to try and get a boost in ratings.... By Aug, nothing has created any substantial buzz, Bischoff has a well known public blow up at the roster out of frustration in Las Vegas (the night they were restarting the Hogan/ Sting feud) and by Sept he was sent home. The Summer of 99 was crazy in WCW
A disqualification in a hardcore match...I mean it can't be worse. It's not like they could do a count out in a falls-count-anywhere match, right? RIGHT???
First of all, congratulations on your surgery being successful. That's the most important thing. Second, I will not continue this journey of old WCW shows unless you upload the rest. I refuse to find any other channels. So whenever June is uploaded, I'll be there waiting. Take care for now.
As a fan in UK in 99 and trust me when I say WCW was much bigger than WWF in the UK at the time! TNT becoming TCM then removing WCW really annoyed me back in 99 but as you can imagine looking back it saved me from some truly horrendous booking. 24 years later I'm still struggling to watch further than May 99, this promotion truly fell off a cliff after this point. Utterly unwatchable nonsense!
*WCW was on network TV here in the UK in 1999/2000- they were on Channel Five. Didn't last long though. Have to disagree with WCW being bigger than WWE in 1999, or at any point. WWE was much bigger, to the point that they were running UK-only PPVs, admittedly not very often but WWE was far bigger than WCW in the UK in 1999.*
@@MattSingh1 no it was not, those UK only ppvs were terrible and fans knew they got ripped off, even in 2000 when WCW came here it was sold out and huge, the only thing you're correct about is the Network TV thing and in 99 WCW was obviously watched by more UK fans because it was free. Honestly guys like you are what killed any way of being a fan of wrestling in this country. Smart but stupid, disrespectful, condescending and completely wrong. WCW on channel 5 was unwatchable, my original comment was about WCW being taken off TNT in mid 99 so why on earth you felt the need to go that deep over the whole WCW vs WWF War is creepy and strange regardless.
ty for the upload, and glad to hear your surgery went well.
Great to hear the surgery went well, have a good recovery ❤💜❤️

*Hate to break it to you...*
Oh boy…does it get worse.
I'm watching these in chronological order... a countout in a falls count anywhere match you say?...you've given me much to think about...
Can’t wait for you to upload June and July, that’s when I remember the ship completely sunk 😂
Thank you for the work you do and hoping you have a speedy recovery ✌🏿💜
Literally just finished April (finally) and was sad to be at an end. Thanks for posting!
Thanks so much glad you're doing well
Have a well and speedy recovery friend. Enjoy

Horace hit 7000 moves in a row. None of them were any good. 😂

You're a good man, Charlie Brown

WCW was not bigger in the UK. Not even close, regardless of a terrestrial tv slot. WWE could have that anytime but they want paying for their show.
WCW Worldwide was an absolute pigs ear of a show, random matches from each show not even shown in any kind of coherent order. I loved it.
