When I worked at GC in Hollywood in 2001, we were closing up one night and heard insanely loud Bass coming from the guitar/bass area. The closing manager screamed "WTF!", And we all ran out to see him tear some sales guy a new a$$hole. We found a sales guy with Lemmy demoing bass amps in the tiny bass amp room at full volume.
Needless to say no one got chewed out by the manager, we all just smiled and watched Lemmy play at whatever volume he damn well wished..
Very cool memory. Kinda like this scene.

I remember going there in like 2000 and QOTSA bought their whole backline with white road cases for like $600 bucks. It was Josh Homme and the bald bass dude. Apparently the Ampeg bass cabinets once belonged to Rod Stewarts band during a 70s or 80s tour. So if you see the white amps in a vid of them in the early days, I saw those things getting dollyed out the door ! dont remember meeting them though

He employed vibrating trills and unexpected bell-like harmonics, glissandos that travelled the length of his entire fretboard, parts that echoed or reinforced lead riffs and vocal lines, and even chords strummed across two or more strings that created an all-enveloping wash of low- frequency resonance. What’s more, he made it look easy." If that's not a guitarist who plays bass then I don't know what is, you tell me? Lemmy was my buddy, almost every Friday and Saturday night when Lemmy was not touring he use to come to Rainbow club on Sunset blv and he would hangout on the second floor.
There was a PAC-MAN video game in the corner between the bar and the small dance floor and the DJ booth. He was a PAC-MAN freak and that’s how I met him I was playing pac-man waiting for my bodies to show up and he came sat across of me set a quarter on the pac-Man screen and started watching me play waiting for his turn. It was one of those video games that looked like a coffee table where the screen is flat and there is to Joystix on each side. He was all excited because I was cleaning stages one after one. It took me 1.5 hr to loose but I had a very high points. When I was done and I was about to get up he said I am paying for your next game do you want to against me I said why not he started playing first I got beers for us and that was the start of a very long and
Cool friend ship between Lemmy and I.
For almost 10 years we were good buddies he was a very down to earth human being.
    RIP BUDDY.

From a 1996 interview: On the topic of authors and books, Lemmy's favourites include Michael Moorcock, Philip K. Dick ("he's great!"), J. G. Ballard, and Len Deighton. He has a soft spot for Len Deighton's two Bernard Sampson trilogies (Berlin Game, Mexico Set, London Match, continued with Spy Hook, Spy Line, and Spy Sinker), which Lemmy thinks is an amazing piece of work" since they all "fit together as one." Lemmy also reads a lot of documentaries concerning the topic of war, particularly World War I and II. Why about war? "Because it's the most popular pastime in the world. Everybody seems to be doing it. I like the big ones because it shows man at his worst."

You see, this one goes to 11.5. That's literally .5 louder than the loudest possible.
Technically, there's nowhere left to go up from 11.5 that I can even imagine, unless maybe you add a second volume knob that goes up to 11.5 again. That's 2-11.5's, which could be louder than only 1-11.5, but we don't know, because that's too many numbers we're dealing with at that point, and we're talking about loudness and not numbers anyway, you see. I can't very well yell at you with a 7, because what would it even mean, mate?
I think then that the loudest Amp would probably have a volume knob with no numbers. See, that way it can't be limited by numbers. We would just know its loudest because no one could put numbers on it and make it less loudest.
